Easton was great as usual, dusty though. It seemed I did less riding this trip and more hanging around camp, which was pretty cool. Taking Bindi for runs around the airfield, playing horse shoes, swimming in the creek and hiking to the top of Full Throttle, yeah, it was a good time.

Yup, know the family well. That is the family I mentioned. Really fine people. They were neighbors to my Aunt and Uncle for years and back when they owned a thrashing machine with a couple of other locals. Did a lot of custom work. We are not related but do have a long history, not close friends but neighbors.
I also know the Loomis family, worked with the dad, Ron, a number of times.

Well, we made it back from the dunes last night. Very nice riding weather - about 63 or so. It could have been a bit sunnier, but then my sunburn would have worse.
The boys and I went to Redwood National Park right after school got out. The rangers had us in a beautiful spot that was really private, but it was so buggy! It was so bad we spent all our time at the beach - we found some dunes north of crescent city that were pretty private and had fun playing, but got sunburned.
Then we moseyed up the coast to Brookings. The campground was really nice and we had a good time checking out the coast, tidepools, and stuff. I like hanging out with my boys when we are out like that.
This was a short camping trip this year though - only a week in the tent. Then we met Josh, Bill, and the girls at Horsfall Beach and we rode at Coos. The campgrounds were packed, but the sand wasn't that crowded once you got away from the campgrounds.
We found the rope swing and had fond memories of Jacob in all his gear swinging out and jumping off of that thing.
Good trip, nice weather. Now, if my back would just stop peeling..........

We received some upsetting news from Iraq. It seems Nate has been having some kind of heart trouble. The Docs thought maybe he had an infection in the Paricardial sac around his heart. They gave him some antibiotics and sent him on his way after a couple of days in the hospital.
We received another email from him Saturday night and he said they were sending him back to camp Anaconda to the hospital since he wasn't getting any better. I guess he has actually been feeling worse. We understand that if they can't figure out what it is at the hospital there in Iraq, that he may be shipped to Germany to the hospital at Ramstein.
It's so frustrating not hearing anything and not knowing what's going on with him.
Cindy and I have had a hard time relaxing the last few days not knowing what's going on.
There are a few on here who have met Nate, so I thought I'd pass along the info.

Sorry to hear that Rod, we will keep him in our thoughts and prayers. They will get him fixed up for sure and then he should be granted some convalescent leave to come home and rest up.

Update from Iraq, via Katie.
It appears Nate is going in for a treadmill test tomorrow.
He also is packing all his gear just in case he needs to go to Germany without a return to Iraq.
Kind of good/bad news. It would be great for him to go to Germany without a return to Iraq but that would mean something more serious is wrong with him. I will keep everyone updated.

Yeah there might have been some dust at Easton, but if you weren't there, you missed out. It was more gooder fun. We must have drank 5 cases of beer. Bing may have even been impressed.
It was supposed to be a 2 day trip, but it was to good to leave. RG drove home Monday morning, did the whole J O B thing, then cruised back over. I got almost 4 days camp time. I did get to try out the new ACL. It held its own, but still not strong. Sitting down, my foot would bounce on the peg. I had to stand, but that helped build strenght, IMO.

I had a pretty good weekend. Turned a yr older on Monday. Saturday, sunday and Monday i was pretty much at the lake the whole day. Rode the jetski's on Monday in Lake Stevens, in water that was pretty much bath water. Had alot to drink but i pretty much sweated it out or i wasn't drinking fast enough. Went through a gallon of captain's in 2 days. LOL
Usually it's 3-4 drinks and i'm good to go.
Good to hear that nobody seriously got hurt over at Easton.
I'm pretty tired today. Only got about 3 hours of sleep, due to the fourth of july. I went to my sister in laws house and her neighbor probably spent 1000 dollars on his fireworks. The last 10 that he let off were probably 5 minutes long and spectacular.
Oh bing my neighbor went out crabbing on Saturday and only got 10 crab (3 people on board). Whatever you are doing keep it up because he is having no luck at all!!

