Good afternoon PSAR. Been out getting the pickup serviced and doing a little shopping. Dealership that has been doing our oil changes for the pickup failed to wash the rig for the second time. Going somewhere else next time. Too bad, they had a good waiting area. Hate paying for something I don't get.

Well the Sick, lame, Lazy and Crazy Crew won't be going out this week. Bear is out attempting to fill the freezer and I'm leaving for the farm Friday. Won't be back till late next week. Wide as that DS is you'll have to take up road riding with the occasional golf course fairway for off road activity. Or you could get some different wheels.
Two weeks out looks like a go for a Wednesday ride last time I talked with Bear. Take a look at your schedule and pencil it in. Had a good time last time you went with us.

well i was reading our local dispatch paper...this is what i found....this beautiful boat launching facility on the north side of kapowsin lake was construted by caleb boettcher construction to serve hunters and fishermen. the opening was set back by vandalizism from four-wheelers who left tire tracks, set fire on the asphalt and attemted to steal the dock. they are being sought by the sheriff's department.......

Depends on when or if we get to shoot something. The season ends the 31st and I will go until SWMBO and I get 1 a each or the early season ends.

I thought the Great White Hunter would have the freezer filled by friday. Or is SWMBO slowing up the process?

You're not gonna get me to say that. She has carries a gun, is a better shot than me and didn't get a deer last year (neither did I, but that doesn't matter).

Yup, your right on that. If you were just trying to save money by hunting to put meat in the freezer you could shop at Safeway and pay less for the food.

Don't I know it. We hunt for 2 reasons. 1) We really like venison. 2) A day spent in the woods, does not count against you.

Good Morning PSAR!
Those people that are going riding this weekend, ride safe!
I will be going over to Kettle Falls to get my meat cutting suppplies from my uncle. Taking my gun to make sure the gun is sighted in.
The last week i have been getting the hunting stuff ready as we leave in two weeks from today. The walkie talkie's that we have our dead. They are Motorola's. Does anybody know where i can find the replacement batteries at? I was at Gi joes last night and Walmart and couldn't even find there walkie talkie's.
Posted by: LdyJay
Don't those motorolas take AA batteries in place of the recahrchable ones? Mine do. Of course, you can't recharge them and I don't think they last as long, but Costco has a 40 pack of AA batteries for something like $10. You could also look at Pacific Power on Broadway in everett across the street from the new Gervasi motorsports-I can't remember what they were renamed to, perhaps Everett Motorsports. It's the new shop directly across from the Stadium on Broadway. Anyway, Pacific Power carries or can get just about any type of battery for anything.
Failing all else, I have 4 of those walkie talkie units, 2 Motorola and 2 Cobra, you are welcome to borrow, JLMK.
Posted by: warriorqueen
Thanks Jayna!
I have 2 motorola's like i said and last year we had to use the AA batteries. They only last about a half a day. Went through quiet a bit of batteries in 10 days. I'll check out the store you are talking about on the way home, if everything fails I will go to costco and get those, i guess. I kind of wanted to find the replacement rechargable ones so i can reuse them. Thanks

Check at Wal-Mart for rechargeables. Last time I needed some they had them. Radio Shack also has them and all of the Model shops that sell RC Airplanes carry them.

Hello all, it has been a while for me. It has been quite crazy around our house the last couple weeks.
I wanted to let everyone know that Jenna has been in the hospital in Tacoma for the last couple days and she has been moved to Childrens Hospital where she will be for the next couple weeks or so. I really do not want to get into the whats and whys, I just wanted everyone to keep her in there thoughts.
I will talk to everyone later and let you know how she is doing.
Thanks

I really didn't break down, just a loose bolt on the starter ground, it would have started if I would have noticed it earlier. So much for my mechanical skills, oh yeah, thanks for the pull start BR>

I wonder if MB would be up for a trip to Darrington tomorrow? I might have to toddle down to Cyclebarn today and pickup some grips, so maybe I will ask him. I am certain I have space on a flatbed trailer of some kind. What about RG or TP? Anyone else up for a little Sunday morning riding?

Just got back from the Naches Trail Ride, Rod, his friend Rod and myself rode the entire trail (well, we didn't do the hard hill climb at the start, Rod wanted to, I didn't, too scared). It was a great ride, perfect weather, alittle mud, water and some dust. Saw some hunters, (no shots fired), a few other quads and some dirtbikes. Thanks to Rod for picking me up and hauling me out there. The Trail closes in one month, if anybody wants to make one more trip out there, let us know

I got mud underneath my Yamaha stickers on the tank, they wouldn't stick any longer, blew them off, think I'll get some Honda stickers to replace them, nobody will know the difference, right?

