For anybody wanting to go to Coos Bay in September, we have an extra site, #6, we'll hang on to it for a while before letting it go.

I agree, I just like a queen size bed on the floor amongst other things. Not knocking a camper, I think they're great, if you don't mind alittle tighter quarters. If Val didn't spend all her time in camp, something smaller might work for us, but when you spend the entire camping trip in camp, you want all the comforts of home in your rig, keep in mind, I'm talking about Val liking all the comforts of home. It may not be camping to some people, but it's what gets her out and that's what counts the most hr>

i hear that for sure

there is definatley sacrifices which ever way you go

i think they love it,,,and so do I

thats about as good as they get IMO,,,,4 seasons,,,,aluminum frame,,,,,last camper a fella would ever need

I'm getting in on this too...

the taj majal tent is purdy kewl, takes up very little room, requires no special tabs, and only weighs 17 pounds. The air mattress on the other hand weighs 26 pounds, and requires a pump.

I've blown my wad, I'm done now.

Everybody has got their good point and bad point about their rigs but nobody can beat the ghetto engineering of our rig at Easton. 2 quad trailers bolted together with tarps bungee strapped over the top and one trailer hooked to my Explorer so it all didn't collapse in the middle of the night. Ahhhhh that is good livin'

G/N PSAR I am hittin' the rack, if anybody wants to go to Evans Creek tomorrow let me know. I will check post's in the morning and then I am gone if you don't catch me by 8:00 you'll have to catch me on the trail and that ain't gonna happen Yeah I am talkin' to you OFC (If your scared say your scared nobody will think less of you

Happa, my camper has a queen sized bed. Then again my camper is a 13'10" job.

That does work worth a crap when you go from sea level to 5500+ feet. It pushes the tees out.

Hi Sean,
Yes we have the Arctic Fox and we love it. We have the 990 model with the full side slide. I believe all Arctic Fox campers have a full wall slide. I don't think they make one without the slide. Our camper has almost as much room in it as our old miniwinnie.
I like the versatility of having a camper. We like to fish so it allows us to tow our boat. We also camp without fishing or the quads and can go just about anywhere to any remote areas.
I also like to drop the camper if we are staying someplace for mare than just a long weekend.
I know our boys loved to sleep in a tent when we went camping with our motorhome. More adventerous for them. They were five and ten years old when we started camping alot and they always slept in their tent.
With you having an enclosed trailer it's perfect for all your tools, gear and a changing room and how often when camping does everyone sit inside and eat if it's nice outside?
I have even thought of getting an enclosed trailer just big enough to haul two quads.
If your new truck is a dually you can get the biggest Arctic Fox and they are very spacious.
There's my .02 worth.

I've got an AF dealer right down the road, so I'm gonna go see what they have.
I did some looking last night, I knew campers were a little spendy, but wow they are spendy.

I'm still going back and forth, but may also go look at the WW 5th wheels down in Chehalis area.

I'll never make a decision img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

I drive an average of 300 miles while working a 12 hour day, you think I want to comute?, are you nuts? With my schedule, I refuse to live more than 10 miles from work, of course I could always get another job closer to a cheaper house, but, I'm happy where I'm at

You might want to take a look at Craigslist for Seattle and Portland. Been watching the RV's for sale and have noticed several really late model campers listed. We are sort of considering a small class C to replace our old pickup and camper. Not going to pay what they want for a new one after seeing the deal a friend got on a 5 year old unit. It's a Chev chassis with 8000 odd miles on it and looks and drives like it's brand new. He spent under $4000.00 including what he paid to have it detailed and checked out at Scamming World.

Exactly, I found my 11' 1985 Western Wilderness on craigs list. Good and solid older camper at a fraction of the cost of newBest of all no payments

Posted by: nwcutie

Ok, Sean, speaking as one who travels with a bunch of kids and quads..............

IF you can be comfy in a camper, go for it! I would get a used camper. You can pull your enclosed trailer, a boat, or nothing and go about anywhere. Us, we wouldn't be comfy in a camper.

The kids could sleep in the enclosed with a baby monitor (or some intercom where you could monitor.

I think the next BEST for comfort and a happy wife (or whoever cooks) is the motorhome + enclosed setup. Awesome! Especially now that you can get a used one with slides and solar at the end of april down in Arizona for a killer price! That is how I would go if I pushed it my way. You can pull a boat or atvs and its all good!

