Good afternoon PSAR.
Sounds like most of the folks going to the dunes have left. Hope they have a great time with good weather and safe rides.
Got back to Seattle just after noon today after four days at the farm. Great weather and got a lot done but more remodeling to do yet. Managed to get the new cabinitry in the bathroom finished except for the P-Lam top. SWMBO has to pick the color so I can order it. Rode the quads some with the kids, always fun.
OFC, saw your comments on the horses and hay. Don't like those big bales huh. Some of the bigger ones run way to heavy to move without machinery for sure. Better stock up on what you need if you buy any hay. Russian aphid has invaded and the price is going to go up.
Boys will be boys for sure but it's gratifying to see parents, and uncles, stepping up to the plate and acting like a family raising a man-to-be. Way to many kids would have been sent home on the quad and no more would have been said or done. Hats off to good parenting from this old man.
Bear: I'm going to be around for the next couple of weeks, think we could get a ride set up? Anyone else wanting to go with the, apparently named, We-Be-Quads slow patrol?

I like the big bales and have mochines to move them. I don't like little bales that i have to move by hand.. Luckily our horse hay is grown by a family friend. and the price is what it costs him to make his hay with a lil profit. not market price Orchard solid 90+ lb orchard bales at 3 bucks from inside the barn Is a dam good deal Check those in the feed store your lookin 9 - 14 bucks. maybe more. I don't goto feed store to often.
rounds of orchard are 25 bucks. and way easier to deal with.

Yep running the kobelco 120, in the land of 200+ hoes. The phat kid is workin his butt off, ok, fore arms. I'm throwing stumps to the chipper guy. Keeps him from walking. The chipper is the highest dollar an hour unit we own.
If the chipper is down, its bad. It went down, yesterday and still is sick. The computer is messed up and won't hold a .5 amp fuse. I am glad I am not looking for that short.

He's clobbered the plastics enough on the black preddy to where they don't fit right anymore. Pulled the fasteners through the plastic and broken the front plastics.

Most expensive fuel I bought was for one of my RC airplanes. Stuff was nitro, alcohol and oil. Fourtyfive a gallon but it worked soooo nice.

I never ran other than 100LL AV gas and never had a problem. I tried some of the Union 76 racing stuff once and the boat was no faster so why spend the extra dollars was my response. I knew several of the guys just ran premium pump gas and fatten the jets. The pros on the television curcuit had the kind of money to throw at racing gas, but 2 strokes act like supper charged motors and don't seem to need the super octane stuff. Back in the dark ages there was an AV gas called "Purple" (it was dyed purple) for the big radial airplane motors with 115/145 octane numbers. Or 130 using todays method. I had a pretty much unlimited supply of it while racing cars but we had to cut the stuff on a 1 to 1 basis with Chevron premium (even back then it was unleaded) because of the vast amount of lead in the straight 115/145 cause spuratic plug fouling. My 11.5:1 compression was enough to utilize the 115/145 anyway. I gave about 50 gallons to a couple of guys with 14:1 cars and it helped them. But alas the days of 115/145 are gone now that the military no longer has piston airplanes with massive radial engines.

Got a late start this AM, must be catching up on the sleep I missed the past few days. Dog and I out walking and got to watch the local Police drag some gang banger types out of a car and haul them off. For those interested Eddieville and Starvation Ridge race tracks over by Goldendale are doing well, talked to Scott, the owner, and he says it looks good for the future. Several of the folks that were against having tracks in the area have seen that the people attending the events are primarily family groups and working folks. Lots less resistance in the community now. Great place to go for quad races or fun days. Really good writeup in the local paper which is a big thing over there.
Gotta go get some parts for the sprayer, gonna kill the stuff around the house so I don't have to use a weedwhacker. I hates yard work.

SWMBO gets a little uptight when I fill the tank sprayer on the quad. Seems her idea of "weeds" and mine don't always mesh up just even. I figure if it's green and in an area I can't mow real easy it's a weed and needs to die. Somehow her views are a bit different. Go figure!

Thanks for the update Mike, that's great to hear. I love the track over there. As a matter of fact, we'll be there July 8th and 9th for a quad only race img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">hr>
I ask Scott if he had had any major problems with people who visited the tracks and he was well pleased with the situation over all. Always a minority that gives some problems but few and far between. One thing he was really concerned about was the lack of feedback from the people using the facilities. He really wants everyone to have a good experiance at the tracks and wants to know what people like or don't like about the tracks, pits and all the other things. Scott is very accessable and can be contacted at the "Over The Bars Gang" website. If you get a chance talk to him in person. He makes a good friend.

Our Corgi visits with folks where my wife, shes a nurse, works. Facility for those with limited capabilities both mental and physical. He tends to calm the clients down and causes smiles. He also visits at a few other places to spend some time with people that are unable to leave their homes. Got a couple more stops to make later today. I sometimes think he does as much for the cartakers as for the clients.

Good afternoon everyone. I hope everyone is having a good weekend.
I am working on Jenna's Preddy and of course something is wrong with it. It making a wierd noise, like a crackiling(SP) / grinding sound. I have the front end pulled of but cannot find anything. It also does not make the sound all the time. It may even be coming from the engine, but I doubt it.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appriciated.
I am getting ready to head to the dealer and order a stem, bars and thumb throttle box.

In case anyone here is interested I just put a new, part of it not even unpacked to look at, Bacharach Monoxor II carbon monoxide detector and calibration kit on Craigslist. Asking $500 for this unit, bought it for $750 a couple of years ago and then retired from the HVAC trade. Anyone here can take another $50 off if you can use it. Would consider all or part trade for toys. Don't need techie stuff to work with anymore.
