What happened to all the 50hp bikes that used to ride at St Joes? Man times have changed. LOL

I had to move a couple of bulldozers Sat because I'm starting a new car wash next week. I know St Joes will be a hit and miss for a while till I get it done, but it will be worth it.
I'm about to get one of my bikes back together.

The first 3 gears most of the bikes are pretty close. After that the big power comes on.

I am just hoping to have mine all together by 11 tommorrow. 1 motor is in the breakin process and right now I am taking a break from putting another bike together. It was a bare frame yesterday and I didn't get a chance to work on it today. I will be working on it LATE tonight. Thinking of trying the CPI's on it since I have never ran them on a stock motor. If I do, it will be a yellow framed bike with white cut front fenders and all the rest of the plastic is blue.
I am also waiting on bolts that will hopefully be here tommorrow. Otherwise my bike may be without plastic.
I might have to work until noon, so it could be as late as 2 before I make it up there.

Well, I didn't get to go ride this past weekend so I'm hoping to go this weekend. Right now it looks like Saturday may be the day for me.
If we get enough people to go, I'll make sure to be there whether I take a vacation day or have to be sick if you know what I mean.

I'm trying to wait until the last minute to take off work. So as long as they don't catch me off guard and call me before I take off, I'll be there.
I'm thinking about getting there very early, like 7 - 8 am to do some normal riding on my DS. Then around 11 swap to the Banshee and do some racing.

It was a beautiful day yesterday. There were people racing EVERYWHERE! I was impressed with the 450R. Anybody looking to buy a DS? BR>

I am doubtful that I'll be going next weekend. I think I've gone 3 of the last 4 weekends. Of course, I could be off work Saturday and if the weather is nice. . .

The green Kawi does has some work. I don't know what, I just remember Adam talking about it.
I too have had the chance to ride a 450R. Easy to stall with that tall first gear, but I like everything about it. I agree that the YFZ will be faster stock for stock, but that doesn't matter to me. I have ridden the YFZ as well, and I just like the Honda better.
I was going to try to sell the DS and get a 450R. With a lackluster response, I think that I might just keep the DS, try to work a little more and get a 450R next year. That will give me the Banshee to race, and the wife and I each a rideable quad.

Me and daren watched that tape the other night, thats was funny crap when i fell off Eric's bike. It was not to cool though because there was alot of people around that saw it, But its all good. So after i did that i had to redeam my self and i had to get on my bike and go raceBut i have to say, just for getting my bike that day about 2 hours befor i got there that bike ran very good. I have very happy with the way it runs. I hope we can all get together like that again that was cool with all the people watching and racing. hope to see u guys there again.

Hey i ordered my wheels today the 8th, i talked to joe and he helped me out and i got the once i needed and he told me that he had them in stock and that he would send them out today. He said depending on ups that i might have them by friday, i told him that, that would be sweet if i had them by friday. He said that if not friday i would have them monday. Great riding and racing today even if I did come in last most of the time. Biggin even had a Blaster beat him today. Flagless was consistent and had yet another flag fall off of his ride.

Yep, I ride the red DS and was parked closed to the rail in the overflow. I duct taped the flag back on and used an allen wrench as a splint! It worked! My oldest son rides the yellow 400 ex and is always losing his flag.
You should have come on over. I got to meet Daren420, PowerJunkie and a few others yesterday.
All you Banshee guys usually whip me pretty bad. The stock DS isn't that fast compared to you guys. I just settle for being loud!

Yeah it was pretty fun this weekend. Should be better if I get to go this weekend though. I've got some goodies for the Raptor coming in this week. It was pretty interesting to watch Daren420 race his Banshee. It was bad enough that he'd smoke everyone doing a wheelie but then he'd wheelie all the way back to the start line before anyone else was finished. Thats just poor sportsmanship man. We should really throw some farming discs on the back of that thing so he can kill two birds with one stone next time. LOL.

Today was the best racing I've seen at St. Joe....EVER! Kinda reminded me of LS. 2 waves of races 15-20 across. Man you gotta love it. I think Eric's girlfriend got some good footage of Jerrod falling off the 700 Kawi. LOL. The 450R impressed me alot. I don't know what kind of test riders Dirt Wheels has but I seen the 450R come from behind and pass that fast paddled YFZ450 several times today and both were experienced riders. It looks like we are in for a competitive drag season at St. Joe. How much does it cost for one of those blue bottles again?
STLBanshee...my son Zac had the red/black inframed CPI piped Banshee your talking about. His quad is totally stock with exception of the CPI's and clamp on K&N's. Danny is another guy that was there today with a stock blue Banshee with Pro Wedges and Paul Turner pipes that is impressively fast for a stocker. See you all next weekend if the weather holds out.

