I just got back from riding the Naches Trail. Seems that people here thought it was closed. On my way riding today I stopped at the ranger station. The ranger said the trail is open all the way to Eastern Washington. No downed trees just a little snow at the summit. The ranger said the July 15th date is an estimated date when the trail conditions would be ready for travel. He said because of all the warm weather most of the snow has melted. I didn&39;t go all the way to eastern Washington. I talked to some guys that had come from eastern Washington they said it&39;s totally ride able. I choose to get on the trail one of the harder ways, I 1/2 rolled it goin up. This trail isn&39;t for beginners. Pics from today:

Looks like a great trail.
I had actually talked to a Ranger on the phone from the Naches Ranger district and she told me it was closed, covered with snow and blowdowns! So much for listening to a friendly ranger!

So if I was thinking about meeting up with the Easton camping group (if that's okay with the group) when and where would be the best? I was thinking Sat, maybe Sunday.. Should I ride the sportie or the 4x4..

In my humble opinion, the fast one would be more better. Saturday you would get more riding in. Some folks will leave Sunday, so the ride time is less.

Show up between 8 and 9, breakfast should be done and most riders haven't headed out.

I agree with TP 100%. No need for the ute out there.

Finally caught up on the last few days posts. I know I shouldn't be surprised about the number of pages in a few days, but Geez.

Been moving, moving, moving. Moved my friends out of my driveway and storage units and into their awesome new ranch. Moved my office this weekend. Moving is a pain in the backside, but in both cases, a little organization and willing hands, the work goes easier and faster.

One advantage to having to change schedules is I got a long weekend. Don't start until Tuesday, couldn't have asked for nicer weather. How unusual.
These are the days that make living in the Pacific Northwest so phenomenal.

WQ, Thanks for the invite, I wasn't ignoring you. I will be working however, and trying to make Coos Bay a couple of weeks after that, so count me out on this one.

Kym, I am Tue-Sat dayshift so I might be able to work out Darrington, at least for a couple days. Sounds like fun. Still need to get the Z jetted. Haven't even taken the sand tires off the R since Florence. Today might be a good day to tinker. Maybe after lunch at the casino. BR>
Everyone have a great day.

GOOD Morning , Good Afternoon and Good Night PSAR, I am ready to go back to 16 hours days at work so I can rest up. This weekend has been crazy.

Ok I had a thought (no it didn't hurt)....Bill and I where talking to Tom Fite at stradaline orv park...My thought is a psar week end at the park....We could have exclusive use of the track...and be able to go out and ride the trails too...camp on site and have fun....
The skinny right now is if we pay the insurance the track is ours...we still have to pay the gate fee of $10 but we get half of that back as the "promoters" . so with fifty riders it would be $30 per person or less(the more riders the cheaper it gets)...Insurace runs $500 a day...
we would probably have to provide paramedic(SEAN?)....But Tom said there is ways around it.....I will call an Insurance broker on monday that has underwritten events at the park before.....Tom also said if we get enough riders commited they would open consessions...any feed back on this would be nice for or aginst....They have been doing a lot of work on the trackand it is looking awsome...They will also let us use the dozer for grooming (TP?)...come on guys it could be fun...

Sounds like not only a good idea but a kool way to spend a weekend close to home for the PSAR people. My wife is a Para-medic and my daughter is an EMT (paid professionals, not like Sean, being a firefighterimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> (you know runs into burning buildings ,not out) Sorry Sean, couldn't resist) and can get an ambulance for minimum cost if we do this.

well according to Tom there is no exemption in washington but there is enforcement only to the groups that have members that constantly place themselves in the media in a negitive way....

My question would be "Why would ATV competition events not be exempt for noise regs like all other motor sports competition?" How do they get away with it down by Longview?

well according to Tom there is no exemption in washington but there is enforcement only to the groups that have members that constantly place themselves in the media in a negitive way....

We fly under the radar...........Don't we?????????

Still sounds like rank discrimination to me and is probably illegal if pressed.

good evening PSAR.

Bumblebee update: everything but the tank and lower cowl are in primer. It is coming along nicely (for being ridden everyday) I had to "engineer" the headlamp this morning so I could ride to work without the upper cowl on it. Now it looks like a street fighter (stunt bike)

Sounds like a blast. Count me in if it's on a free weekend!

I've been on that mx track, it was scary, probably 3 yrs ago, it would still be scary to me today. The drag stip was fun though, pretty short, don't know the exact length.

back in 1988, I was one of the first kids on a 80cc bike over the big "pro double"

I remember my dad in tears when I came in from that moto. I had balls as a kid. What happened? I would love to have that RM80 back

Im in.. My brother can run the dozer

A group from the NW Quad riders is coming up from Oregon to ride Capitol Forest the weekend of the 7th thru 9th of July. This is the same bunch I rode with at East Fort Rock/China Hat in May. They have fast and slow riders in their group. They will be camping at Waddell Creek. I will be getting there on thursday AM at the latest (wednesday afternoon if I'm lucky) and try to hold camp sites for those that want them. Anyone interested in riding is invited. If you are gonna camp and want me to try and hold a site let me know.

What works better for the trails, 9 or 10 inch wheels. I have two options for 22", Holeshot XCT or RazrII. I'm currently running XCT 22" on 9" stock rims and have had good luck with them. Fronts are good, just need rear, even though I hate having Holeshots on front and Razr on rear. Any thoughts?

