At one point they were not sure if she would lose her eye or not. They have saved her eye but she may still have a permanent vision loss in the eye, and scar tissue at the very least. They can't tell us for sure what caused it, but it may be something she was using with her contacts. We have been having to put 3 different kinds of medication in her eye every hour on the hour day and night two different kinds of special drops and a paste. She goes back in today at 11:00 am again for some kind of procedure. Monday they had to scrape her eye to remove the fungus and she is in a great deal of pain. They said yesterday that there was a slight improvment so she is responding to the meds. It kills me to see her hurting so bad and there's nothing I can do to help her. To add insult to injury the focking insurance company is not paying for the special meds as they are compounded and non formulary. Poor thing, she has a nasty sinus infection to boot so she's double miserable. I'll keep everone posted as to how she's doing.

This is serious stuff. Showed this to my wife and she was saying that when she worked in a hospital they would see this kind of problem from time to time. Particularly bad when there is a sinus infection along with the eye problems because of the ease of cross contamination. They had to use extream measures to keep the cross contamination down and were constantly cautioning the person not to touch their face. Kept them from touching their eye and nose/mouth. She says some folks would respond to antibiotics well and others not. Very painful and can be really difficult to heal up. Good news is that nearly all of the cases she saw had very good outcomes but the recovery was slow. Wife also mentioned that Julie may also want to be tested for boarderline diabetes problems as this can really contribute to this problem. Also, many of the cases she saw were using long wear contacts.

We'll keep you in our prayers, keep us posted on how things are going.

Angie, she did use Renu, we heard about it(the recall) from her eye doctor and were told to bring in what she was using. It wasn't the same exact product as what was recalled but they are testing it anyway. She does use the longwear contacts but when she can start using them again she has been instructed to no longer sleep with them in.

WT, the insurance has no problem with the doctors visits and med care, it's the non formulary perscriptions that they won't pay for. We are raising hell with them about it though as it should just be a higher co-pay for non formulary drugs and compounds as it's listed right on here perscription card that there is a tierd co-pay schedule
for generic non generic and the highest copay for non formulary.

Randy - this is Val...

Tell Julie we are so sorry to hear all the pain she is going thru, I remember in talking to her when she started feeling bad at the dunes how she thought it was just sinuses but never had a clue it would turn out like this. Hugs to you both and hopefully the meds will do their thing quickly without perm damage.

Take care,
Val

I don't think the Renu solution i was using wasn't the same exact product either. But i didn't want to take the chances. I don't wear my contacts when i sleep. She should look into the disposable contacts.

hola PSAR!

Randy, give yer gurl best wishes from the posse. Sorry to hear about her eye problems.

Posted by: RaptorRandy27

Hey all, Julie just got out of the eye doctors and she showed some more improvment today. Monday she could not read the big "E" at the top of the eye chart, today she can read the 2nd line down so all the medicated drops and salve they have her using seem to be working. They did perscribe some stronger pain meds and some anti inflamitorys as her eye lid is still really swelled up. She gets to rest untill Friday before any more poking and prodding, so things are looking a little better.

Thanks again for the well wishes, your a great bunch of people.

Randy

It's very good to hear that she is getting some improvement. It's never a good thing when you starting to lose eye sight. I scratched my eye on sunday, i tried for an hour to get my contact out got so frustrated i went to bed. Woke up the next morning and my contact was laying on the bathroom counter and my eye sight was all messed up. So for this whole week i'm taking a break from my contact for that eye. Let me tell you things are very blurry. when i'm on the computer i have to close the blurry eye, just to see what i'm doing. LOL

Posted by: RealtorRider

Randy, Glad to hear Julie's doing better, I pray for the best

Take care of her (as I know you will)

Posted by: TractorPacker

Like the others, sorry to hear and glad the news is good. Tell her you'll wear a bag over your mug, if thats why she is doing this.

