It's not under warranty, I have it all torn down and have narrowed it down to a broke wire between the angle sensor and the ECU. (I think) The display flashes 12 times which means the error code of Bad ECU I can swap them between the two quads and it is the same deal so the ECU is good. Half way to the ECU the wires enter the main wiring housing which is a gaggle about 2 inches in diameter. I am afraid if I tear into that I will cause more damage than I already have. Any gurus on here wanna take a shot be my guest. I am a mechanical guy not an electrician.

So you think you have a short in there? thats no big deal. pull the whole wiring harness off the quad and open int up. then getsome of that wire loom crap and wrap it back up after you find the bad spot

Oh man, interesting weekend at Horn Rapids.
Weather was good.
The track looked awsome and lots of fun. We will definately go back next month.
Nice table tops, only a couple doubles. A fast and really nice track I thought.
Ash's quad literally fried the front clutch, never seen something melt like that. Didn't race the LT
Hay's locked up the rear end, didn't race the main. (although she had already decided to not race due to other stuff going on)
Ash ran the 250ex on the track. Man she was gonna tear it up out there. She was doing great on that thing, launching and airing it out really good.
Things came to a halt when one of the women with us wadded it up pretty good.
Ended up with 2 broken wrist.........Broke very bad, both requiring surgery.
The docs in Richland missed the broken knee and two broken ribs img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0">
Never took x-rays even though she was complaining about both.
they casted a swollen broken wrist, that swole up more and pushed the bone through her skin img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0"> duh !!!!
Ash didn't do the womens main, Hay didn't do her main either (good thing cause hers would have locked up on her)
Atta girls to my girls. Racing came second this weekend to helping those in need.
They were worried about Rene', and helping get loaded up.
Ken (dsxbear) was there also.
Great to see you again.
Thanks a bunch for all your help. With Ash's quad and helping load up both camps img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
He did great on the track racing.....
I got pictures to prove it img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>He gave me his camera and let me take some pics of him, I think I got some decent ones for him.
Look forward to seeing ya at the next one. BTW, we won't make it to Washougal, gotta work

Dude this thing is full of nothing but wires and conector's everywhere. Full Auto / ESP / HondaMatic Tranny / 2wd /4wd / lights / display I have 16 Conectors on the front above the radiator alone. I get confused just looking at it. I wish I had an engine problem then I would already be rollin.

I think I've also decided on my next qwad img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
OK, no thinking, I've decided img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>
Ken let me pilot around his Suzuki 450 img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">BR>Although I only took it for a short ride, I'm sold on it....Hands down....
Nice ride, nice power, stable, comfy, great suspension, easy to turn.....Just awsome.
5th gear pinned down the dragstrip was a freaking hoot img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
Did some sweeping turns, tight turns......man that thing slid right around really nice.
I would probably even race it in the wussie class at Horn Rapids, that track looks fun and pretty easy for novice folks.
I can hardly wait.........
Anybody want to buy a Rincon img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
Oh wait, nevermind, I need that for the trails

Just b/c you can take things apart doesn't make you a mechanic. You have to be able to fix the problem and then put everything back together that makes you a mechanic. And I am glad that you said that you aren't an electrician, b/c you had a hard time reading the wireing diagram.
Hey bring the vinson too, incase your honda takes a dump while you are out there.

Not sure where it is on the Rancher, but should be up front somewhere.
Should be easy to replace, we did it on a buddies Recon.
Unlug old one, plug in new one...
Should be able to find a diagram online to show you where that sensor is.
You could try Hinshaws if you want to drive that far.
I've heard good things from others I know, but I've personally not had service there.
good Luck.....

Oh no, no more moving for me (hopefully). 2 moves in 2 years blows goats. I think this one is it. I do have some stuff i gotta get from Boise. Not really moving more like collecting (air tools, antique china set and some vintage motorbikes). don't know where i'm gonna put it all, gotta a 2 car garage that barely has enough room for the wifes Subaru.

The Angle Sensor itself is on the left hand side of the engine down low right above the belly plate. I have already swaped it with the other quad so the Angle Sensor itself is not the problem it is a short / break in the wire's between the angle sensor and the ECU.

