When we were running the HVAC/R business I drove a step van as a service rig. Built on a 3/4 ton Chev chassis it had a really heavy rear bumper and big hitch for pulling equipment trailers. Four different times some DA rammed this big white box from the rear and each time I was at a dead stop for a light or stop sign. Damage to the cars ranged from major to tottaled. The best one occured in a parking lot at a grocery store. I was creaping over a hugh speedbump and when the rear tires came down off this minor mountain there was an ominous bang and crunch sound. DA number five had put the front of his little Mazda under the rear bumper. Had to get a wrecker to pick up the van prior to pulling the car loose. Guy driving the car said I had backed into him and his wife swore it was true. Cop didn't buy it and neither did the insurance company. How can you miss the back end of a van body that's seven feet wide and nearly nine feet tall?

TC there are so many DA's on the road is unreal. I see thousands of them everyday

Wow, lots of stuff to catch up on.
Sounds like the walking and not so walking wounded list is getting longer. At this rate by the end of the summer Bear and I will be the fastest riders around. BR>
Hope all you injured folks heal up quick.
Bear: I'm home for just a couple of days and left the quad at the farm, be another week to 10 days before I get back over this way. Did get the 250 starter problem solved, dirty battery terminals.

So true! Saw the results of one today over near E-burg. DA had, for no apparent reason that I could see, left the road and mowed/plowed about a half acre of sagebrush. Cops, wrecker and, apparently, driver were inspecting the scene when I went by.

Not as good as that first batch, but very drinkable. A little heavy on the brown sugar, so added sticks to the bottles, to help bring the sweetness down. I'll give you a sample.

I'll come over and kill em and we can cook em up if you like.. Them birds are quite tasty
Electrons have an amazing effect. Get the critter real wet and make sure the ground is real wet around the fence and throw em in the fence a couple times so the know the fence kicks their butt. and walla. the metal gates on the dog yard have switches to turn the electrons on aswell. keeps people out and dogs in

Uhmmm. If Rico is a dog just run one of those "Invisable Fence" things around the yard and your good to go. They work even better if you use steel electric fence wire mounted on insulators along the top of the fence instead of digging the special wire into the ground. Extends the range by double. Got a neighbor I would like to put a collar on. hr>
I might just do that, there goes my exahst System though

I am very much an animal guy. and its no BS my friend. Electrons are far more human than a car or truck flattening them on the road. Id rather shock em and teach em a lesson. its quick. I wouldn't impose anything on my critters i wouldn't take myself.. Ive been shocked by the fence more times than i can count and hit with cattle prods. It aint no thang..

I hear ya, I feel the same way I was just givin' ya chit. He has never ran off he just jumps the fence to get to me. He&39;s has some separation anxiety issues I am still working on. Plus he still has his nuts, I think I will cut em off here in the near future. We took in our neighbors German Sheppard too and she is almost 9 great dog and real mellow. She is the kind that if you forgot about her out front she would still be sitting on the porch in the morning. I am hoping she will teach him a few tricks and settle him down a bit.

Bear, I got rid of my Harley and race cars when I got married. It's been so long since I was one of the "fast guys" I can't even remember. Oh, wait, spent some time as a Deputy Sheriff. Had a 65 Dodge Cornet with a Hemi in it. Now that little car was fast. Course with the way this group is going we can be "fast" by default.

I've been faster than most of them too and I did it on the water and on land (428 CobraJets and 427 "Kick Chevy butt" Fords). But I, like you are into survival and fast on a quad is not a good way to do that. I can live with default fastest.

Bring your Haulers with you so you can try your 700 with the different tires. See which ones you like the best.
What tires do you run at the dunes rod?
20" 8 paddle Haulers

20" 8 paddle Haulers
That's exactly what I'm looking at. Everyone tells me 22" x 11" x 8" but I love my 20" sandstars so I think I'm going to try out a set of 20" eight paddle haulers

I'll bring the Haulers, if you beat me with my Sandstars, I'll put on the Haulers, of course I discovered one is taller than the other, ( had to replace one, they're a mismatched set, 1" difference in height ) so I would be at a disadvantage with them also. That's probably why I lost to you in the past at the dunes

You just have to request that feature when ordering. Its sompin like a 30 spot if I remember Jorge's words, although I could have fouled up the translation. I don't speak, or understand Jorge's Spanglish very well.