Next up, my next faves...........

Posted by: HappaRap

Nick and I went to the driving range and hit them little white balls with those stick things, that was a fun time, haven't done that in 30 yrs. Think it's time to hit one of them 9 hole courses, all I gotta do is find me a cheap set of sticks.

I'll second that, especially happy wife

Posted by: nwcutie

Sean,

If you are ONLY racing/quadding, get the used mh and enclosed!

Now, the Carson was awesome for us, worked great (except for the hot water heater) and we could tow it easy (and we did! to Glamis, Yuma, Palm Springs, and back while living in it!!!) We pulled that puppy around 20,000 miles in under 2 years img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">BR>
I LOVE the Adrenaline, but the cost is a bit much! We are realizing we have to give a few things up to have it. The kids adore it - room, entertainment, etc. -

Posted by: nwcutie

Absolutely perfect day on the sound. Crabbin' drinkin' sunnin' relaxin' (first day with no kids since last summer )

Then a bozo cuts in line and thinks he's special cuz his sperm fertilized an egg! !What a RICHARD CRANIUM!!! I told him off! Hey, we have 5 between us and we deal! That little puddun needs to plan if he is taking the kids. Don't use your kids as an excuse to cut in front of a whole line of folks who are waiting for the launch! Of course I told his little chickin butt off!

He needs his huevos removed so he doesn't reproduce again and have another excuse!

I deal with 14 and 15 year olds all year and don't want to deal with those teenie weenie types on my summer vacation!

OK, I'm done and happy again

I am thinkin photo 4 was a result of bad quad skillz. A seasoned rider would have picked a better line around that there small hole. But I guess when you are the fastest around you would think you could fly right over the top of that puddle, and never feel it.

we got back to the swinomish launch at about 12-1 pm to find about 20 boats jogging in the current waiting to use the launch

it was low tide and only about 5 feet of the launch dock was in the water and no other wat to tie up while you got your trailer

so,,,,what you had to do to pull your boat out was,,,,drop off a driver and keys,,,,,then get in line behind about 15 trucks/trailers waiting in front of you

Marcy dropped off josh,,,,who got the trailer. I pulled up along a log boom and walked the boom to shore and got my own trailer.

We waited in the water for about 40 minutes,,,and in line for the launch about another 30 minutes.

SOOOO,,,,,,this one guy,,,,is with his 2 or 3 kids who all look under 6. He has dilemna, because he has nowhere to leave his boat while he waits in line for 30 minutes. So,,,,he pulls his boat to the end of the dock,,,,ties it up in the only space available,,,,,and informs the next guy,,,,"too bad,,,,your just gonna have to wait". He goes and gets his truck,,,pulls in front of the entire line,,,,and yanks his boat out of the water.

Most people would have asked for assistance from one of the 15 people spectating (excuse me sir,,,can you watch my boat while i tie off to this log boom). Then he could have taken his kids,,,put them in the truck and waited for his boat.

I was actually thinking of asking my dad to fake a heart attack so we could get away with pulling out right away.

anyhow,,,,,marcie almost strung the guy up by his sac

he seemed like a real charmer,,,,,setting a good example for his kids yelling and cussing at a woman in public

good mornin psar

has anyone had any experience with MRSA?

Posted by: maggiesboy

Here is the post I left on Hannegan Speedway's sight this morning. Was I wrong?

Last night was a huge disappointment. I had two little boys that entered the racing program. One went home wondering why he was put into a class we DID NOT SIGN HIM UP IN, and my oldest son was in tears. A great night of family fun, don't you think so?

To start everything off. We signed my 4 year old son up to run the mini quad TT class. When out on the track for practice, he never took the checkers. A young man on a shifter quad was so fast, he lapped my son often. He got one and a half laps complete before this young racer took the checkers. My son got flagged off the track, because your offical made him pull off. IS two laps too much to ask? let him take a flag. After an initial DELAY of over 45 minutes to get heat races posted, he was put into mini quad flat track. I know my 4 year old won't be winning, so no biggie huh? Just let the kid ride. Then they announce a problem with the classes. ANOTHER DELAY! (maybe they put him in his class) Not so, we'll let him race anyway, to say something would delay the program further...

