I just got back from riding about 1/2 on the Naches Trail. At the end of the ride i took a swim in the river man that felt good!. The trail is SUPER DUSTY!!! My air filter got soo dirty the engine was bogging down. I had to take the air box lid off. I rode my Z400 and it wasnt bad It was pretty easy for me. I thought it would be alot harder than it was. I talked to a bunch of guys that said the trail isnt that bad. They said near the end is a good size hill climb and steep decent. Im thinking about bringing my Z400 to the ride. Here is some pics:

NO WAY, not when you do this "around the corner" "come in from behind" approach of trying to get an answer to a question........Your problem is with your two work compadres, NOT ME. I've tried real hard to stay neutral and will ALWAYS remain neutral when it comes to that situation.
If you needed to know what i was doing just ask don't play KIDDIE games with me.......
AND as far as your "SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE" insult you owe me an apology. Don't try and sugar coat it with your cute and P/C comedian answers, STRAIGHT UP, I always INVITED YOU when I'm doing something that i know you'll enjoy.
PLEASE stop Larry with this back door, Gladis Cravets approach of trying to obtain an answer from me.
I'll put this out here so everyone can read this with the upmost faith that you'll try and respect my opinion about NOT living my life thru this thread. If you want to know ASK and I have the option to answer or NOT answer........BOTTOM LINE
Respectfully......JB

That would just be water weight and would be back on by Monday!
I'm looking to lose the rest of the gunt!

It'll be a great day for a trip to the ballpark
Even if it's only water weight loss, it's still promising to get on the scale and see the weight reduction

No it is just a big joke around here, my buddy Bruce and his wife Deb live next door but he works on the compound with me so he is deployed 9 months out of the year, I have 2 honey do lists most of the time. All the work with none of the bennies But I don't mind, he would do the same for me if the roles were reversed.

Bing now that's funny rite there for sure. BR>
Long range forecast for next Saturday is high 70's with a chance of rain. Maybe the trails won't be so dusty after all.
Spent the morning doing PM work on my ratty old camper pickup. Alternator was coming up a little low on voltage so replaced it and the regulator. Found one battery isolator that was showing reverse current thru one diode. Finally found a replacement at NAPA. Couple of battery bolts and cleaning of terminals and all the low voltage problems went away. It's amazing what an extra volt or so will do to a rig. Tomorrow I start on the quad, the winch control circuit has decided to quit working. Probably going to need it next weekend to drag myself out of ditch or two. May even have to drag the quad out as well.

Well, we made it home from Hannegan, and the NW Quad Nationals!!Wow, what a difference a week makes, both good, and bad.
Brandon did awesome in his practice session, no one passed him and he did some passing too! No he was not the last one out of the gate We had to wait for the last heat race for him. 9 90cc machine in the "C" class. He left the gate, wheels up and in 3rd place to the first turn. He stayed there for 3 laps until the whoop section and he got passed. He kept pressure on hard, outjumping the child in front of him. He was going for the pass again when he went really big over a tabletop. He landed very nose heavy and went for a spooky ride. The only gear that survived fully intact was goggles and boots. everything else is junk, even the helmet he got yesterday is junk. What is now junk is okay with me. My son has some scratches on his right arm, and ribs where the bike won that battle.
I want to give our buddy QUAD 4 FUN a big shout. He is the man when someone went down today. He darn near beat me to my son, with his daughter on the track at the same time. Thank you Sean! BR>
That is a very well run program. If you want to try a quad motocross race, run the NW Quad NAtty's.
Posted by: tencubed
Posted on Craigslist under the motorcycle section today are some loading ramps, some tires and another post for Banshee wheels and tires.
MB Glad to hear the safety gear did it's job for Brandon. Amazing how tuff kids are.
Posted by: maggiesboy
redRod, here is the link to the Metal Werks in Marysville. You want to ask for Mike Hobeck, he is the owner of the place. He can weld any and everything. He used to weld the cranks in Big D's buddies nitro bike. Mike is the man! give him a call. He will do a A+ job. The best as far as I'm concerned, as are alot of folks.
Posted by: 2mnyToyz
Glad to hear Brandon is ok!
Posted by: maggiesboy
Karl and Mike, thanks for the wishes on little man. He has never before said he "was done" after a wreck. He is usually wanting to get back on the bike, not so today. All the times he got back on and ran hard, and ran well. Today was an eye opener. He went big, and hard, and that is fine he was done for the day.
His front bumper and steering stem show how hard he went over.

