I dunno, I have never been there. Suggestions on where to meet that those of us newbies can easily find.

I won't have the trailer, just my White F250 with a yellow Z400 in it.

Jayna, if your coming from MT Vernon, just head east on college way untill you come to Big rock and at the fork in the road head SE on HWY 9 towards Big lake. You'll know your getting close when you pass a golf course on your left and come to a real sharp S curve, after you come out of the corner you will see Walker Valley RD on your left, follow that to the ORV area there is a main parking lot to your right after you come off the small bridge where you come in, that would be a good place to meet up for everyone. If my trail in is not blocked (they have been blocking all the small trails from the power lines) I might show up visit with you all and go for a short ride.

Bear is up for it and working on get some other old, slow and wise enough to know their limits, guys to ride too.

For those of you going to Walker Valley who are coming from the south (which is almost all of you) here are the directions.
Go north on I-5 to the Conway / Lake McMurray exit, about 5 miles south of Mt. Vernon. At the end of the ramp go right (east). Take this road all the way to Hiway 9 (stop sign) Turn left (north) on Hiway 9 and take it past the Lake Cavanaugh Road to the Walker Valley Rd on your right (Big Lake will be on your left). Turn right and take the Walker Valley road to the end to the staging area on your right.
Have fun everyone. I'll be getting the quads ready for the sand at Coos Bay next weekend so I'll miss this ride!

We have a warrent for the arrest of one OFC, anyone seeing this man is to contact the Cobb County Sherriffs Department. DO NOT try to apprehend him as he may be armed and darranged. Plus do not attempt to feed him as he may never leave. =]

I'm thinking thursday the 17th would be best and at this point either Waddell Creek or Rock Candy as a start point. The only other place open right now (the fire danger is so high that most places are closed or closing to recreation) is Tahuya and I just don't like the trails there.

So here's the rooster for the ride;

tencubed
Bear
Chuck (If he gets his grizzly fixed)

Add your name if you want to go.

It is alot quieter than his, option one in the manual is to remove the vortex insert but it also says it will put it up to 98 Decibals.

Not a feetwood but my parents friend used to have a jumping jack. You actually put the quads or whatever on top of the trailer / tent instead of in the front. Shortens it up a bit and makes it easier to haul / deal with Niether one are very big though.

Don't you have one of those generic versions of that rig you used at Easton in lieu of tent poles?

What is wrong with your quad??? If you can you should defiantly come out, I don't make it up north to often

Again anybody know the legal Decibel limit for Washington?

Posted by: MeIsCheech

Speaking of DUI's A Question or some info sharing with the rest of us CDL'rs. Our company is saying that as of June Washington State is saying that if we test over .04 BAC on our off time, that u could loose Ur CDL for good. A good shot of mouthwash and I just might be pushing that limit.

What a wooonnnderful way to end a day. My good buddy the Corgi Dog found something really "special" to roll in. Used a whole bottle of shampoo to get the stink off of him. Finally got the mutt and shower area dried off and cleaned up. Me for a bite of supper and off to bed. GN PSAR

I will ride out to the staging area and ride for a while if the weather is good. Breakfast doesn't sound like it's going to work for me as I don't want to drive down south and then backtrack back to home. I was thinking eating around here somewhere but the best breakfast places around here are in Sedro Woolley and that would be out of the way for the rest of you. The Denny's right off I-5 at the college way exit in MV isn't half bad if anyone's interested in meeting up there.

Well, I'm off to breakfast, and then the used quadcycle isle at Jorge's shop.

Posted by: Dazeys

I'll be there at the mian staging area at 10:00. I can keep us on the mild trails.
From Island crossing (exit 208) go east 3 miles to Arlington, at the light (hyw 9) go left 20 or so miles. Big lake bar and grill will be on your right, just past that is the Walker Valley Rd. Go up that untill you see Peter Burns Rd. on your right. Only about a mile to the main staging.

Looking forward to the ride tomorrow.

DM, wake up and get wrenching!!! Gotta ride!

I am serious, I know on most of your sporties the only thing that would do is make it easier to push the throttle. On mine with the CV type carb they are vacuum operated. The theory is by removing a few coils from the spring it takes less vacuum to open the float thereby getting better throttle response from an idle. It makes sense in theory. There are a few guys on the Utility / Honda threads that have done it and love it. I was just wondering if any of you have ever heard of it.

I haven't heard it improves throttle response, but that it's supposed to lighten up the throttle to help alleviate your thumb getting sore. Don't know how true it is. I say man up and deal with the pain. j/k Not very helpful, am I?