Seems like I've heard that 9" are good for the trail cuz they are T O U G H 'er??? A 10" one will bend easier but maybe I dreamt it img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">

I think there's more rim to bend on the 10's. I bought 9's almost 3 yrs ago because I was using the stock rims. If I get 10's, I have to get new rims, 9's, no new rims, it's just a trail quad.

WOW, what a hot freaking weekend in Richland BR>Made a late trip to Bellingham Friday night to pick up Ash's quad, got home about 1:00 am
Got up next morning and had truck to Torklift by 0800 for a hitch, then run home and take off for Richland.

Ash has pretty much disowned her LT80 now I think....
She loves her new Blaster with YZ80 motor, works shocks, +3 a-arms, durablue axle. img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
Man it scoots and has awsome suspension, nothing she can't jump. More travel that she know what to do with.
She has never really used a clutch, but took the quad for her to ride on the easy stuff over there. She picked up on the shifting stuff pretty quick, so she wanted to race it already, yikes.......
The girl done great though, got the starts down pretty good, still some work to do down shifting.
Now I just need to find a YZ85 motor for a backup img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> since it will bolt right up img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Josh,
Thanks for the phone call Sunday, we missed ya at HR.
Take care and we're still praying for your dad to improve img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
Let me know if you need anything.....
Ken got his Z450 shocks back and he really loved them. He and Aaron both did good.
Ken got a little competitive and rode his tail off, got a little heat exhaustion on his 2nd moto though, yikes.

Bill,
Sorry to hear about your apartment.
I hate seeing that stuff happen to people.
I hope you get things squared away and find another place soon

Randy,
I'm not sure what is wrong, but sure hope you can get Julie on the mend and better.
Hopefully get to meet you guys sometime soon

HappaFishingGuy,
If you head South to Mineral or elsewhere down here, you are welcome stop and throw my boat in your truck. Got a 14' aluminum, it's nice and lightweight though. I might even try and dig ya up some of my secret flies (if I can find 'em) I use at Mineral, Riffe Lake, and Lake Curlew img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> about 2 to 2-1/2 colors out on the ol' leaded line and about 10' of 2 or 4 lb. leader, trolling slow and I usually slay 15"+ (or you can troll a flatfish really slow, my second favorite)img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>

Hey BEAR,

My dad and wife are finally getting to pick up their Kodiak's this week img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
Had to wait for their trailer to arrive.
No riding experience, so I'm gonna take them out just cruising a couple times.
I told him about you and your neck of the woods, maybe this will be a good excuse to hook up again and go ride some of the easier areas you have over your way img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
I think he would enjoy hooking up with you and Mike (tencubed) for some riding.

He has been doing a lot of research since he's bought them. He's talked to just about every Ranger district in Washington. Learned how there is not many good ATV riding spots for all riders in this state. He's looked heavily at Idaho and Montana, and elsewhere. He's planned a 4 day trip to Rye Creek in Montana in July, sounds like a fun spot.

Are you guys ready for another hot day?! Justin and I took the jetski's out last night and went and cruized the marysville/everett slough. We went all the way into Snohomish and floated on the river. Damn that water is cold in the Snohomish. We had fun, and got cooled off at the same time. Looking forward to this weekend we are headed over the mountains, to a cabin on a lake for four days. (can't remember the city name) My neighbor is going Crabbing and getting me some crab to make crab cakes...mmmm those are good!!!

Sean, all is well (so far as one can be being burned out of ones home) and the insurance aduster showed up with a check yesterday morning to make sure I had a place to live and something to eat (promo for Mutual of Enumclaw)

for everyone else......you may have read about the 3 alarm apartment fire in University Place...Yup, I lived there.
the Fire started at the other end of my building about 6Am Saturday morning. While the Fire dept. was busy saving my side of the building the fire Jumped to the buildinf going the other way (3 building in a horseshoe shape with attached attics and common walls)

Although I haven't been let back in the Apt (other than to get some clothes) it appears I'm one of about 3 apartments (of 35) that is mostly intact. real minor water and smoke damage. the clothes I grapped didn't have any smoke smell to them at all, I credit that to the bedroom door being shut with the window open. the rest of the apt has the smoke and water.

I'm staying with Hondablue (cutie wants me to make sure he stays out of trouble while she and the boys are in California )

as far as the apt, it's just stuff (that is insured), but I hope most everything will be recoverable. I'll find out today or tomorrow when I get back in

till later

Bill, I haven't heard anything about that. Sorry to hear that i hope all of you stuff is replaced. I'm sure it must be hard losing stuff, but just remember us PSAR members are always here to help. Take care, and keep us informed.

Sean, let me know when they want to ride. I can do something most days.

Well unfortunatly, it may be the only solution beside blindness, The ulceration is on the backside of her cornea and it's swelled very painful and can't be repaired. Not all surgeons think that way, this is looked at as a last resort,

but hey thanks for your thoughfull comments

Sweet, have fun out there, should be a beautiful day on the lake. Sometime next month we'll be heading to Mineral Lake for a weekend, maybe Silver Lake also. I haven't been fishing in some years, really miss it. Camp and fish all the lakes I used to frequent for the day trips.