I got a question for you computer people or you 700 owners. Justin had to bring his 700 over to his buddy's house to download the PCIII onto his quad. Before we went to St A's 2 people that went with us went and bought 700's also. Justin took one of the 700's over to his buddy's house where he got his down at and the computer wouldn't download it. They had to use a different computer. Then just acouple of weeks ago they brought the 3 700 over and tried to download and it again would not download onto the quad. Now my question is, can you only download one PCIII software to one computer? I hope that makes since. Basically do you have to use a different computer for each 700? The third 700 is still not downloaded and he is thinking about just going and getting a very long cord so he can put the cord out the window to his quad. LOL (computers upstairs)

Happy Thursday all.

I just found out that a small group of us are going to Moses this weekend. Anybody and everybody is more than welcome to come. I'm sure it will be a slow ride as Tp's bro is going and we have to keep him on a short leash while riding.

Wing i know you were talking about going, you guys still in?

We will be camping at the big gravel pit as usual.

The pc3 should have a 9v adapter so you can unplug it from the bike and bring it inside (short cord)

We will be unable to go this weekend. I was informed that we had to go to Alida's Graduation on Fathers Day. I thought that Fathers Day was about the Dad, not the kid. She has some nerveBR>
Our next ride will be Easton on the Forth of July Weekend.

I would still like to go, but it looks like I will be the only one. Rancher is hideing behind his wife skirt and hanging me out to dry.

Rancher I think it would be better for you to stay home on the 1st and then come out on the 2nd. Your not supposed to celebrate the day after your anniversery. And it might help you out in the long run!

I don't care what campsite I am in, so if wingy want to use that one for his friends, just relocate me !

You can down load maps to any PCIII USB from any PC running the latest Power Commander software.
I do reccommend you have windows 2000 or XP as the OS as Win9X USB funconality leaves a lot to be desired.

First thing to try is to have the quad sitting there running before you plug in the USB cord and then open the Power Commander software, if you don't you will get an error msg.
Then you should be able to open the map file from your PCIII folder on your hard drive select the desired map and then click send map. That's how it works for me and I've done it on Multiple 700R's from my Laptop.

Then you should be able to open the map file from your PCIII folder on your hard drive select the desired map and then click send map. That's how it works for me and I've done it on Multiple 700R's from my Laptop.

Justin was saying that they were getting some error msg when they tried to send it. That's probably what they did wrong. I will let Justin know. Now what exactly does the 9v adaptor do? does it store then software on the adaptor then you bring the adaptor down tot the quad and load it on that way?

They had to use a different computer. Then just acouple of weeks ago they brought the 3 700 over and tried to download and it again would not download onto the quad. Now my question is, can you only download one PCIII software to one computer? I hope that makes since. Basically do you have to use a different computer for each 700? The third 700 is still not downloaded and he is thinking about just going and getting a very long cord so he can put the cord out the window to his quad. LOL (computers upstairs)

The pc3 should have a 9v adapter so you can unplug it from the bike and bring it inside (short cord)

Removing the PCIII is a major PITA to do once it is installed on the quad. I used my 9V adaptor one time when I first got the PCIII before I installed it. USB Cord to the PCIII and quad running is the easiest way to do it.
They need to make a quick release harness for the Power Commander for people that don't have lap tops or long azzed USB cords. I would rather take a beating than pull the PCIII of the quad every time I wanted to play with the map.

You can down load maps to any PCIII USB from any PC running the latest Power Commander software.

No, all the 9V adapter is is a power source to preload a map on the PCIII via the usb cable from the computor prior to installing it on the quad.

I just talked to Justin and i told him exactly what you said. He said that they might of had the cord plugged in before starting the quad. He said thanks for all the info, on helping him download these quads. BR>

June 24th im gonna take a ride on the Naches Trail. It&39;s located in Greenwater off highway 410. It&39;s about an hour drive from Renton. It&39;s a historic trail that goes from western Washington to eastern Washington. I think all the snow should be gone buy now. It&39;s a muddy, rocky, rutted trail. Some sections can be kinda steep. The trail goes through open alpine meadows and deep forests. If you have a 4x4 machine you won&39;t have any trouble. A sport machine will be more of a challange. PM me if you wanna go. This thread moves too fast for me to keep up.