I raced the last two years at Tenino. It's a nice little facility. I'm sure he'll have a blast.
Unfortunately, I'm not racing this year. I was a one man show and just didn't have the time to do everything myself. Tell him he's extremely lucky to have all of the extra help with the car. I hope that one day I can be that lucky.
If for some reason he can't make a race, I would love to sub for him.

I just wanted to let you all know that this family could use everyone's prayers. I knew this guy over the internet. He's name is Robert Ezell, went by Icecleric on BT. I got to get to know his about 3 years ago when he was going through some ruff times.He was a passionate guy, that loved his kids and quads. Just recently somebody stole his quadracer that he fixed up. He was married for 4 weeks and just found out less than a month ago that his new wife was pregnant with twin boys. He was only 31 years old, and had a terrible accident that took his life away. If you check out some of his post on BT you can see what kind of guy he actually was. I feel so terrible for Gertie, his new wife, his kids and unborn kids, family and friends.

Sad news from WQ, Bing summed it up well. What else can one say?
Really good to hear no bones broken or major damage from the Easton outing and other weekend activities. We had a little fire in some of the bark chips out front of the house. Bottle rocket started it, garden hose put it out. Glad we were keeping an eye on things. Son and his wife showing up from their home in Mexico this afternoon so will be doing lots of fun stuff while they are here.

i always have 25 gallons of frozen water, 50 gallons of gas,,,and food for 2 months on hand

Wow, you've got us beat..we have an emergency kit and plenty of food for us and the animals, some water but no where what you have and only the gas Hap has in his cans..never thought of that part of things. Mom always taught us to never let the freezer or the cubbards get too empty just in cast of guests stopping by or war BR>

Well the Sandvig 4th party went off w/o a hitch img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> we had a good time & LOTS of fireworks & food!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO incidents to report thats a good thing, the little rain that fell was nice to wet the grass down some thats for sure!! I wetn to Boom city w/ Ron & Darren this year & MAN did we get a good deal hahaha spent about $210 & came back w/ the trunk of my car CORKED in fact we had to leave the box we carried it out in there it was too big to fit in the trunk LOL
The kids had a good time now it's time to CLEAN UP BLAHHHHH the yard looks like a war zone once again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE didn't have any fires this year either haha
GREAT food, I didn't even have to cook either img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> my girlfriend Jackie did it all thought that was nice of her!!!

REPORT FROM IRAQ:
Cindy and I were relieved to get a call from Nate last night (3:30AM).
He has had an infection in the pericardial sac surrounding his heart. He is on antibiotics and anti-inflamatories.
He has been sent back to FOB Warhorse and is once again participating in patrols.
He sounded real good and said he was feeing much better.
He passed his ekg and treadmill tests with flying colors and is being checked on a daily basis by the medics.
He will remain at FOB (forward Operating Base) Warhorse for ten more days and then return to Camp Anaconda only to pack all his gear and belongings and head to another FOB near Samarra.
Right now it looks like he will remain there until the end of September when his company will leave country and return to Kuwait. He will remain in Kuwait for about a month or two and should be stateside by the first week of December.He will then have 30 days leave!
So it looks like a possibility of only 3 more months in country!
Thank you everyone for your heartfelt thoughts and prayers.
It's great to know we have such good friends who show their support and concern for us and Nate.

I also asked about the frame. The problem is this. Suzuki is not standing behind the repaired frames. They want all liability to fall on the welders, which is a massive bunch of shat.