Now I have both of my sons in the same class (due to clerical error on the track staff). Great, just great, this is why I signed then up in different classes to begin with. The only positive thing that came out from the night is that my 6 year old son won that heat race by 10 seconds. As the kids are leaving the track, the next race is staging. My 4 year old, who you folks put in the wrong class is not even off the track yet. Your starter, with all his wisdom, gives the staged heat a green light. My 4 year old is on the backstraight for christ's sake! Hello, your announcer even noticed, and he said something too. Your flagger on the inside of turn 4 is looking at me, while I'm screaming to wait, and he is saying nothing. Thanks buddy.

Main event time (finally after a long track refinish due to motocrossers tearing up the track) Hello, it is flat track and TT! My wife and I take OUR time to get the mini quads inline, so the stager just need to give a quick look. All 11 of them are in line correctly. My sons are starting in row 1, spot #2 and in row 2 spot number 4. They roll to the line, and the starter just lets these kids race to the line, and lines them up in the order they get there. What is up with that? because my son is not wide open from the top of turn 4 to the chalk, you penalize him? He was placed on the 2nd row in the second hole. Hello starter, what is the malfunction? you look at your paper and adjust all the other kids, he was waving at you to fix the problem, you didn't even walk over to him. Thanks buddy. He ends up in our truck after that race in tears. He said he tried to get the starters attention and he would not help him. He was crying, saying "he got cheated" I agree with him.

I walked over the the area at turn 4 to talk to someone about it. Brian Billings was standing there and knows I was there. He was less than 2 feet away, just listening. I know he was because he pulled his headset back to be able to listen as I told them what had happened. He did nothing, shame on you Mr. Billings. These young kids are the future of the program that you are attempting to promote. If you continue to treat the youth classes, as "just kids", your program will suffer much more than it already has. Having to bring in motocrossers to fill your program is complete BS. Last year we paid less, and raced more. This year, more money, less laps, more time between heats and mains (how are food sales? up I bet).

My son was offered a trophy for the mistake, that is ridiculous. Six of these 11 kids come from one very tight group. Bragging rights mean alot to these kids. You offer a trophy to him, for a mistake that your starter made. What does that mean to the child that did earn his trophy? The right thing to do was to rerun the race, with all 11 kids lined up correctly. Yor excuse was we can't, thats right, you don't have time because you brought in the motocross folks. (have I mentioned that was a GREAT IDEA?)

If my son's last name was Osterholtz, Stanley, or Fite, this would have never happened.

Shame on you sign up shack, (twice) Shame on you starter, and SHAME ON YOU BRIAN BILLINGS.

The part of not "BEING PREPARED" to get his boat out of the water is one of the big reason i sold my boat !!!!!!!!

I've seen (what seemed like) GOOD SOLID MARRIAGES end at a boat ramp........BR>

Willie......I know your upset, Remember this, If it wasn't this sport it would be another sport that the same thing would happen (DISORGANIZED)........

Stand back and punt, If your kids enjoy RIDING find another avenue for them......

Jim, this is why I have my kids race, the ball and stick sports depend too much on another childs performance. Here my kids can show their ability, with only my tuning/ setup to blame a failure on. ( that hardly ever happens, 1 time in two years) who's job its it to send these kids off properly? I did my part, the track staff failed horribly.

I guess we go back to archery, we can do team shoots. Did you folks know that taternuts was a ranked archer in Virgina when we in the Army? She really shines shooting sticks downrange BR>

Willie......Let it pass for your kids sake.....Karma comes around to all that do bad by or to others......
I've seen your boys in action and they display the love for racing.......Keep that love for racing alive for them and let the knukleheads that are there for whatever reason (and it's not for the love of this sport) get theirs........

It wasn't even nessasary we were just dinking around making runs through the hole, then a jeep cam through and tore it up really bad, then I made another pass and Wild thought he would follow Once the jeep tore it up he didn't have a chance.

MB sorry to hear about your kids experience it is not fair and they where cheated but I have to agree with BigD, don't pull your kids from a sport they love because of one bad incident. The world is not fair and it is best they realize that from the start.

Dirty, I need my 15 tooth front sprocket off of that LT80 that was at the track last night. Can DJ or someone pull it off, or can I come and get it?

Good Moring PSAR!!

