I just got back yesterday. Fun ride. The dunes are east of the dry lakebed. Plenty of room ror an RV. There were about 12 other camps scattered around.

I, so far have only entered off of the 247, about 10 miles past Lucerne Valley. There is a big sign at the entrance. 2 miles north to the dry lakebed, and park anywhere. The dunes I found are a couple of miles east. Others have explored more than I have. Where are the best dunes at Johnson Valley?

I would like some information on Johnson Valley..... what exit to turn off of on Hwy 247, where are the good spots to stay with an RV and where are the sand dunes? - (ok, I hear it's not exactly Glamis....)
The BLM website just doesn't give enough info.
We went to El Mirage a month ago and really liked it, but we'd like to try another place near Victorville area - any other suggestions?

Which dry lake bed are they east of? Aren't there several dry lake beds there?
