U didn't tell me U wanted to climb? Did I show U my spikes that grow out of my feet, Like a Cat Baby!
Also we do have apprenticeships that U don't have to climb, Unfortunatly they just tested for the new classes, but I can get U going in the right direction before next time. They are Cablesplicers(downtown) and Constructors(Sub stations).
It is a good thing that I am not one of those typical LINEMAN who question their masculinity cause TV/Phone are referred to as 12' foot ladder jockey's, But seeing that U are ONE AWSOME WOMAN and culd probably kick my arse, U can be a Lineman in my books and we can work on that climbing late winter ealy spring if needed.
That would be AWESOME! I could use all the prep I can get. If I get the climbing certification it will open my options up quite a bit. I would also love to look into the opportunity to change utility companies. Fiber is getting big, and my resume has the right background to stay current with where Verizon is going, but it never hurts to expand my options. Not too big. Not much bigger than I can get my arms around. Probably 40' tall for the bigger one. They are in a pretty open accessible area of the property. I just want to drop the ones in the way of my pasture and that I think are dead. I like having the trees in my yard, just want a selective few down.

I was out of town for a few days and now my dog and friend of 15 years is in the process of dieing. I spent today trying to find a vet who could euthanize my dog tomorrow. I haven't been able to watch the supporting membership upgrades as close as we normally do even though we did ship out his cap and stickers today. Actually, we shipped out about 40 of them and only about 3 haven't had their account in the forum upgraded yet (which we will do on Friday).
I have no problem with someone complaining if we're a little behind on processing the upgrades. We appreciate their support and if we get behind on upgrading they have a right to complain.
But your post is shamefully immature and reflects badly on you not on us. You should be ashamed of yourself..

How about you go on your Bulliton board at work and pin up a letter saying your boss is a worthless pile of sheep chit or something and see how long it stays up.. I am calm. I don't think anyone here has really seen me not calm. Just because I can articulate an opinion doesn't mean I am not calm. And you're right, MB screwed up. I still think that is silly. My objection was to banning his wife and kids. The kids do come on here and participate.

I was out of town for a few days and now my dog and friend of 15 years is in the process of dieing. I spent today trying to find a vet who could euthanize my dog tomorrow. I haven't been able to watch the supporting membership upgrades as close as we normally do even though we did ship out his cap and stickers today. Actually, we shipped out about 40 of them and only about 3 haven't had their account in the forum upgraded yet (which we will do on Friday).
I have no problem with someone complaining if we're a little behind on processing the upgrades. We appreciate their support and if we get behind on upgrading they have a right to complain.

If she was exhibiting bad behavior, then maybe he needs to know it. And raptory posting crap about me in the spinners is pretty low too. Until this post, I hadn't posted about him at all. Frankly, he isn't worth my time to worry about.
I stated a generalized reason why I chose to not pay the membership. It has NOTHING to do with the advertising policy here, it is the moderator attitude I took offense to that led me to make that choice. I had dropped it back then, but I still won't pay the membership. I fully understand what drives this site. That's why I have chosen to utilize my most powerful weapon by not monetarily supporting something I took issue with. So far, I don't see anything to change my mind.
Yes, I still use this forum for free. So do many others. If you think everyone should have to pay to participate, change how it works. If I thought becoming a paying member would provide me with any more respect and consideration than I see now, I might consider it. So far, I am just not inclined to support the behavior.

Common sense and good manners would dictate, at least where I was raised, that using a persons name on the forum would be avoided. It would also seem that if a chastising was called for it would be done in private rather than on the board.
Your analogy is somewhat over the top but I understand what you are driving at. If I were to invite anyone and everyone into my "house", which is what has been done here, I would expect to have problems from time to time. In this case where an attempt is being made to show a profit the rules change somewhat. I understand, now, the reason for MB being sat in the corner or banned. What I still do not understand are the two, and in my opinion best left to a PM, sentences in Daves message that brought this to a boil. Very poor management practice of a business venture in this one instance.
All that being said I must also say how much I appreciate ATV Connection. The site is easy to navigate and seems to have few problems which is much appreciated by those of us who are not that interested in knowing all about computers. This small glitch today will pass shortly when all that have gotten involved have had their say and lessons will have been learned. Hopefully a more knowledgeable and tolerant community will be the result.

Surprisingly enough some kids will thrive in an algebra class when they have had problems with basic math. Seems the abstract thought that is required in algebra helps explain the basics. You might consider a tutor which are often available at very little or no cost in many communities. Check with the school district or community based groups. Been thru some of this with kids we had at home.

