I was under the impression it was about raping the enviorment as fast as they can and money for the corporate wheels and shareholders, not logers (of which there are almost none anymore). Most jobs in logging are long gone, along with most mill jobs too as they ship whole trees overseas. So I guess nobody makes any money to support their families from ATVs, only logs?

No, I won't be making the trip to Grays harbor, I'm conserving my funds for Dune fest. The mini sprint is my future son in law, he races at Deming speedway 1200CCcc kawi with EFI & a Power Commander IIIr with a custom Methanol mapHe ran 2nd from deep in the field at clay cup last year.
I ran Sportsman Sprints and then full on Sprintcars. I haven't turned a lap since 2003.

They were very accomodating, but it still cost me 900 bones, and I didn't get it back 'till the day we left. 2 things: Believe everybody that says the '01 tranny is crap, and wear a kidney belt when you ride a 250EX all week around dunes. BTW, I was putt-putting up the easy side of a dune in 2nd gear, talking to my buddy's daughter who was riding alongside of me, and it just suddenly locked up. All the shift dogs were broken off of 2nd gear.
You should have just bought a new quad, you would have been riding the same day!hr>
Believe me, it was discussed at length with the wife, but alas, she always has the final word, and it wasn't "Yes"!
I can survive another year on the ol' Raptor, I think?

We made it back from the farm, lots of traffic once we got this side of North Bend. Real crazies out there. Saw three unmarked WSP cars with cars pulled over between E-burg and Issaquah.
Bear, any info on the ride Thursday? Man am I ready for some fun time. Cattle drive this morning but that don't count as fun.

Good morning PSAR! Painted the dining room and living room yesterday - my mom came over in the morning and we got it painted, took care of the little darlings, took pizza to Josh and the boys at his work, got everything cleaned up, and dinner going by the time he got home! I was pooped! We had painted the dining room ceiling and primed the living room ceiling the week before, so it went fairly fast, but still, it was a lot of work. It's so light, bright and clean though!
Next is to install the new french door and the floors. I have the old carpeting gone of course - Nicole helped me roll it up and get it to the truck and one of the guys who worked at the dump helped me dispose of it.
Plus I've got to get some lesson planning done and set up the new classroom. 5 different rooms in 5 years - I'm getting really tired of setting up a new space every year. On the bright side, my new tables have chemical resistant tops (finally!) and are beautiful BR>

Well, things have taken a turn for the worse around here. Wife got called in to work 8 hours early so will be doing a double shift tonight. Seems a nurse that was denied two extra days off due to staffing problems has decided to be "sick" for a couple of days. What it boils down to is SWMBO will be working 44 hours now thru Saturday. Also means I will be driving her as I don't want her driving when she is tired out. No rides this week.
Bear, gotta cancel again. Really sorry but can't be helped. I guess I'll just hang around this site and if a ride comes up that I can make I'll join in. Hasn't worked to try to plan anything thats for sure.
Did manage to get the quad loaded in the little pickup and all ready to go. I may just take the quad for a short spin in the back of the pickup to see what it's like to get it out of the yard.
Oh well, really should take the Corgi to visit some folks tomorrow anyway.

Mike, it's ok. I have 4 others going tomorrow besides myself. Anybody else interested just show up at about 10 AM at the Waddell Creek day ride parking area in the AM. Chuck and I are having breakfast at Denny's in Shelton at just after 8 AM.

It is twin piston. The 400 is 3 mounting bolts(I know that for sure). I think the are are 3 also, but not positive.

2000 Yammy Kodiak 400 4x4 GREAT quad, just don't ride it like the sporties too much now, & I hate to see it sit here & rot like it's been doing for the last year & 1/2 We replaced the water pump but it does need to be taken back apart cuz it didn't seal??????? IDK something about the gasket or sompin' not a hard thing to fix nobody here has anymore ambition MY MECHANICS SUCK!!!!! there is a pic of it on myspace pics I can't seem to be able to get a link up right now!!

Afternoon PSAR!!! The Wife and I will be camping at Alder Lake this weekend if anybody feels frisky and would like to give Elbe Hills a shot. The campground is about 10 miles from the trail head. We would like to camp right at the trailhead (there are some good spots there) but the fire ban has me running for a designated campground We are going to head up Saturday morning and Ride Saturday and Sunday and head back home on Monday morning unless I can convince her to go for a ride Monday too!!! Any the invite is open

Rode out of Waddell Creek today. Went up to Capitol Peak and saw nothing as the fog hadn't burned off yet. The we came back down the Mt. Molly Porter trails and followed the #3 Mt. Molly trail. Holy sh!t fat man!!! I didn't know there were trails like that in Capitol Forest. Felt more like Evans Creek's worst nightmare than Capitol Forest and we were going down hill. Up would tear you a new one. Had one roll over, no damage or injury. But scared the crap out of me as I don't like to 73 year old guys roll theit 700+ pound quads onto their side (besides his wife would kill me if he got hurt).