Well YES it was a cluster phuck pretty much last night BUT IT IS @ EVERY RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill I kno wit upsets you but unfortunelty this has been happening for YEARS to us I was irritated also when Trev went up to get a trophy & they said they SCORED THEM ALL TOGETHER????????? HOW stupid is that, scoring 90's,80's shifters & lil' ol' 50's all together????????????????? img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0"> I did pitch a little fit up in the booth & said that was BS so the one lady says "should we just give him a trophy" Even the guy handing the trophies out said it was BS them scoring like that, I told them these kids come here to race & if they win they want thier trophy BUT if they have to run against MUCH faster machines what is the point, they told me they need 5 to make a class WHATEVER THEY ARE LITTLE KIDS!!!!!!!!!
So Trev did get a MC trophy whatever again hahaha Trev's quad was VERY lean on the first heat race & we rejetted but didn't have the right size so he ran heavy & it showed he WILL BE getting some more power & differnet carb that's for sure!!!! Thinking about doing some serious mods to the fiddy img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> we will see what we come up w/ definetly need gearing & a carb to start though!!

DJ did VERY well last night He went out in his 1st heat race & took 1st I am VERY proud of him he beat one fast HIGH dollar machine img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> makes my heart HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY he rode GREAT kept his head!! He placed 4th in the main for that heat, kinda got a funky start then there were people in FRONT of him once again that don't go as fast in the turns & were SQUIDS!!! In his 2nd class I think he took 4th in the heat & starte don the back row pole postition & came up to end w/ a 3rd!! He was even surprised when "big money" came up & said good race along w/ his Dad!!!
Brett #66 has offered to haul his quad to MIssoula, MT for a big race next month we are seriously thinking of going, we will drive the car out & stay w/ my girlfriend who lives there!!! Guess there is a $5000 Pro Purse, not saying DJ will go out & win but it would get his name out there a little more!!
I AM PROUD TO SAY HE BEAT JEFF OSTERHOLTZ LAST NIGHT ON HIS LTR450 img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> Gotta love that he was stoked Jeff even said that he looked good last night, seems alot more people are starting to notice that YES DJ can ride that 450 & is VERY competitive on it!!!!
So for him it was a good night, it was a LONG night that's for sure didn't get home till about 1am man I'm too old for that hahaha

Bill thanks for the loan of tools ect next time wonderboy will remember his tool box & GEARING!!

OK well it's time to go clean up the bus & offload some quads you all have a GREAT DAY

I would LOVE to come meet Alice img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>OH yeah & one more thing don't pull the boys from racing just take a couple weeks off you know they love it!!!! For the boaters and racers that ran into the idiots. Seems like a percentage of the people in the world are just that way and their is not a lot you can do about it. Good on you folks for taking a stand and making your point. Even if it does not change the way those as(cough)les act in the future you have given others a lesson that may take root and help improve our world just a little.

At the homestead here in Seattle SWMBO and D-in-L spent the day yesterday makeing tamalies. Boy are they gooooood! D-in-L used her mothers recipe and these things are so much better than what you can buy even in the Mexican markets. SWMBO made the second batch and they taste just like the first ones. Very long and laborious process to do it right, took all day but really worth it. Son and I did the clean up and wrapped the mix in the corn husks so it was a real family effort. Great day for sure. Only downside is they are so good you want to keep munching but about two and your really full. I think they swell up when they hit your tummy.

Kym surprise us, we were thinking roast, roasted potatoes, some veggies, bread, drink, and I was thinking a warm apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. We have the roast. some potatoes, and the apple crisp, we only have a little ice cream though. It would be great to have your family here( with no race talk). Just friends hangin out and testing Alice.

Nope, wife is a nurse and I ask her. Since she is a nurse and not a Dr. she can not really give you much in the way of advice except take precautions and contact your Dr.

But would also like to look between here and there.

Arctic Fox now makes Toy Haulers. They're called Desert Fox. The Everett location has many of them. Right next to RV Town.

I put it over it but if I had it to do again, I'd take the label off first.

tencubed I ma surprised at you, I hope that you are being sarcastic. That is such a bunch of BS; you do have part of it right though. That person should be in rehab but to blame on society rather than one&39;s self is just ridiculous. We all make our own choices and just yesterday my Sister saw her Ex-Husband begging for change on the side of the freeway. He was a great Father and Husband for 10 years now he is addicted to Meth and a piece of chit in my opinion. To say that we are to blame is not an option, he and he alone made those choices. And he alone is to blame for what he is today.

For any of you Ute guys out there, my dad has the following box for the rear rack that he wants to get rid of.

Quad Boss Rear Wrap Trunk Black 18"H x 36" W x 22" D

They run about $one eighty nine. Would just like a donation of about $one hundred to $one hundred twenty five.
It's brand new, he installed it then took it off before it was used. May just need to buy 4 new u-bolts.