Were talking just algebra right? Not geometry or nothin? X+2=5 type crap.. when you help her. just read the book. and when she solves problems have her draw pictures and show all her work. Story problems / alebra are best done by mapping them out.. even if you can solve the problem in your head. when learnin ALWAYs show your work. we didnt get credit for the problem if we didnt show our work.

I come from math family in a sense. My aunt is a professor aswell once you get the basics down everything builds from that. you do have to show your work and it will click. ya'll live so far away.. i used to tutor just this very thing.

Do you know that this was a big issue in the spinzone long ago? Someone thought others were getting preferential treatment, which was BS, IMO. No one posted "crap" about you to us spinners, and to generalize us as a group that is less then upstanding is unfair.

They did that chit to me in school too. I still can't do it. I can tell you the answer but i have a hard time explaining how i got it. I actually had one teacher that accused me of cheating because i couldn't show my work. My parents asked me a few questions relized I knew all the answers. They got involved and the teacher apologized and gave me quiz's and test's verbaly for the next quarter smoked em all and I was transfered to Trig for the next semester Math is easy if I do it in my head.

I caught one of my math teachers with another math teacher. After that I didnt have to do much to get a good grade in math in HS. I knew that job selling Carnation Malts at the Stanford football games would pay off eventually. I use trig on a daily basis too.

Summers off paid would be nice. Could work construction of something on the side in summer.
I thought about it too, but it you gotta constantly be adding more schooling to all the school you have had.

Hello to all in the PSAR.
I had seen some things that had spilled over into the spinzone that caused me to wonder just what was going on here that was so controversial. Turns out, I see that amazingly enough, people were getting their feelings stung a bit, and questions as to preferential treatment of Supporting Members was going on. Perhaps my own personal experience would put some things into perspective....
Couple of years back, under another screen name, I was an occasional poster, not the regular I became since my "transformation to TPR" One of the companies my family operates was an advertiser here as well, which made my ability to post certian things, much easier. Then a situation arose with Dave and the company and a difference of opinion arose that caused alot of tension between the two sides with me in the middle.
I stood up for what I thought was right, and pushed every button, even calling out Dave in the process at which point Raptory pulled me aside to warn me that I was on thin ice. As one would expect, I got banned, and rightfully so. I was shown no special treatment because I had paid, I broke the rules and was banned.
Soon after, I returned as The Phantom Rider...TPR. They knew it was me, but I had made such an about face, and steered clear of the controversy that got me banned, that I eventually got myself back into their good graces. It takes time and dedication, and a sincere interest in posting here to accomplish that, but I was able to do so against greater odds than most anyone else ever banned from here. Matter of fact, they even gave me my old screen name back if I wanted, and I have cultivated a good relationship with most moderators, and feel that they appreciate my ability to put the past behind and move forward with positive, funny and sometimes even risque contributions to these forums.
Also, we all can, have and will be targets for ridicule, opinion or even sympathy and happiness if we put our personal side out for the public to view. Not every situation will be embraced, nor chastised, but those are what is to be expected in a public format. So if LadyJay says somthing that doesn't work out in her favor, she would need to toughen up a bit, for no one forced her to divulge that aspect of her life. If OFC lays out his current legal situation, he realizes that there will be some negativity, and no one knows better than him what could have been done to have avoided his problem with the law. I personally feel that his situation was a bit shady, and perhaps an abuse of power, but he knows that all this would have been avoided, had he not had a couple of beers, and he knows that.

Just a note on the Christmas party... If wingdude want's to host again, that would be awesome! You Rock!
I checked with the campground we belong to in LaConner. It would be $22 a night for camping spots for those that want to get a spot for the night. The place has a dinning hall with a kitchen, BBQ fire pit (outside), indoor pool, 2 hot tubs, pool table and ping pong table... Gives something for the kids to do instead of watching the boring adults... however, the kids do need an adult present.
Use of the dinning hall is part of our membership, so there's no charge. To get a camping spot, you'll need to register as a guest of ours. Sites accommodate up to a 40' RV with a 30 amp service.
LaConner is definately out of the way for most, just throwing out an idea. Discuss it.. vote... let me know.

BTW, I didn't mess up the carb spring, I pulled the needle out for inspection, since it was right there, and in the process I broke a tab off the throttle valve. hr>
