We will bolt on the 24 rear gear for tracks like Hannegan and Castle Rock. It paired up with a 19 tooth countershaft gear and a 65 pound pilot should be interesting about a half lap into it BR>
For the smaller tracks/ indoor stuff, I would use it with an 11 or 12 tooth counter gear.

You would use a 24 when it is too big of a gap between 12 & 14/26. 12/24 could prove to fill the gap just right between them.

I found a set of Gecko's on Douglas .125's for $115 they are out of 21x11x9 so I'm going w/ 21x11x8 does anyone see a problem w/ that?????

Those 2 pattern wheels are old Suzuki friendly. I might be wrong on a model or 2, but all that I have seen are 130x4 and then the pattern everyone else uses. I have had 2 different sets and both were 130x4 and tehn Honda or yamaha.

I forgot, the main camping area is closed in February, the two parking lots are for camping, first come, first serve, of course you could venture out on the sand and camp.

The campground is also open year round ( according to the web site) they just don't take reservations in the winter.
I'm sure it will be a zoo there that weekend. I would much rather drive the 2 hours further for the Florence dunes. Not enough variety at Sand Lake for me to make the trip worth it. JMO

My thoughts exactly, I can get bored riding at SL in a couple of hours and every time I've been there the sand has been rough. I just don't care for the place that much. If the weathers good I'll be in Florence on Presidents day weekend. I'll be staying at the park Motel in Florence.

Out here in Maple Valley, the wind is usually pretty fierce. But not this time so far. I think its cuz the wind came from the south west instead of off the mountains. They are saying theres 140,000 without power and Tuesday is when they should be back online. Bummer. If power goes out here, No Problem. Generator is ready and I stocked up on aluminum foil to build an antenna if need be. Im thinking something along the lines of the panels that the international space station uses should pull in some sort of radio signal.

Sandbeach campground opens in March for camping.

Camping at Sandlake it very nice, spacious sites, it's a great place for somebody who doesn't ride very much, it's a nice easy ride to the beach and it's the closest southern riding area. I agree, it tends to be alittle rougher than the windy places and is not the best for jumping, but, I'll make a couple of trips there this summer BR>

WOW easy on the Sand Laker's some of us choose to go there!! Bronco owners, past and present, or whoever might have a suggestion:

Seems I've developed alittle leak where the seam is between the sheet metal cab and rear section on top, the water is running down the right side behind the panel, by the speaker. When you take the top off, is there just a rubber seal that needs to be replaced? It's not a huge amount of water, but enough to get the carpet wet.

The passenger seat, carpet and panels are out on the right side, should I just take the top off and replace that seal?

The leak is not running down the passenger door panel, but the panel behind the passenger seat, any thoughts?

I wouldn't put sealant there, though I've never owned a bronco... If you want to take the top off in the future, I would think you'll have to clean it and re-apply. Might be more of a hastle in the future.

Have you had the top off? If you have, the seal might be twisted a little or have some debris in it.

Never had the top off, I cleaned the track out, pine needles and such, and poured water on the seal from a jug, a few minutes later, alittle water was running down the seam on the inside. I really don't plan on taking the top off during the summer in the future.

That thing is a freaking little ripper, Have a few minor mechanical issues and got some tuning to do, but that thing is sweet.

I need to hire a full time mechanic to learn me. Had issues I had no idea how to fix or troubleshoot. (Carb adjustments, not getting enough fuel and dying, etc...etc..)
Oh well I guess................

I put a CT pipe on Hayleys stock LT and adjusted the clutches a little, wow that thing sure woke upimg src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
Sluggish off the bottom, not very good holeshot though, but once it kicks in, she's scoots along well.

Ashley is hanging with and giving the others a run for their money now, some GREAT bumper to bumper racing between 3 of them this weekend. If it weren't for the carb issue (almost dying at the bottom end in the corners) she would have had a great chance to pass them. She was also running stock supsension that held her back a lot img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> (she is torked at me for letting her sister keep her shocks), I gotta sell a few things to get her some Works shock quick).

This had to be the best weekend out there so far though. On Saturday's practice, both girls got to line up together for the first time. It was so fun watching them chase each other around the track, they were having a blast. They took turns passing each other, they were pretty stoked. They will probably be reacing each other at the next series (Northwest Quad Nationals), we'll se some competitive attitudes I'm sure img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Ashley's LT80 is running good at higher RPMs, mid to top range.
But it bogs down and almost dies at the bottom when you let off the throttle, like it's running out of fuel or something.
It's also very sluggish when giving it throttle, poor holeshot until RPMs get up.

I've tried adjusting the idle, we adjusted the fuel/air mixture. It seems to run good.

Needle clip is at the top, I believe it has a 120 main jet in, I also have a 122 and 125 main available.

Anyway, just trying to pick some brains in my never ending quest to gain knowledge...

I got a question, for everyone. My nephew has a kx65 and he wants to start racing. He has only had the motorcycle for almost a yr. I am the only one that actually has acreage for him to ride. I don't plan on putting a track in, as i don't have that much room. Does anybody know of a "beginner" track is for him to start practicing on to see if he really likes it? I looked up motorcross track in washington and it really didn't pull anything up.