You can look it up to see it, but if I can get back on here in the next couple days I'll look for it on a website and post a link.

Let me know if interested

Most definitley sarcasim on my part. During my stint with King County I worked at a rehab facility and saw first hand the manipulation of our legal and services systems by the clients that passed thru. On a number of occasions children were put in harms way because of the rules set by public agency managers. In this case a baby is dumped like a sack of garbage and by the time all is said and done those responsible will probably end up with a slap on the wrist. I agree we have a horrific problem with drugs and am very aware of the damage that can be done to a person, family and the community by people making bad choices. But personal choice and responsibility are what keep the majority of us from being in the situation of your sisters Ex.

Linda and I took in foster kids at the farm for years and it was very rewarding in most cases. What killed you was when a baby would come to us and stay for a year or two till the mother would "get her life together" and the State would give the child back to her. Like having one of your own taken from you and really hard on the child. We would try to keep track of these kids but often couldn't. Some of these we know ended in ruined lives for the child, a very few had reasonable outcomes.

What I feel should be the punishment for those responsible for throwing away this baby can't be published here. I have a great fear this child's troubles have just started.

Well Good Morning, We made it back from Spokane. Man what an adventure that was. When we got to Vantage, traffic was STOPPED. We looked up the hill, and we could see smoke so Regan got his map out and thought oh we can go around a different way. We got off the freeway and headed down stream, and came to a dead end. Went back to i-90 jumped back on the freeway as it was slowly moving now. Crawled up the hill towards Moses and there it was a motor home gone. All that was left was the metal. The side of the hill caught on fire too so they had 4 wheel drive fire trucks up on the hill, making sure it didn't restart. The also had about 5 water trucks soaking the hill. We finally get over to Spokane as the "party" was just starting. We had some good grub, visited with people and hit the sack. Saturday we left Spokane about noon. Justin was driving, and we had both of the quads standing up in the bed of his truck and we were pulling the jet ski's. We were just cruzing along with the traffic, and BAM there is a state patrol. he pulled along the side of us and pointed us to the side of the road. Justin gave him a wave and he took off to get another car. We pulled behind the cop and he went and talked to the other guy first. Came back to us and asked justin do you know what the speed limit is, Justin said 70, he then asked do you know how fast you were doing. Justin said 75, he said try 82. The cop says do you know that you are suppose to be doing 60. Justin said no (he was playing dumb). We gave him the insurance, registration, etc. and he came back acouple of minutes later and said i will do you a favor. he wrote justin a ticket for 82 in a 70 and told him to slow it down and reminded justin when he has a trailer (any type) to do the correct speed limit. I was laughing the whole time cuz right before we say the cop, he said i would love to live out here, i said why, he says cuz there's no cops. I said oh yes there is, just wait, and BAM there you go buddy.

Got to Moses about 2 rode the quads, and jet ski's for 4 hours packed up and headed home. The boys wanted a day to do stuff around the house. I drove from Moses and watched my speed as i didn't want a ticket either. LOL Had fun at moses, lots of people over there this past weekend. The water was like bath water.

Just wish I felt better... been runnin' a mild temp the past few days. Think I might call the doc tomorrow, gettin' tired of it.

Know what you mean. I really believe the Corgi Dog has perfected perpetual motion of a sort. Put in one pound of food and from this you get two pounds of hair, one pound of poo and about a half gallon of slobber and other assorted juices. If it wasn't for the good things they do they wouldn't be worth keeping around.

We have a Corgi/Border Colly/Austraillian shepard mix. Looks like a Corgi without the knobs in the legs. Best dog we've ever had. I thought he shed too much until we got a blue heeler. She needs brushed everyday. Should just shave her, it'd grow back in a matter of days at the rate she sheds.

One of the real hard things of getting older is seeing the good ones pass. Reminds us to be sure to let folks know how we feel about them.

Sorry for the bad news Rod.

My Ex and I went 5 yrs trying before one day, poof, pregnant. We did all the tests, everything was fine, then one day, it happened, the second one was not a problem.

Hmmm. We must have been "lucky". Seemed all I had to do was shake out my pants in the bedroom and SWMBO was grinning and saying "Guess What!".

Sent the rear tire to Skat-Trak to have it tripple buffed and have 2 paddles bonded to it...
