I recieved an e-mail stating we had picked up 3 large dumpster loads of trash off of the trails. I was supprised with the amount that was being brought in and where they were finding it all, there are so many side trails that I have never been on and there was lots of garbage on them. My little boy went with me and even though I was suffering from a bad cold and could hardly talk we got there around 10am and stayed until 4 and then I was just to tired to stay for the BBQ. I work nights and had got off at 6am so by the time I had got home around 6:30 I ate dinner took a bath and crashed.
I had dropped off a friend when we went out on saturday and planned on picking him up sunday evening but he called around 8am and wanted to know if I could come get him then because unlike the weather from saturday(81 degrees and very little wind) it was blowing hard and rain and the mosiquotos were out in force. He informed me that party island was covered in empty beer cans and plastic cups, which was disheartning because we had spent alot of time cleaning it up but the party'ers(graduation season) showed up after we were done and trashed the place.
Overall I was pleased with all the ATV'ers who showed up, around a 100 of them.