I don't even have a winch but if I can get Wild out of all the holes he has dug / rolled himself into along with all my other misfortunate friends I can get you guy's out too. Don't worry about it your in good hands as long as Rancher is there Everybody just pray that I don't get stuck / rolled It hasn't happened yet but it is alot easier to pull the sporties out than my 600 lb sportie eater

Nice pics, I was hoping you would ride that Z400 next weekend. That upper lot looks fairly good size. Are you gonna have some breakfast at the diner with the old guys?

G/N PSAR! Gotta go to work tomorrow. Day 1 let you all know how it goes.
Posted by: LdyJay
Went up to Darrington and camped with the Sandvig's yesterday and today. Out on our afternoon ride Ron and Kym tell Wunderboy and I to go ahead and take off so we can run fast and they were going to stick with Trev and catch up down the trail. So DJ is leading and spanking that 300 at full throttle pinned and his entire rear left hub with wheel comes off his quad. HOLY CRAP BATMAN, that was a dang scary wreck to watch. DJ is going to be sore tomorrow.
Wunderboy did a great job of holding it together long enough to find a softer spot to land and miss some bigger rocks along side of the road where he finally dumped it. I was only about 100ft behind him and all I could see was him going over the quad and then the quad flipping over him a couple times. Then he popped up at the end of the second end over end jumping out of the way of the quad that was still coming after him. By the time I pulled up, he was standing for that moment right after a really good crash when you take inventory to make sure you have all your parts with you and look back at the carnage of your equipment. After checking he was ok, I took off for like a shot to go get Ron and Kym, and when we got back, all Kym could say was she was glad she wasn't riding with us to witness it.
The wheel/hub assembly is still completely MIA. Kym and Ron searched the bushes for a good hundred yards back before the skid marks and 30' into the woods. That sucker is GONE! Battery was in the middle of the road 10' from the quad and let's just say, it doesn't look like any amount of zip ties are going to be able put the plastics back together.
I would love to post the pics I have but the MSN PSAR site isn't responding. I will try again in a bit. And try to post Florence and Easton pics.
Glad your ok Wunderboy. Thanks again for the good entertainment.

glad DJ is OK
time to fire the mechanic
Posted by: LdyJay
Oh and the Z LIVES!!! And the main trouble was......Toasted CDI. I had jetted it lean, too. Wunderboy rejetted for me and it didn't help at all. The reverse light was still on(has been since Rock Candy) unless I revved really high then it would fade out until I let off the throttle then back to on solid. Put the stock CDI back on the quad this morning and VIOLA! It is now the quad I was trying for when I started the project. Awesome! It does hit the rev limiter, but only at the top of the curve where it should for a stock CDI. No reverse light unless I am in reverse. Just need another aftermarket CDI and it should be golden! Didn't even ride my R450 this weekend. img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">I am so happy to have my Z back in running form.
Now, about that Sunday ride...

Good Mornin PSAR,
Bill, glad to hear weeman is ok, you equiped him well.
Kym I'm glad DJ is ok as well, both of these accidents could have had a much worse outcome.
Julie's eye is looking better by the day. This new Doc has done wonders for her and best off all no cornea transplant. She has a small cloud left on her cornea but her vision is improving, she's off all the antibiodics and down to steroid drops 3 times a day. She was out and about this weekend and back to her old self

Good morning PSAR.
71 F. outside at 4:30 this morning. Nice and cool in the house, AC has it at 70 F.
Glad to hear no major injuries over the weekend, eyesight improving and folks going back to work. Sounds like all is good with this group. If anyone had a job as dangerous as this sport the Dept. of Labor and Industries would shut the place down.
We are dog-sitting our Son and D-in-L's little dog while they tour the West. This mutt is about half the size of my boot and having her on a leash is like haveing a bottle rocket on a string. What an active critter but really a little lover. Sits in the wife's lap full time and is a real little sweetheart, going to be hard to let her go. Corgi dog is so mellow he just watches her ricochet off the walls.
Everyone have a great day and stay cool.

So I told them we would ponder over it this weekend and probably come in on Monday.
Since we are going up North for the weekend, I'm gonna stop by the dealer up there and see if I can get a better deal from them. Won't hurt to try.
Sean, there is a dealer in Marysville and Mount Vernon that both sell the Raptor, I think they are owned by the same people and called the same name too. Foley RV, that's the one.
Cindy and I looked at the Raptor at the RV show in Monroe a few months ago. Very nice trailer.

Brandon was offered to race for free on Harley Night up there. I'm of mixed feelings, and he still has not said if he wants to return or not. This is not how I wanted my son to get noticed. But they know I will be watching very close if we go back.
Weeman won't race until the doc gives his a go ahead for solid food. Doc said even kraft mac and cheese needs to be blended for two weeks they no longer cut the tonsciles, they coterize them.

