Ohh.. so you recomend inspecting your fuel containers for wear? I see.. this could be a good idea hr>
I have been wondering about using a portable boat tank as an auxiliary fuel tank on a quad. Since they come in a range of capacities and are specifically built to withstand vibration and shock loads it seems to me they would be ideal for this use. The thickness of the plastic in the tanks I have on our boat is considerably thicker than that in the fuel containers from Wal-Mart or Schuck's. Anyone have any experience using these as fuel carriers on quads?

Don't know as how I would be comfortable with having an open tank and the potential for sparking from a switch or plug in system to turn the pump on/off. Non-arcing equipment is available but just how complicated does a person want to make this?

I took a new assignment at work a couple weeks ago... Holy chit is it intense dealing with certifying and delivery of airplanes.
Tonight I have to send an e-mail to about 40 people to make sure they arrange their coming work week such that they're available at a moment's notice. Meanwhile, I'll be preparing to take Thursday and Friday off... Man I don't like doing that, but it's a planned vacation. It looks like we'll be turning up the heat on O.T. for the next few months as well. Hopefully I can just work it on the weekday so I can make it to the remaining drags in Oregon for the year.

Jakie Boy doesn't get out of school till 11:30 so that puts us getting on I-5 and Fife around noon. If U want we could convoy, but remember my shaggy old Beve don't go much faster than 68.

I know I can move in a day if I have to... and they have a bigger trailer than I do to pack more stuff. I swear, I won't break him too bad. I will even try to bring him and his quad back in one piece.
Well, him anyway. I can't guarantee the quad if he's riding it.

I cracked the frame on my Z400!!! Two weeks ago I had a pretty bad crash doin a hill climb in Cle Elum. After the crash I was looking at the frame and I noticed 2 big cracks just above the front shock mounts. The cracks went almost all the way around the tubing. I just bought a 04 DVX frame with a Bare Performance Gusset kit and a fresh high Gloss Powder coat. Transferring everything over to the new frame is a TON OF WORK!! I finally finished today. Tomorrow im gonna try those hill climbs again. A warning to all Z owners watch by your front shock mounts.

No joke it's a lot of work. I didn't break my frame, but I finally decided to quit testing my luck and get it gusseted last winter. It's a well known problem with the '03 frame.
At least you had another frame to transfer directly over to. I took mine apart, gusseted it, then sent it out for powder coating(and sent the motor out for some work-since it was already out of the frame) Had to remember how to put it back together after a month of having it completely torn to pieces. It was good experience. I know my quad top to bottom now.

That's a long trip for a guy on a Ute I had a good time at florance but I am still not a sand fan yet. I would much rather be on the trails where I can actually perform well. The dunes is all about the machine and I don't have the right one.

Hmmm, I happen to have an extra sandworthy machine, they are both traveling down with me to play next weekend and I can only ride one at a time. So no excuse there.

No but soon, and yes it comes with 17HP stock. Without a dyno I am really just guessing. It is prpaply closer to 10-15 HP Extra. But I can whoolie a 600lb quad now

A Blonds 1st Job.................BR>
There is a factory in Northern Minnesota which makes the Tickle Me Elmo
toys. The toy laughs when you tickle it under the arms.
Well, Lena is hired at The Tickle Me Elmo factory and she reports for her
first day promptly at 8:00 AM.
The next day at 8:45 AM there is a knock at the Personnel Manager's door.
The Foreman throws open the door and begins to rant about the new employee.
He complains that she is incredibly slow and the whole line is backing up,
putting the entire production line behind schedule.
The Personnel Manager decides he should see this for himself, so the 2 men
march down to the factory floor.
When they get there the line is so backed up that there are Tickle Me
Elmo's all over the factory floor and they're really beginning to pile up.
At the end of the line stands Lena surrounded by mountains of Tickle Me
Elmo's. She has a roll of plush red fabric and a huge bag of small marbles.
The 2 men watch in amazement as she cuts a little piece of fabric, wraps it
around two marbles and begins to carefully sew the little package between
Elmo's legs.
The Personnel Manager bursts into laughter.
After several minutes of hysterics he pulls himself together and approaches
Lena.
"I'm sorry," he says to her, barely able to keep a straight face, "but I
think you misunderstood the instructions I gave you yesterday..."
"Your job is to give Elmo two test tickles.

There was a guy passing out flyers at Evans creek today I scaned it and put it in my pics on here. So once it is approved you can take a look I think it may be mostly Jeep's and trucks but may be worth checking out

Evening PSAR! It was a good ride today. The dust was actually not to bad up there. Some of the best riding conditions since spring. Wild and I both manage to make it back to te truck without dumping a quad too!

My drainfield is 44 yrs old, still holding up, someday I'm sure, it'll crap out. They're talking about hooking our area to sewer, big bucks and a huge mess, but then, so is a new drainfield, guess it's gonna cost me big one way or the other.
Don't be in a hugh rush to condemn that drain field, one of the ones we did last summer was put in in 1916 when my Grandfather built the house. Had no gravel under the clay tiles and was working fine but we needed the area to put up a building.

Had both, no problems with them. Really no preference/difference as far as I'm concerned.
Edit: Another thought on this. Find a dealer that has been in business for awhile and get references. Improperly applied both brands will fail in short order. For a few bucks more you can have some other parts sprayed at the same time. At least they only charged us an extra $100.00 to spray the inside of a small stubble beater.

My daughter got Line-X in her truck a couple of years ago. It had held up very well and she is a bunch rougher on her truck bed than you are Happa. She has had to have 2 minor repairs done in the last 6 months, but then I helped her abuse it to cause those.

Door dings: Has anyone had a paintless door ding repaired? My truck grew a dent at work yesterday, but the guy owned up to it. I was just wondering how well those dent destroyer places work.

****Oh yeah, I got NOresponse to my offer to host a PSAR and friends BBQ on Saturday August 26th. I took a vacation day and don't have to work.
Big yard, Lots of parking(or camping?)good sized house, big back deck with a bbq and if anyone wants, I can fire up the hottub. couple options and locations for a campfire.
I can certainly provide hotdogs, hamburgers, buns etc if we make a potluck.
Let me know what you all think. If not, I can always go camping. It's all good!

I have only seen one guy that has done a paintless dent repair to my satisfaction (that's not to say there are no others out there)
the rest looked to me like they were ready to grind the highs, fill the lows prime sand & paint.

Wow!!!!!
Val and I really enjoyed watching his shows, really sad, too bad.
Steve Irwin, the hugely popular Australian television personality and environmentalist known as the "Crocodile Hunter," was killed Monday by a stingray while filming an underwater documentary on the Great Barrier Reef. He was 44.

Have fun today.
3 days to Coos. Have an empty quad spot in the trailer and seat in the truck leaving Thursday Morning. I am even willing to make the dog ride in the trailer.
Cheech, I am going to try to sneak away from work early and hope they don't see the rig leaving. So thanks for the offer of caravan, but I haven't set my schedule yet.

Dunno. If you get all your future chores done to cover the weekend, will she miss you? You could always throw everything back in the shed and say you have to spend all weekend out there cleaning it and you'll order in pizza. Yeah, that'll work.

No Blaster wheels, mainly construction stuff. How many brushed nickle hand rail brackets do you want? How about some gold colored bomber hinges? Door knob locksets? Light switches and outlets?

Saw Rancher's question a few days ago.
It's a diameter thing. I believe the Clark fuel tanks are the aftermarker higher capacity ones, but not sure. I just searched my machine profile and they sent me the correct ones for both my quads. If all else fails, RMATV has great customer service. If you give them a call they can tell you for sure.