Got my nerfs from the brown truck for the 450 yesterday. The black ones even. Even got more than half my skids in. The only one I am waiting for now is the swingarm, but shouldn't need to worry about that in the dunes. I might even get a chance to work on getting it all installed today. Haven't been able to get anything done lately.

After 20 years of doing this job, some things just never get easier.
Went on a call at 0300 this morning. Guy with emphysema having a really hard time breathing. Hasn't had any problems in years.
Was talking to us, then coded (died) right in front of us.
Worked on him for over 1/2 hour with no luck, didn't respond to anything we did.
He died right there.
His wife and son were home.
Just another reminder to live life the best we can each and every day.
Love our families, and tell them so.
Have and keep great friends, just like all the folks on here.
Anyway, everybody have a great weekend.

Good afternoon PSAR.
Managed to get the landscaping project done prior to the downpour that hit here around 1:00 PM. What a storm, must have dropped an inch of water in about ten min.
Fellows, it is possible to do a yard project right the first time! I put in the weed control fabric, lined the area with the old, read as "weathered", fenceposts from the farm, had the barkdust delivered and SWMBO liked the first attempt. Bout fell off the deck. Now just have to bring over an old footburner to finish off the junk setting in the "display" and it's done. Less than 3 hours total and I'm a hero. What a deal!
OFC your one of the few here in the Metro area that knows not to overfeed a horse I do believe. I see all these potbellied hayburner yard pets standing around with hoves grown way out, manes and tails untrimmed and Bot fly eggs all over their front quarters. Makes me sad that they are being ruined and even killed with "kindness" by apparently well meaning owners. We are keeping fewer horses all the time and use quads more and more in their place. Some ways I am sorry to see the horses go but the economics and productivity issues can not be ignored. Owners like you that know not to grain and overfeed a horse will also take care of all the other stuff that needs to be done. I'm glad you enjoy being around the beasts but for me I think the quads are the way to go.

I agree, he can get that post count back in no time, if that's important to him.
Not a bad idea. The count don't mean that much to me like it does for you post ho's. I just enjoy chattin with you guys, winning in post count isn't everything. There are better things to win at; like SAND DRAGS!!!

Who wants to go for a morning ride tomorrow (up north)?
Why does everybody always have to ride up north? hr>

Probably a fuel issue, I think they come south when an Oregon trip isn't planned in the near future.
I was at Tahuya just over a month ago and haven't ridden but 45 minutes since then.
I still need a break-in ride on my quad.

That's funny, the old fence was up when that picture was taken, along with some hedges that are no longer there. I do see my old blue truck in the driveway though.

Here's a question about my haulers.
I have a mismatched set, one is newer than the other, rollout is differenct on both, one's alittle taller, 1" than the other.
What effect will that have when riding or racing?
Should I just not be concerned about the difference?

Put 20# of air in the one thats smaller. Set it outside on a HOT day and let it cook..........
If that doesn't work then go back to my first suggestion.......LOL

South on I-5 to just around Springfield, OR. Go west on Belt Line Hiiway. This will take you to Hiway 126. Turn right (west). This will take you to Florence. At the main light in Florence turn left (south) on Hiway 101 and go south for about 7 miles. You will come to a sign that says Siltcoos Beach Recreation area. Turn right. The Driftwood II campground is down this road on the right. There is no sign on Hiway 101 that says Driftwood II campground. Just Siltcoos Beach

If you have the free version of Google Earth the pictures are about 4 years old. If you have the version you have to pay for, the pictures are up to date!

REVERSE LIMITER..........I looked at the wiring schematic. When the quads in forward motion the reverse switch is grounded. When in reverse the switch is opened for the CDI to do it's job (REV LIMITER) img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">
I found the terminal on the CDI and put the wire back into the CDI block, GROUNDED it and WALA I have a motor that runs on 4 strokes now instead of 8 strokes. hr>
I knew that was gonna be a bridge to cross. I'm glad I could help

The only way I would pay for the service is if you could zoom in without it getting blurry. Does that change with the pay version?