Holy Chiznit!!!! I just took a chance and cliped 10 coils. She will stand up on end from a dead stop now that made more differance than my jetting, air and exahust!!!!

Posted by: HappaRap

A person is disqualified from driving a commercial motor vehicle for a period of not less than one year if a report has been received by the department pursuant to RCW 46.20.308 or 46.25.120, or if the person has been convicted of a first violation, within this or any other jurisdiction, of:

Driving a commercial motor vehicle while the alcohol concentration in the person's system is 0.04 or more, or driving a noncommercial motor vehicle while the alcohol concentration in the person's system is 0.08 or more.

I understand the law now, I thought 0.04 pertained to 100% of your off duty time, I stand corrected.

He's talking about the spring on the vacuum diaphram in the Constant Velocity carbs on the utes. I think they are deluding them selves into thinking it helps throttle response. Unless some one showed me time slips from a drag strip of before and after I do not buy it. Seat of the pants feel is the biggest liar there is for true preformance increases.

<FONT face=Arial size=2>I went over and checked out what Rancher did. Wow what a difference! The wifes quad would get about 2 inches off the ground stock. Clip 8 coils off the carb spring. And now that bad boy/girl(whatever Angie calls it) it'll get the front end about 3-4 feet in the air. Then Rancher and I dragged down the street. I got the jump but stayed pretty even up the hill. Even with the intake, exhaust, and jet kit. I'd say that the spring was the biggest performance gain. JMHO!!!</FONT>

I turned my phone back on after I left yesterday. Is it the rubber buttons for the body panels? kind of a 1/2" tall peg with a head on it, just to the rear of the tank?

Yes, the rubber buttons for the body panels.
Two places on the frame, one just below the tank towards the front, the other towards the rear of the tank. We got them ordered.

Drinking Rockstar at 5:52, on a Sunday morning, should be against the law.

We were riding these funny 4 wheeled things called quads at Walker Valley! It was a good ride. It was Me, Wild, Jayna, Happa, MB, TP, RR27, the midget my wife and a few others that are not on the thread. Wild bent the tie rod on the 450 but we worked some ghetto engineering with a stick and a nylon strap the worked surprisingly well Traffic was hell coming back down though it took us 3.5 hrs. Thanks for the good times everybody that went PSAR is full of good peeps

Posted by: maggiesboy

good ride in Walker today.... not too much carnage. Wild learned some trail repair from TP

Well hope you WV riders had a good time, SORRY we didn't make it I was gonna call someone but was sleeping We worked on the 400 all damn day yesterday then we came to find out that the cam chain tensioner is TOAST so I ordered one up that's what caused the chain to come off before we think so it'll be back to good soon!!! By the time I get things squared away w/ it riding season will be OVER

Ron took me on my 1st trip to Ikea YIPPPEEEE just didn't have enough time though hahaha that's not what HE'S thinking img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Spent about 3 hrs there w/ eating & all he INSISTED on taking his little HOnda car now I know why LOL if we would of had the truck I owuld of spent ALOT more haha guess he was thinking there but I ended up re-doing my living room "Retro" style the colors are black, red, white it's pretty cool, got a new Futon, chairs, footstools & a new recliner/swivel rocker VERY comfy!! So that pretty much took up our weeknd & kept my mind off of riding haha

WOW........

All I can say is WOW..............img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> I love the sand img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>
As it's way late, I'll make it short. Post more tomorrow or something.....

I picked up the LTR450 and the New Trailer 2 Thursdays ago.
Brought the trailer home, loaded it up and hit the road 3 hours later to the dunes,
and just got home at midnight last night. Then to work for 48 hours....
What a long trip.......But worth every minute.....Great fun and memories.......
4 days to Sand Lake
8 days to Winchester
5 days to Florence

I love the trailer, (but it hates fences img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">). What a home away from home.....
The LTR........WOW....What can I say but way freaking saaawweeeeettttt.
It ran great. I dropped a tooth like Jayna recommended. Nothing I couldn't do or climb easily.

DUNEFEST was great.......hectic but great.
I can't thank KEN (dsxbear) enough for getting Ash and I in at the last minute.
It was great to meet and ride numerous times with Kens "boss", the Editor from Dirt Wheels.
Dennis is a great guy to hang out with. He took lots of pics and gave them to us img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>More on DF later..

