lol i have a kick me dog but it is not just chihuahuas that i have..... i only have 2 of those i got a rescue lab mix.... an old chow mix.... and a huge akita... my smallest is 2 1/2 lbs and my biggest is 140lbs

I met most everyone here in the forum. There is a diverse group here of all riding levels. Somebody is usually riding somewhere. Someone posts where and when and you show up if you want to join the ride. All are welcome. It's a group one way or another. Faster riders take off first and wait for those who like to go slower to catchup at regulalr intervals. Never seems to be a problem.

tne: Welcome to the forum, meant to say HI last night but missed it somehow. Watch out for the spin zone, I wander over there from time to time mostly to lurk. Can become habit forming and mind numbing. To give you some idea, OFC fits right in! What kind of riding do you and yours prefer? What kind of equipment do you have. Some of us older dudes have sort of a turtle patrol. Couple of us, maybe more if RR and Chuck show up, are going tomorrow to Middle Waddel. Meeting at the Farm Boy restaurant west side of exit 95 off I-5 at 10:00 AM. Gonna be a slow ride on a not too difficult trail.
Sad news about Kyle Watkins. Hope the medicos are able to do great things for him. Always seems so much worse when a young person has problems.
All you dune bound folks have a good time and be careful, too many injuries happening.

Back from seeing SWMBO off to work. Sounds like you are set up for fun as a family. I suppose you ride mostly on weekends with the kids in school and work. We "Turtle Patrol" types tend to ride during the week when the trails are less congested. Usually see very few other riders out and about.
I tend to pack way more stuff with me than is really required for rides in this area, I use the quad on our farm in Eastern Washington a lot and have the stuff in the box for when I am over there. Sometimes comes in handy here but very seldom. Bear4570 also carries some stuff with him and we ride together quite often lately so anything happens we have it covered.
You will find the folks on this forum to be very friendly and accepting of new members that come along. I have had the chance to ride with some of them and have always had a good time even when they had to wait at crossroads for the old guy to catch up. It's nice to ride with people you know are going to watch out for you and be sure everyone is accounted for and having fun.
Look forward to meeting you and your tribe, from what I have read here the practice is to ride year round so maybe a few wet or snow rides later this year.

I used the carpool lane allot when i had mud dog in the truck and i would have used that as my defense.. Carpool should only bee for 2 or more LISCENSED DRIVERS!!! Tough chit mommy your kid don't pay taxes on that lane anymore than my dog does so suck it.

Yup, babies qualify for carpool head count. What gets me is the no trailers and nothing over 10,000 weight rating. This means any pickup licensed for 12,000 can't use that lane. I agree with both of you. I still travel in the carpool lane if there are 2 in my rig. Trailer or not. I have been pulled over once for drivig in the left lane with an empty horsetrailer and I was passing the lane on the right of me. I didn't get ticketed, but if you refuse to get to the right lane except to pass and are holding up traffic, you should be ticketed no matter what you drive. They don't enforce that rule properly and IMO that's a great deal of the reason we have such crappy traffic problems. Oregon traffic seems to flow just fine on a 2 lane freeway because people GET OVER and let others pass. img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0">BR>OK, rant over.

Just because the RV wasnt in the collision the statistics don't say how many Unqualified persons at the wheel of one of the missles of death have caused someone else to get in a terrible accident in an attempt to get outta the way.. The roads are a skerry place.. people eatin cereal and reading a book and smokin a cig and talkin on the cellphone.. too much multitaskin while driving goin on. and i drive down the road and watch peoples heads and eyes in their vehicles.. they never move.. they are lik zombies stairing at the bumber in front of them.. not down the road and keepin a periferal look out for an out should a hairy situation arrise or for someones blinker nicely asking to change a lane.. Wouldn't it be fun if paintball was legal? We could color code it according to offense. Red for cutting people off, Green for tailgaiting, purple for failure to merge properly, etc. Then we would at least know what to look for from the doorknobs.

I can ride Friday. Thursday is still iffy at this point.
The only 250 I know of with IRS in the rear and with a front locker is no longer made in favor of a non-locker front axle version. The Arctic Cats from about 1998 until 2002 (I think it was 2002) had the locker in addition to the 4X4 version of my 2X4 250. But AC dropped the model with the locker front axle in favor of a non-locker in 2003 and dropped the 250 IRS model totally after the 2005 model year. A real stupid move prompted my doing what the rest were doing rather than produce a better produce the worked a whole lot better than the others. They also had a 300 version. The 4X4 250 and 300 also had, in addition to High and Low Range, a Super Low Range that was like having an old Dodge Powerwagon in low range. About 1 mph in super low in first gear was max speed.

Evening PSAR!!! Well I am all caught up on here, and I am packed up are ready to go tomarrow! The invite is still open to anyone that wants to go! If you have never been there it is about 15 - 20 miles from Enumclaw on the NW side of Mount Rainer. The trails are from easy to moderate. If you do come you will need a North West Forest Service Pass, 5 smackers at the cheveron in Wilkinson on the way there