Easton was very warm and Sunny. It is always great to get together and camp with the group. It was DUSTY!!! So dusty I lost sight of the road right in front of me. Had to hang back and let the dust clear so you didn't end up off in the bushes. Either that or lead so you don't eat all the dirt. BR>
We traveled a couple roads I hadn't been on before and a neat hill climb, now named Donut's Hill. Jenna climbed it on the 250 like a pro. No carnage. Yeah!
Now she just needs to avoid those pine cones in camp. Sneaky little buggers. They were killers. BR>

DJ has been offered to drive a race car(bomber class) @ Monroe, Tenino Port Angeles(sp) & State Line ID img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> HE'S STOKED to say the least!! It was priceless how it went down haha we've know for a couple weeks(can you believe I kept my mouth shut haha) he came to Bill Pelham Sr.'s house for a BBQ last night & seen the car & ooogled it then said "man wish I could drive that" So "pops" said well we have a mechanic, & a pit crew but no driver how would you like to drive it? He thought taht was pretty COOL!!
So they have work to do on it & he will be helping w/ that then we aren't sure when he will race yet!!!
It is a 78 Dodge Duster they are also repainting it red/black(what a coincidence that is our race colors soon so I'll keep everyone posted on when he hits the track for the 1st time!!! Have to have a PSAR CHEERING SECTION!!!!

And I may let you, but I really want to try to get it squared away before the thing is out of warranty. As it stands, it sounds like they may hold it hostage for the duration of the rest of the warranty period for all the recall stuff anyway. Not so sure I want to give up my ride for the summer. I am not even going to try and catch up, that is about the 3rd time I have said that but I have been out of the net for about 3 weeks now. Work has been hell. But I got 2 new employees to help me with the bull that has been piling up. Wild is one of them! We are riding at Middle Waddell tomorrow if any body is interested in joining. This just happened to my old riding buddy
-Upside down on a 2005 Dodge 1500 with everything.
-traded it in for a STICK SHIFT Mustang with REMOTE AUTO START.
-Tried to start it in gear at his neighbors house and car leaped forward and rear ended his neighbors truck
-Took the mustang back and told dealer to fix it. Dealer said it was working properly and tried it.
-Dealer pressed the button and mustang started, leaped forward, and took off through dealership (driverless).
-Dealer tried to chase the car and it plowed into a brand spanking new expedition.
-truck was sold at auction a week ago
-mustang was totaled
-Expedition had extensive damage
-Dealer tore up his contract and gave back his down payment.
No more payments and one down payment richer!
I want a copy of the security camera tape.

You have the same truck, not many bells and whistles that don't come on the Lariet FX4. Wow..
I didn't want it all, but with those being the only '07's I really couldn't pass it up.
Better to get an '07 now rather that an '06 for same price but at the tail end if it's model year.
I did not find an '07 on anybody else's lot in the area.
Fugate had about 6, but only 2 long beds and only 1 F350 I think.
But they were hiding way way in the back over behind the used car lot.
I just happen to see some crewcabs over there so I wondered over to peak img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>I got it just over invoice and almost less than the '06 I think img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>
No new changes for '07 I don't think.
The changes for '08 are basically the same motor, just a 6.4 ltr and a new dual turbo I believe.
I didn't ask about all the changes because I could'nt wait for the '08's and I didn't want to know
what I was gonna miss out on.
With my trailer loaded at 7000 lbs, I have to remind myself that it is even back there img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>I love it img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>

I agree, and yes, the rear axle is locking up a wierd times. locks up but will move forward via throttle, with big drag, but will not coast in reverse. Dragging the quad backwards, trying to hand move the wheels, nothing. Tighter than a rich man's wallet on taxday. Turn downhill forward, and it runs me over and releases. It was doing the locking up several times when I tried to do a 4 point turn around on a hill. I would ride up the enbankment, but it would stick up the hill instead of just rolling back down flat. I didn't put it all together until I was REALLY stuck on that last hill climb. It's going in and the shop and I need to discuss this and the frame thing.

It was a good ride today at Waddell We saw Happa and Josh, I met Bear and we had a good ride. It was pretty dusty but we still had a lot of fun. I think my Quad is broke. I am getting an error indicator again haven't looked at it yet to see if it is something easy to fix. I hope so I just shelled out 421$ to get it fixed and I have only rode it twice