Fun ride today.
Yeah, next time we park down at the bottom by the start of the hard stuff. Too tired after riding 30 miles to head down the hard part and back up. Had a late lunch at the truck instead.
A new Honda 450R needs a new bumper and the plastic doesn't break when it turns turtle.
My friend actually did very good for his first trail ride on a sporty. No sense in starting him off on the easy trails.
Pefect day for riding, not hot, not cold and clear skies and sunshine all day! A little dusty in places but tolerable.
We got off and walked in to the cabin at Government Meadow. Neat place, to bad you have to leave the quads at the trail a good 200 yards away, would be a great place to spend the night.
Wood stove and sleeping loft. Very convenient outhouse too!

Wrong color!
Rod had a Honda sticker peeling off at the carwash. I peeled the tire pressure sticker off for him. I told him he didn't need it!

FYI....................
Passing the word! This was sent to me by Arlene Brooks, WA State Director of the PNW4WDA. Not sure of any details yet.
A seasonal closure has been imposed for the Evans Creek ORV area from November 1 through May 15th. 2007.
This directive is pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50; all two, three and four wheeled motorized vehicles are prohibited from use on designated "TRAILS".
"ROADS" are still open in the area.
Violation of these prohibitions are punishable by a fine of not more than $5000 or imprisonment for not more than six months or both. (Title 16 USC Section 551 - this order rescinds and supersedes Forest Order No. 06-05-20-92-003)

That's the worst time to go up there for sporties anyway, but still sucks, anyway you look at it. I wouldn't be suprised if all trails in Washington eventually do seasonal closures.

Randy, I still have to get my Raptor out after I added my new parts
I went with the Bub s/o, K&N and adaptor, and the Dobeck, I heard it fits and think I will order the FMF headpipe.
I like to go with things out of the ordinary, so I hope this combo will work for me, not trying to break any speed records, just having fun on a great all-around Quad

I'm sure it will haul the mail, these 700R's are torque monsters and seem to respond real well to mods. If you have any problems getting the dobeck dialed in PM me and I can steer you to people that run them and can help you with the settings for low mid and high.

The Place at ten. Sounds like a plan. Remind me to order the small biscuits and gravy will you?
Anyone else want to join the crippled, lame, lazy and crazy crew? That's tomorrow, Wednesday, at "The Place" restaurant on Mud Bay Road.
Gotta take SWMBO and D-in-L shopping and out to lunch. Pray for me.

A rather wise person told me years ago that anyone that depended on the Government to support them in their old age was very likely to spend some cold, dark winters. I have a bad feeling he was right. Careful financial management when you are young is, IMO, vital.

Good Morning PSAR!
Jayna, thanks for letting me know about Pacific Powers. They had exactly what i needed.
Well i went to Kettle Falls (north of spokane and 20 miles from the canadian border) on Saturday. Left my house at 5:15 am and got there about 12:30. Picked up my parents meating cutting saw, grinder, cuber, and some other small accessories. Shot my gun 2 times to see if my shoulder would hurt and to make sure my scope was still sighted in. It didn't hurt my shoulder, but felt kinda weird as the end of my shoulder is now rolled forward. Took awhile to get the gun comfortable in the "pocket". I left Kettle Falls, at 6:30 and got home at 1 am. That was ALOT of driving for one day. I put 650 miles on my truck in one day. I drove over hwy 2 for a different scenarie. I past alot of hunters as well. I had to laugh to myself acouple of times. I went through a little town called Rice on hwy 25 and i came over a hill and here is two doe's and a buck crossing the road. Next 5 cars i passed where hunters. I'm glad i don't have to go back to Kettle falls for a long time! My uncle is building a shop/apartment up on top of a hill. His view is amazing!
Hope everyone had a good weekend. So did anyone get a deer this weekend?

Good Morning PSAR img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>Well we had a good time camping/riding the weather was great Sat. & rainy Sat. night & Sun. but was not a big deal, it did get chilly but it was nice still!! that's why they put heaters in motorhomes & trees for firewood img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">
I actually RODE this time haha, not Sun. but went for awhile on SAt. woke up SAt. morning feeling like poop, sore throat, runny nose cough BLAHHH but I took medicine & was riding anyway haha they are dozing my favorite trail up there but they are supposedly putting in some camp spots, Bobby talked to the owner of it I guess, didn't mind if we rode there but if seen anything funky please let him know!! He had some panels stolen off a excavator leaving it overnight up there.
I will have some pics up later on got some decent ones of Bobby & Kerri's new pet it's a PIG img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0"> YES I'M SERIOUS A PIG LMFAO they wanted to outdo us heeheeheeBR>
OH yeah I had one little oil leak left on my right side cover BUT we found it & fixed it img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> now the motor has NOOOOOOOOOO oil leaks what so ever YIPPEEEE it was something silly too I'll blame that on Ron hahaha so she's back to running strong, still needs a 6th gear img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0"> i had to downshift on one part to see if i REALLY was in 5th haha
So on our way home our wipers started making a wierd noise them BAM they up & quit working dang it!! Good thing Ron can see thru a wet windshield haha said it brought back memories of boat racing but not going fast enough LOL anyway then things started acting wierd I said I bet it's the alternator & sure enough we got home he unloaded the quads & trailer & when he went to start it it was dead Dang ANOTHER alternator down in a months time 1st the Chevy now the bus!! OH well at least I think it's MUCH cheaper than the chevy one at least hte old bus was!! So we will get that fixed up this weekend then probably start winterizing it, we will be driving our old motorhome to the races this winter!!
CHEECH you can do your brake set up on your mini, we did it to our LEM, you use a go kart hydro set up & it'll stop on a dime img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> takes a little modifying but works, also have you checked online for a set up?? TRy HERE this is the guy we get our mini stuff from, he's a GRET guy his name is Ed seems like he or knows someone that sells brake kits!! Hope this helps some

