lake washington.....halibut (bass is the target,,,,but whatever bites) here fishy, fishy
Sweet, have fun out there, should be a beautiful day on the lake. Sometime next month we'll be heading to Mineral Lake for a weekend, maybe Silver Lake also. I haven't been fishing in some years, really miss it. Camp and fish all the lakes I used to frequent for the day trips.
Now all I need is a boat, Hummmmmmm

I know that, he!! I've been cut on 11 times and only 2 didn't fix the problem. But then I never get surgery without a second opinion anymore. It took only one time having the surgery (my third one) and not getting fixed to start asking for the second opinion first, then cut. I know a gal who didn't ask for a second on back surgery and she is 5 times worse now, than she was before and she has now been told that the surgery proceedure used was the wrong route to go and they can't fix it now. My second failure was a low percentage deal going in and the odds were against me from the start. But I knew that going in and it wasn't a surprise. So don't be telling me about needing surgeries. It never hurts to ask a second opinion, no matter whether you like and trust the doctor. If he gets offended then you know you are on the right track and if he says "Sure, do you want a recommendation or want to look for someone on your own." you know you can trust the guy. Remember doctors kill more people than cars in this country and only God knows how many they screw up but don't kill.

Yes, day parking inside the campground. When you enter the grounds, go left past the bathrooms / showers. That will lead you straight to us. If you don't stop you may run into a "Happa Dancer". The day parking is behind the bathrooms and horse shoe pit.

rough day yesterday for the Pellham family. Little Weeman is in the hospital, here in Arlington. He has had a couple of really rough days as far as his athsma. I got home last night at 11:30 and I'm heading back up there in a few minutes. His oxygen counts are very low (mid 80's), and he is so weak he collapsed night before last just standing by the table. As of 10 last night his oxygen level was up tp 88%.
If anyone is interested he is in room 205 @ CVH in Arlington.
I'll update as I can. Bill

I hope he gets better soon. He's got some riding to do this weekend. Not a fun weekend to be in the hospital, that's for sure. Sounds like he getting better just very slowly.

Bill, Very sorry to hear Weeman is having trouble. With this beautiful weather we sometimes forget the air quality diminishes and can cause problems for the sensitive people. Hope he recovers quickly. Let me know if you guys need anything.

People will start arriving Friday afternoon and some will be there til Tuesday. Most people are leaving on Monday.
If you want to camp, you should call The Ranch and try and get a spot near 38 to 44. Those are the sites we already have.

OK, I just added the most amazing thing to my shop today. Everyone that has been to my shop knows that I have a bunch of "Toys" here. A couple months ago I added a Bumper Pool Table to my fleet of toys, but what I added today is by far the best toy for any adult male.
I added a "Kegerator" with a full keg. Val, she seems to be doing pretty good. No firm date on the surgery yet. From what I gather it will take 8-12 months to get full vision back and no riding for a few months while the cornea is healing. They don't want her in any dusty or sandy enviroments for a while. Were just in a wait and see mode right now. I don't think she will be able to come to Dune Fest with me but I'm hoping she will be able to make the coos bay trip just to hang out and take it easy, I know she will want to see everyone.