Sunday racing was kinda slow compared to Saturday however there was a fair amount of racing. The ranger did stop me and told us that we couldn't race the direction we were racing Saturday in front to the left. The ranger said we could race the other direction but by the end of the day we were racing the same direction as Saturday and he didn't seem to mind. We raced back by the dead tree for awhile but I don't think many people know to go there. By the dead tree it was fairly smooth and had some nice wet sand for good traction. In the far back it was all dust even without anybody racing which is OK because it's turning into a MX track with all the woops.
Larry was the fastest, Billy on his 250R was second fastest and Zac and I was swapped wins. Lot's of YFZ, Raptors, 450R's and EX's made up the field. Great weekend of riding. I rode Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Karen is complaining because the house smells like BenGae. (<This forum won't let you type anything refering to homosexuals...)
Jerrod....those belt slippers are sneaky little boogers aren't they? When I owned the Polaris it would start to wheelie about 20-30' out from the launch sometimes catching me off guard. It's all fun! Those CPI's look great on your and Daren's Banshee's. What did you do with the inframe CPI's?

Surprisingly the water wasn't as bad as you might think. There were the usual streams that were a little deeper, but still dragable. There was some dragging but not alot. Matt's 250R (the guy with the fast Tacate 3-wheeler) was the fastest. I took the EX and surprised alot of the YFZ and 450R guys. I adjusted the valves on the EX Tuesday and that seemed to make a difference. It's time for a new home for the EX. If any of you know someone that wants it, let me know. I might consider a Banshee trade if in good condition.

Yea I did see a 450R with a Sparks pipe but didn't know that was Adam....with helmets on and all. He was riding with a guy who was on a green Kawi 400. I think the green Kawi had some motor work done but didn't have a chance to talk to him for they raced a couple of races and left.
I did have a chance to ride one of the 450R's and they are more comfortable than the YFZ's. From what I witnessed it seemed that the YFZ was a tad faster than the 450R stock for stock.
Syko...I'll give you a call but I doubt that I ride next Sunday for I have to get my old apartment cleaned out.

was it the blaster that had the yz motor in..im not sure if it was a 125 or 250..but it was quick..my banshee isnt really as fast as I would like it..all I know it the paddles slowed me down..i think i was the only banshee on true paddles and not pro wedges or 4 snows..even though they are the uglyist tires out there the pro wedges hook good..and dont make you lose top end power..like paddles do..and another thing..i need cpi's if i wanna drag race..I was loosing bad to a banshee out there with about the same amount of work done to his as done to mine..but the difference in pipes is amazing..

ya, mines totaly stock with the exception of sst pipes, k&n with proflow adaptor, with no air box lid, and paddles (not gunna have paddles for long),,,and it looks like we are going down there today (sunday) agian..man this is alot of driving..with gas prices at 1.72..ouch..

me and jimmy went down there again today...drag racing was few and far between today it seemed..cause it was way to windy in the back..and in the morning we had like 2 drag races in and the we all lined up for another race..about 10 of us..and the park ranger came pullin up with his lights on..saying we cant drag in the front anymore..i was like whatever..so I went and changed tires and did some trail riding..it was packed down there again today..it was really windy though..so that kinda sucked..

hahaha the man is back..just 50 HP less not that thats a bad thing...me and the 450r really get along good....well besides yesturday (tuesday) i was hitting a pretty large jump at the sand piles all day long and one time i dunno what i was thinkin prolly pussy on my mind like usual..but anyways the 450 nose dived and went over top of me for a perfect 10!! Zach(yellow z) and doug (02 400ex) got a kick outta it and so did i, i felt like a dumbass.....word of advice when hitting a jump in 3rd pinned dont have pussy on your mind, i know from expeirence. later on in the day doug was pulling stand up wheelies and he pulled what i did on the banshee last summer, it went over on him lol i about died laughing hahaha anyways me and my buds will be at st joe this sunday 3-14 cyas out there!

well belive it or not the little motor will pull hard on the 500 till about 4th gear then the 500 will slowly pull past it.
but even agianst those big cc banshees I won't just give the race to them.