Thanxs mamma, I will see what they have, also I met a guy at Oakwood who runs extreme mini racing and he might have something. My first thought and I will look into is that the Kymco 90 has rear disc and with the 50 being almost the same I just might be able to use the setup from a 90.

Cool there is also THIS forum you can check out they have a Kymco section just for Kymco owners Ed is also on there!!! You would think you could use the 90 set up!! Good Luck BTW what are you asking for the KGB???? img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

oh and when we talked to them on the phone they said it runs great. but when we picked it up they said they tried to start it and it wouldnt start. but hubbie got on it, it started right up lol

Highway 101 is Exit 104 and those of us who live on the mainland think that it is a couple of miles past Rock Candy. You islanders just don't understand real distances.hr>
LMAO.. I said Highway 101. bear said exit 104.. I just know roads not exit numbers. and hell what is it. 15 miles past rock candy? When you from the sticks a couple miles is like 20 cuz thats how far you have to go to get to the grocery store or a resturaunt or whatever. Its just normal driving distance.. so it dont seem far

Is your hubby mechanically inclined????? IF SO then go get a manual on the bike, it will be MUCH cheaper to fix it yourself IF YOUR ABLE & understand motor/gear stuff!! NOt sure what your bike is doing but kinda maybe might be a shift fork?????? Don't quote me on this haha as I am no mechanic!! If you get a book though you should be able to do this yourself & save all them dealer costs!! WE found out the hard way years ago before we began doing our own work, lost a top end to a bike shop cuz they wanted some ridicouls amount of $$ to fix it we said screw it now we wish we would of just done it ourselves cuz we still have the little bike but no top end could probably find one cheap on Ebay or somthing now though!!
Good Luck!! I can email your predicament to my brother & he may know what it's doing!! I will let you know!!
Posted by: tnemaloney
well the hubbie could figure it out with the book but he dont like doing it anymore lol i guess cause hes got attitude when things do go right hahaha
Posted by: tnemaloney
and as for me i know nuttin about nuttin lol i can barley pull start mine when its cold. id be SOL if i didnt have the hubbie. well thats what i claim anyway.

Straddleline OHV Park is only 6 miles past Rock Candy Road. In my book it qualifies as a "couple" of miles.

With all the time and money I got into it about $20,000(lol)
No, I been having some starting issue's, so I checked the valves and they were tighter then .........(insert Ur line here)
Gonna clean and the check the bowl on the Eddy carb, charge the battery, and change the oil and if it fires up and runs pretty, then I will probably take it to Oakwood with for sale $3500 obo, extra parts included.
Here is a list of what it has on it and extra:
434 Athena, with DRZ base gasket, Stainless valves, DRZ valve springs, port & polish, EBC Dirt Digger clutch, 2-Edelbrock carbs, White Brothers full exhaust, adjustable CDI
Elka tripple rates with rezzies(should be rebuilt soon), JD Performance +2 a-arms(should have bushings replaced soon), Elka double rate rear with remote rezzie, Durablue2+2 axle
Trail tech X-bars and adaptor, EZ-pull clutch, Honda thumb throttle, Alba nerfs, race trimmed plactics
18in Kenda MX rears, 20in razr fronts, could include well used american racers

Back to work today and it was all good.
Went down to Reedsport this weekend to see Grandma off. Dad had reserved us a room at the Best Western, it was the "Spa Suite" - very nice!
Then we are at breakfast Saturday morning and who do we see? Big D and his buddy! WoW! What a surprise!
I saw grandma off with smiles, tears, and toasts. The number of people that loved her was amazing. True to the tradition of an Irish wake, we started around 10:30 and ate and drank our way through the grief........I was in bed early that night!

A couple years ago we stayed in Spa Suite at the Best Western, 1st floor, corner suite. That's the February that 2mnyToyz earned his nickname "Skippy". Sandbomber, Quad4Fun and KingoftheRaptor were all staying at the same motel.