I gotta say to, I feel bad for not seeing BigD, Randy, and Karl more.
I'm glad though that I got to BS with them for a bit. Thanks for the beverages BR>I really wanted to ride with the Kings of the sand.
I'm sorry I got way busy on Saturday with Ashley and her MX race (she finished 1st place in the expert class img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">) Then we got to working on installing new Alba exhaust on 2 new quads, before we knew it it was dark already.

Anyway, to bed and back at it in the morning.

It didn't get ugly....it got fun img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>
So my buddies son get's pulled up on stage by this girl img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

They decide that's not enough, one drops her pants BR>I won't mention what the other girl started doing to the one that dropped her pants img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">BR>So some old guy decides to start tugging on the girls pants that are still on (bad mistake for him)
Another guys decides that's not right, so he clocks the old guy.
He falls and breaks one of the DJ's $6000 light stand........
My buddies son come back with a huge ol' grin on his face.........
Along with pictures, kinda dark to see though img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

All in all though, they did a great job at keeping things under control.
Not really many problems to speak of.....
I talked with the event coordinator from the Chamber of Commerce for a while.
The above incident happened late Friday night, and they shut things down after that.
The only real problem I saw though was quite a few way underaged kids running around drunk acting stupid.

Good morning PSAR Looks like another great ride for all that got to go. Yeah! OFC what happened to Mud Dog? Is assistance needed?

gonna be where the internet aint for a couple of days, probably take a day to read all the posts. BR>

Bear: I'll post when I get back to find out where and when we ride. Looking forward to it.

Mornin' PSAR

Sounds like the ride was great yesterday!

Posted by: Red400EXRod

We have two, yes two more members of PBOG!
Now I have to get them on PSAR
My friend Rod and his wife Lisa, who are going to Coos with us next weekend.
As some of you know we have resurrected Lisa's '86 250R after 12 years of inactivity. It's a sweet bike and thanks Bill for all your help.
Well, not be out done, I showed Rod an ad for an '86 250R on Craiglist that was in the Snohomish area.
So needless to say, it is now sitting in my garage waiting to be loaded on the trailer on Thursday for our Friday departure.
It is one sweet machine. Cherry Red powder coated frame, LRD pipe, freshly redone top end, Lonestar swinger, triple rate shocks. Very nice!
I can't wait for Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SAND, SAND, SAND, SAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Red400EXRod

WOW Sean, what a maiden voyage for your trailer and LTR450!
17 days of fun in the sand! I'm envious!

Posted by: Red400EXRod

MB or TP, do either one of you have some sand tires that will fit the new 250R we can borrow for our trip to Coos?

Posted by: RaptorRandy27

Is there a differance between IMS and Clark gas tanks as far as the gas cap? RM ATV has caps for IMS fuel tanks and caps for clark fuel tanks. Which one would I need for my Rancher? I thought they were all standard

What the hell?!?!

I am sooooo sorry to hear this horrible news Brian. I know how much Mud dog meant to you. As somebody has already asked, do you know who this a___hole is? I wish there was more that i could do or say to make it better but there isn't. If you need anything let us know, we (PSAR) are hear for you.

RIP Mud Dog.

Brian, sorry to hear this news. Is he at the Vets? Hopefully healing?

You can steal a man's car, even his wife, but don't EVER shoot his dog!

Brian,
So very sorry to hear about MudDog. img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> I know there isn't much to say that will make it less painful. Only time can do that.

It's been a hard month for our K9 friends.

I hope he got away and is in a shelter or vet somewhere Im sending stuff around.. but from what i heard... My hopes are not too high the old saying people who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones comes into effect.. their bitch has been in my brothers yard everyday. no one shot her.

Posted by: warriorqueen

OFC i just read what you wrote on the spin zone. Wouldn't that be animal curality(SP)? Since you know who it is, can you turn them in? Mud dog wasn't harming the a-holes, so i think you might beable to press charges.

i know when my dog got hit by a car the first thing i did was fall to my knees. I will be praying for muddog and hoping he is in a vet recovering. Sorry again.

I am so sorry. I fell apart when our last dog died. I sure enjoyed Mud dog, Ned did too. I hope those phuk-stains get what they deserve.

Posted by: RaptorRandy27

OFC, very sorry and saddened to hear about your dog. I hold my pets in higher regards than a lot of people I've met in this world . It sounds like some payback is in orderBR>

Have you contacted the authorities yet? They don't take shooting people's pets lightly in this state and what you describe definitely sounds like animal cruelty to to me. I would insist they be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law