You must have me confused with someone else. I pull a tiny flatbed with a clapped out 93' ford. The wife and I slept on Kym's flatbed, that Jayna towed, on an air mattress, under a pop up at Florence last October. Then TP and RG felt sorry for us and gave us shelter and hotcakes BR>

Owens (cle elum) has some really good aged and smoked meats,,,brats, bacon, jerky and so on. Double D is more of a full service butcher shop with a huge selection of any type of BBQ sauce you can imagine. I cant leave that place without spending $100.

its at 232nd and 56th in mountlake terrace in a plaza behind a Shell station

Hey all, well Julie had a setback today. The cornea specialist says that the improvement that we thought we were seeing is minimal at best and the Antibiotics that they compounded are not doing the job like they had hoped. They could not get anything to grow in the culture they took so they don't know what they are dealing with yet other than it's some type of rare, serious infection, either fungus or ameba. They Scraped her eye again and are sending cultures to the UW lab to see if they can get some answers. She is on the strongest antibiotics they have for eye infections. Monday Morn at 8:30 we go back to the cornea specialist again and Julie may end up having to go down to the UW for a biopsy. Right now she says she's not in near as much pain as before as they numbed her eyeball up pretty good so she is resting comfortably for now. Now we wait and hope for the best.

Every cut of beef from top sirloin to rib eye is the same price per pound. Right now I believe it is $5.89 per pound. Some of the best rib eye's you'll ever have, about an inch+ thick. Great T-bones and Porterhouses too! Oh, and their rib roasts are great on the bbq!

Maybe I can talk Happa into taking a ride tomorow and picking somethng up for the new grill we bought and haven't used yet Rib Eyes are my fav.......

I pray that the docs can figure out what it is so they can treat it and cure it for her.

Randy- I agree with Rod, so sorry to hear about Julie's setback...what the heck can this stuff be that has attacked her this bad? Hopefully they find out very soon and have some good news for both of you.

Hugs and prayers....

There's nothing that hasn't already been said... We're sorry to hear they don't know what it is. Julie has been in our thoughts and we're pulling for her.

Like Rod said, you need anything, just say the word.

Yeah and then they do feed. I was attacked by hummingbird about 2 years ago in Colorado I have scars from them little phuckers, and they are to fast to take a swing at belive me. Wild think it is funny, I want to take him back to colorado and throw him in a swarm of 20 or more, he will change his tune. Hummingbirds are evil.

Hey everyone........(Hondablue) Josh's Father had a heart attack thursday night (friday morning?) and he is east of the mountains. My understanding is his father had a quadruple bypass today (friday) and is in recovery. I do not know his status other than Josh is at his brothers house for tonight in Moses Lake. His dad, (from Moses Lake) is in the Wenatchee hospital

Josh, I'll be having breakfast in Leavenworth about 8 if you are in the area (my treat) I'm floating the Wenatchee at 10am

Your Father is in my Prayers

I try REAL hard NOT to get involved in POLITICS................

Some people need a union to keep GREEDY business owners from raping the hell out of their hard work and dedication towards their work.........

It works for you Rod (not being in a union) cause YOU can make the rules that work for YOU.........
Please DON'T be so quick to judge what other people need........ Sorry just my 2 pennys worth BR>

I'm a real mugwump on the union issue. Been on both sides of strikes, locked out as union labor and locked in as part of the management team keeping the plant running. Been a union local president, shop steward and on bargaining teams for both union and management. It really depends on the size of the operation and the attitude of the company involved. We have had a couple of unions that wanted to organize people that worked for us, our employees told them to