So your gonna leave it to my midgit to bump me and then try to break my other leg before I get out of the holes. It is just fun to pick on you about your quad. its okay. I will make it a point to cut you off while we are riding on a long straight away just to leave the taste of sand in your mouth.

You will either get a workout by having to walk from the back of the parking lot so you can actually have space to take up two spots , or you can piss everyone off and take 2-3 spots and park up front!

It's called a 3 point turn to get into a parking spot and I do park way out in the lot and take two spots the long way.
My truck is too tall to fit in the garage, that and my garage is taken up by 5 quads!

So the new R450 is designed to not slip off the top of the sand trail at the bottom of tree shoots? That's cool planning by Suzuki!BR>
The water part will be no problem because I understand you've already shown that it floats.

Yes it does! I do believe in breaking it in like I am going to ride it right from the get-go. If it's going to wuss out, I would rather do it under warranty than when it's on my dime. Besides, I couldn't stand that half throttle stuff for 10 or 20 whole hours. Heck, I can go through a whole lot of fuel/hours/miles in that period of time at WOT.

Uhm nope, you can cut a piece out of mine, and weld it into yours, though.

pretty much,,,except for some portions of my face
my right arm went limp for about an hour,,,,,,came back on the way to the hospital
more scared at this point than anything
325mg of aspirin a day for now
been trying to jump thru hoops with our sorry azz doctors and hospitals in order to get some more tests done
they suspect my coratid artery has some restriction

4 of my cousins work at that hospital and one family friend. 1 is the OR nurse and the other ones help out where need be. I have really never liked that hospital due to the fact how they treated my grandpa and grandma when they were dieing. My cousins always had to go and get stuff for them because the doctors and nurses are idiots.
I hope you feel better, you are kind of young to have a stroke! You might want to go to a different hospital to get a second oppion. Take care Bing!

That is sent out. He can profit off your parts for less then you taking them to a machine shop. He does so much with one company, he gets a fat break. You will pay maybe 10 bucks over his cost, and they are in Mukilteo.

Some of you wanted to ride the Naches Trail but it never happened before the snow came. I went up there last week with a buddy. There is still about a feet of snow at the top maybe more. We aired down our tires and rode all the snowmobile trails. I tried to get up one of the trail entrances at the bottom where there isn&39;t any snow. It&39;s a white knuckle hill climb with loose rocks the size of melons, and deep ruts. My skid plates had a good workout. I only made it about 1/4 the way up before I got high centered. The trail entrance is much easer towards the top. I would guess in mid-end of June the trail would be fully accessible. If any of you would like to go let me know. We could set up a Saturday or Sunday to ride it.

Hurry up and get laid off. You can hold down the other end of the couch for me.I have 2 more weeks of keeping the tivo cleaned out.
On the seriuos side, sorry to hear about that. Hopefully you can get a new position, on days or something.
Thanks, I was kinda looking forward to the shift change, too. I probably won't know anything more in two weeks. Not only do they like to leave us hanging, but I am union so they actually have to plan out how to lay us off. Guess we'll just have to break you again when I know more. BR>
On the upside (if there is one) being union may or may not help. I might have some options to stay in the company, even if they offer a package. Unfortunately, it might mean displacing someone with less seniority. I am hoping they either pull their collective heads out and realize that there operational costs are going to skyrocket with this move(Fat Chance) and/or they create positions for us in the region on the same pay level. I am not sure I will be holding my breath for the union to actually stand up for us. Nothing to do but wait now.
I am still going to Florence, come hell or high water. Gonna try to make Easton, too.

This sucks I hope it all works out for YOU!!! Are they m oving ALL of it to Cali??? Or just your department??

I grew up racing horses with my dad and gpa and seeing something happen like that is scary. We had to put one of our horses down from the same exact injury.

I would stay away from trinity--- they make big HP claims and seldom deliver.
If you have a mind to send your stuff to a big name builder I would go with Kenz cycle tech.

I checked On-Dunes and they have a 690 kit but when you read about it it is a 687cc. But it is like $2000 and trinity was $1150. On-dunes wants me to drop it off in Jefferson OR, wouldn't really work out for me b/c I rarely go that way, except when I am going to Florence!
I forgot to mention I can't wait for florence.

If that is not enough, you could go on this special weight loss program
when that isn't enough, drastic measures
