There are many places to ride in WI.

BRF would be my suggestion too. They are open to bikes. They close the trails October 15th but will be open til Monday morning according to Jill at the chamber. A good amount of mud & water can be found there also. For mud I understand that the dead horse is supposed to be premo but have not done it YET. Another good trail is Trail 31 south from Birchwood into Rusk county many "puddles".

How far are you willing to drive?
Are you looking for scenery, or deep woods? Some mudding or lots of it?
An easy place to start, would be the trails around Black River Falls. They are pretty open, and not very challanging.
Be aware some of the trails close for hunting season, so check or call before going up.

After seeing your photos, youll probably be bored at brf. Theres no challange there, but lots of wide sandy high speed trails. Also there can be lots of prople there on the weekend, best time for that trail is during the week.
If you want a muddy challange, try out the Dead Horse Run, its the mudiest, slipperyest, 25 mile trail i know. Itll take all day to go the 25 miles, ...and bring friends, because you dont want to do this trail with less than 6 quads. The trail starts just north of Loretto, up by Park Falls.

Hey...

We got back from BRF a couple of weeks ago... We did the Hatfield to BRF and back on Yamaha dirt bikes... It was a 40 mile or so round trip...

. It was fun and challenging to say the least... We have a 250f and ttr 125L... If you can ride in somewhat deep sand and enjoy it... It will be great... If you can't or don't want to, then you might try somewhere else...

It is not impossible on dirt bikes... just take your time and pace yourself... Alot of quads will be around also and alot more rain now then 2 weeks ago..

Nick

Happy Trails.

Thanks, that place sounds pretty cool, I'll have to check it out. One lase question, what about dirt bikes? Is it pretty much more of a 4-wheeler place?