Rancher. Here is some background. for you. I went on a poker run with quads and mocycles. fast bikes out first.. I was first quad out. mocycles had 30 minute head start.. I passed every one of them before the halfway point. then i sat and waited for my buddy dinger for what seemed like eternity and quads started passing me.. finally someone told me he had his tire off and was toast.. So i rode to checkpiont and told Q4fun that he was back there. and i took the long route and passed most the riders agin. think you will still be close?????

Hey MB,
Good job taking care of the lil guy. Tell him to get better soon.
We had a kid a month or two ago that had his tonsils out. I think he ate like a sandwhich or something.
Boy did that irritate his throat, started bleeding quite a bit. Bad enough they had to call us. Twice.
He went to the hospital, came home, and it did it again later that night. They had to go back and coterize it again.
Should bring brandon up to Hannegan on Saturday and let him practice. We run practice most of the day, starts about 0900 or 1000.
You'd can be done with practice and back to you house for your Saturday night festivities........
They also are going to have team and Rhino races after practice.
We'll, we're out of here soon.
Everybody have a great weekend, and drink lots (water hehehehe) and stay hydrated.
We'll have the Grey F350 with Grey sled trailer.
I just realized all the phone numbers I had got lost in my old phone when it went gunny bag. ggggrrrrrr
MB, you werking 2day ??????

Don't know if it would work in this application but on real critical castle nuts we quit using cotter pins after we had a couple of failures. Started using hardened roll pins. Not really that much more of a chore to get in or out and they are super tuff.

Larry, at this time Chuck is out of the sunday ride, unless he can find some parts and get them installed. I can still bring my big trailer and then have room for 4 more quads, as mine will be in my truck bed.

ROD,
Not sure I'm gonna part with it now, it's hard to get rid of it.
But it is a possibilty.
I haven't even looked at what they are going for.
I'm guessing around $5000 to $6000 ish, but I honestly don't know.
I'll do some researching, you can to.....
As for borrowing it to try it out, I'm sure we can make that happen........

I think he said loaded it was around 6000.
My trailer loaded with my stuff (2 LT80's, 250ex, blaster, tool box, air compressor, tons of riding and camping gear) is about 6500 lbs, with about 720 lbs tongue weight.

Sorry Brandon took a spill, but I'm so happy he didn't get hurt. Just a few scratches.
He did get a 10 on a couple of his flying perfomances, especially the over the bars but saved by holding on to the nerf img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>
A fine display of parenthood when he didn't want to race any more.
We only wish all parents were that way.
He's a great kid, and had a great attitude all day.
Hopefully I'll get to see him fly around the flat track sometime.

Thanks a bunch Bill, I appreciate it.
There aren't many crashes I don't beat the track EMTS to.
Even though I don't know everybody, I want to be there to help and make sure they get taken care of.
Again, I am just really glad Brandon was ok.
Two ambulance transports.
He faired better than Cole Fite, who broke his wrist in a pretty scary wreck with another.
Last word was probably no pins or plates, just reset it and cast it.
They did have to put him under since the break was so bad, took some serious wrenching to get back lined up.
Then the guy that tumbled off the tall hill over the tunnel. A banged up knee, dehydrated. haven't heard how bad.
Two other good wrecks, no injuries to the riders, but quads trashed.
You mentioned Ken (dsxbear) img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
He's racing the entire series, so he's at all the races.
When there's a crash, he is always right there with me img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>He's a great help......... even though he is a cop img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> hehehehe... finally got a jab in img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>It's been great meeting him and hanging out, he's a great guy, along with his some Aaron.

WOW, what a long hot weekend.

The girls did great.
Hayley is still timid on the bigger tracks, she likes to tear it up at the smaller indoor tracks.
She does great on the outdoor track once the other riders are away from her though, hopefully she'll get over that.
But I think she is coming around, she now has Ash's LT80 img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
Ash did awsome for only her third race on the 80 shifter. Only real hangups this weekend were the starts, until the last main.
She stepped it up then and got a great start and hung in there. After another couple races, and lots of practice on the starts, she'll be back up there with the front runners.
I've gotta find a yz85 motor to throw in there so I have a backup motor.

Morning PSAR 62 F out right now with a wonderful overcast. Maybe gonna stay a little cooler today.
Kind of a long morning, one of the Corgi Dogs friends has taken a sever turn for the worse. Dog was reluctant to leave him. Strange how they seem to know when things are bad. Otherwise the morning was good.
Looking forward to the ride this weekend, still haven't found the problem with the winch wiring on the Prairie. Starting to suspect an internal break in a wire. Cooler outside to work on it again today.
