thurmonator, let us know when your group goes riding and maybe we can hook up for a ride.

I'm in Kenner. I'm a member of the South La. Trailblazers www.SLTrailblazers.org You should check it out. We have members in your area. We ride the Bonnet Carre Spillway all the time and we help maintain it. Check the site for updates on rides etc.

btw, I had a buddy from Pride named Laramie.. he moved up north somewhere, like Wyoming. Know him?

Did i read that right.Barney tried smoothing out the dunes.Hell that's better than nothing. We spent the weekend at Holly Beach.Got some good racing in saturday morning, then the rain came about 1 o'clock in the afternoon.

Posted by: 1BigDSRider

Kfx, Looks like we might be headed to the dunes this Saturday. Watching the weather and waiting to find out if we have to work this weekend. I will know tomorrow night.

Posted by: 1BigDSRider

Yes I got everything in and hopefully lined out. Its been awhile since I made a trip to the dunes. To long in fact. I will be leaving Lake Charles around 8:30 or so and should arrive around 10am. Hopefully I will meet afew of you there. Can't miss me, real big guy riding a black Ds.

Just getting back from the Dunes. Barney actually made an attempt to smooth out an area for us to run. Thou it was a narrow strip. The rest of the dunes still very ruff. Not to many quads there today, anywhere from 50-75 quads there. I guess the rain kept people away. I had a good time and the bike ran well. It got better as the day went on.

Posted by: 1BigDSRider

Yes, Barney made an attempt. They smoothed an area about 3 or 4 bikes wide and 300ft. long.

Holy beach is in Cameron, Parish south of Sulphur. La. Approximatly 45 minutes from Sulphur.

Its a pretty good haul from north Louisiana, expecially for a day ride.

Hey,

I'm from the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Bay St. Louis. I do travel all over Louisiana pretty often so fill me in on the rides. I'm off on weekends so I'll drive and meet up somewhere. Email me anything about this, Chevy181@aol.com.

Posted by: thurmonator

any of you from Louisiana? We have a big group that goes riding every month. Sometimes we have over 30 bikes. Any others out there that go riding? We ride at Fort Polk, Forest Hill, and the LA Dunes.

Posted by: thurmonator

carnage, im going to W.Monroe this summer. My uncle rides dirt bikes so we go to tracks out there. I forgot where it was but we rode in woods too. Maybe you could ride with us this summer

as for you others, im not sure when our next trip is. At the bigging of summer when school lets out im pretty sure we're going to Forest Hill.

Posted by: thurmonator

Posted by: newrider1627

Hey guys,

I'm near Shreveport and I too am always lookin to ride. We should meet up sometime and head out. I'm always lookin to meet new people to ride with.

Posted by: Rancheratblazer

I notice that it was an old thread, also!!! What part of Louisiana are you from? I'm from the Northwest part of LA!!! I would like to ride anytime you want. Just let me know!!!!

Posted by: mudfriendly

Wow, this is an old thread, but if any of you guys are still on here, I'm always down for a ride. We usually go to Camp Livingston or Camp Claibourne down around Alexandria. I also have a buddy that lives just a few miles from the Marengo swamp, around the Columbia/Monroe area. That place is some of the most awesome riding you will ever do, if you're into getting dirty. Anyway, I'm in Ruston, but I used to work offshore, so I've traveled South Louisiana alot and still do from time to time. Just let me know.

Posted by: mudfriendly

I'm from Ruston, which is in north-central Louisiana, just about 45 minutes south of the Arkansas border. I'm always ready for a ride. You can PM me or email me at farleyjustin@hotmail.com. Just give me a hollar.