Got back to the internet here in Seattle about 3 hours ago, caught up on the goings on here and found some folks doing better and some not so good. Weeman in and out of the hospital, always really scary with the young ones. Hope all goes well for these folks.
Lots of folks out of town having fun. Thats good stuff. Some of us having to stay home, not as good but managable.
Spent the last several days at the farm. Rebuilt a bathroom, mowed a bunch of mustard, thistle and rye till the rough cut brush mower engine started acting up. Runs but low on power, seems to be an ignition thing. No puller to get this flywheel off. Takes a special tool, ordered it from Briggs. Decided to start up the camper pickup, it had been setting for several months. Took about 15 min to get it going, drove to town and filled it up ($$$$$$ 45 gallons). Got home and was going to bring it back to Seattle this AM. Started it after putting all the stuff in the back and the starter sounded funny. Let it run about half and hour and shut it off to check the water and oil again. Starter would not engage, bendix went bad. Have to pull the tuned header and move the transmission lines to get the starter off. Decided not to tackle that today as the temp outside was already at 80 F at 7:30 AM.
Had some neighbors stop by with their new dog. Some kind of cross breed mutt that immediatly decided it wanted to be in charge. Three cow dogs, one Corgi and this mutt in a free-for-all. Dick and I in the middle making some of the best dance steps seen of late as we beat on dogs with hats, fists and boots. Finally got it stopped with minor dog damage and a not really serious bite on Dick's leg. All I got was a tear in my pants. The "New Dog", when last seen, was on his way back to the pound where they found him. I was surprised at the Corgi, who is always so gentle and tollerent around kids and those less fortunate, when he was tackled by this strange dog how violent his reation was.
Weather was hot and dry. Hottest day was 108 F and so dang dry it made your face hurt when we went for a ride to the top of the Columbia Hills on the quads. Air was kind of dust filled so we couldn't see all that far but the smog cloud rising over Portland stood out real clear. All of the Mt's were easily visable and the whole coast range showed up kind of clear at their tops and blue down low.

tencube, I have a ride planned for Middell Waddell Creek Campground (Capitol Forest) for thursday the 6th thru monday the 10th if you are interested. Come camp or just do a day ride (or two). Happa will be riding saturday. There are a group of Oregon based riders I rode with in May at East Fort Rock coming up. Anyone else interested is invited as there will be a fast group and a slow group riding.

Hay sucks but got a bumload put up over 100 tons this weekend and 40 of it was in lil sqaures drivin around with a bale popper and a trailer. hand stack on trailer then hand stack in barn. orchard grass = HEAVY the other 60 ton was round bales. rolled 100 into the middle loft of the barn. and hauled 54 back with us and the 50 went in another building where they was bailed. production was slow. 5 tons an hour into the loft. thats picking them up in the field. square bales was much slower than the roundys though.

Unloaded them by hand.. But not load.. Use the lil deere with a squeeze on it. and when we stuck them in the loft it was a roll show. Takes allotta hp outta one person to roll them.. lil easier with two people. They are easier for fat kids to move dues to the traction you get from your weight.

So a day ride on Saturday in Easton looks like a good idea to me. If I pull into the campgroound around 8:30ish, is that around the time? I figure once we unload and gear up it will be around 9:00. The friend that is a girl (not girlfriend) want's to know more about the riding over there. Anything I can tell her? I know it's loging roads and trails. Any more info??

I know that, he!! I've been cut on 11 times and only 2 didn't fix the problem. But then I never get surgery without a second opinion anymore. It took only one time having the surgery (my third one) and not getting fixed to start asking for the second opinion first, then cut. I know a gal who didn't ask for a second on back surgery and she is 5 times worse now, than she was before and she has now been told that the surgery proceedure used was the wrong route to go and they can't fix it now. My second failure was a low percentage deal going in and the odds were against me from the start. But I knew that going in and it wasn't a surprise. So don't be telling me about needing surgeries. It never hurts to ask a second opinion, no matter whether you like and trust the doctor. If he gets offended then you know you are on the right track and if he says "Sure, do you want a recommendation or want to look for someone on your own." you know you can trust the guy. Remember doctors kill more people than cars in this country and only God knows how many they screw up but don't kill.

Just a heads up for those who are planning the Naches ride on the 29th. One of the guys I work with, the guy that came over and rode with us at Easton told me tonight that he believes that the 29th is a huge jeep jamboree that they hold every year in that territory. He mentioned that theres usually about 500 jeeps up there for that weekend. So, BEWARE!! He said he would make a few phone calls to some of his ex-jeeping contacts and see if that is in fact the correct date for the jeep jamboree.
I will update information when I hear anything new.

We'll wait for all day riders to arrive, 9:00 sounds fine. There's one small creek to cross, one section of woods with flat winding trail with roots exposed before reaching dirt roads and it'll be dusty. There's bathrooms and showers on site. Almost zero cars on these dirt roads, we might run across 1 or 2 in a weekend.