Sure are lucky the one there Rod and for all the others who are going out to ride this weekend hehe...I Still have to wait a week before I can go. I just sent my top end to get bored out another .20 over or .30 over not sure which until he has it done heh so that means my lil 280 will be at 300 or 310 yay!!! cant wait to drag some at the dunes to see how she does....Thats AFTER i run 2 tanks of gas threw to break it in darn it. Anyone else have 85 or 86 lt250??? or parts or such? I would like to know some tips and tricks so to say on building one for the dunes but still rideable in trails...*gota love capitol forest* hehe alrighty ill see ya Peace out PSAR!!!

Hummm, an open flatbed trailer with quads loaded, left out in the open at an apartment complex, ya gotta use alittle common sense, you can't leave your toys out like that, they'll get jacked, which in that case happened, it's not right and I'm not siding with the thieves, but you must take precautions and I know, even with your toys in your garage, they can get jacked, you just don't leave them out in the open for all to see. Good afternoon PSAR...well been working like a mad man on the lt250 to get it ready for teh dunes...Checked the fluids most of em are good except the oil was completly black and it only drained for maybe 2mins and stoped driping...glad I checked it before the dunes..hehe so anyone else in the PSAR community have a lt250??? what year?? but yeah im getting really excited about going to the dunes. Just took my nerf bars off and shaved the plastics w00t...now i gota figure out how to post some pics on my profile alrighty peace out PSAR

Got TRev's baby paddles mounted up it looks good, that took about an hour and half TOO LONG!! Pretty much how my whole day has been!!

So now here I sit about in tears WAAAAA I know BR>
I will have a blaster to ride OH BOY haha it'll beat the hell outta me but at least I'll be riding!! DJ "said" LOL I could ride the 450 HMMM GEEE YA THINK! BR>

Rejet worked beautifully, at least as far as I can tell bombing around my property. Made an improvement anyway. Oil changed, re-geared and sand tires on. All it needs is a bath and maybe a little polish on the rims and it's READY for the DUNES. WAHOO!

What's up everyone. Just got the 660r partially serviced. had the oil changed and spark plug changed and lubbed up. And even had enough to get a set of Sand stars on rims. Does anyone know if rims for a 660 will fit on the 350?? If they do then I can put my old ones in my wifes bike. DM can you still bring that other set just in case some chit happens out there with mine or my wifes??? I am going to try to remember to pre slime the tires but I suffer from CRS, so lets actaully see if I do that!!! I will be heading out on Friday after the midget gets off work, so see you all out there. The FMX was awesome last night. It is apples and oranges from watching it on tv.

This is just a safety tip...
but the analally rentetive safety part of me just wants to mention this.

Be careful with the carpet in there. Any spillage or minor leaking of gasoline on the carpet is very dangerous.
Gas does not evaporate as quickly and is obviously not as easy to clean up.
The vapors and fumes will linger for a long time, and it only takes a little.
A little fire hazard obvioulsy, but the real hazard is breathing and lung problems.
Without going into all the details, the lingering gas vapors can cause real problems with your lungs and breathing.

In 15 years I have been on two gentlemen that were working on vehicles in carpeted garages,
They were both overcome by the vapors and were found dead, from relatively small amounts of spilled gas soaked into the carpet.

Again, just a safety message, not trying to be anything other than that.......

My bro-inlaw is doing ok. He is going back to Cali to base this weekend. It looks like he will be in the service for a while longer. He will start the long road to recovery once he is there. He is getting around with a cane now, so he is doing much better. he will have little use of his left hand and they are still looking onto his brain damage.

We did get to take him out for his 21st B-day a few weeks back. He had a good time..

Well ill introduce my self...im 17 my name is scott...currently live in the puget sound on Anderson Island...bleh...I do a lot of trail riding and finaly got a bike that i wanted which is a 86' lt250r. I do a lot of trail riding since i live on this stupid island, and well im heading to my first dune trip Pres day weekend down to florence..and if the weathers bad were stoping at sand lake so yeah...well i gota head out and start sanding for paint...peace out

HELP! We bought 4 Kazuma quads, and its becoming that time of year! But we have a dilemna, we need info on how to register them. We bought them new at Raceway ATV from John. We have the certificate of origin for a vehicle form but it is not filled out. So we need to know where to go, what we need to bring, and how much it would cost. After I get his Honda stuck deep down in the dark depths of a nasty tree shot that only a modded banshee (or other equal quad), can get out of, I head back to camp and grab my 700R with the nice polished wheels and ride off into the sunset BR>

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!! She was 94 and at least she didn't go out laying down so she had a long life and it was her time to go. All I regret is that I wasn't ther before she departed. But if I am not able to make it then I will definatley be at SL.

Ashley's LT80 is running good at higher RPMs, mid to top range.
But it bogs down and almost dies at the bottom when you let off the throttle, like it's running out of fuel or something.
It's also very sluggish when giving it throttle, poor holeshot until RPMs get up.

I've tried adjusting the idle, we adjusted the fuel/air mixture. It seems to run good.

Needle clip is at the top, I believe it has a 120 main jet in, I also have a 122 and 125 main available.

Anyway, just trying to pick some brains in my never ending quest to gain knowledge...

try a pilot jet one size larger, move your clip down one slot on the needle, for starters, just my 2 cents.

just got in from RMC and the TT/ Roundy Roundy practice. Minimadman was turnin' the laps on his lil hardtail. slow FT lap was 15.73, fast lap was 15.32.......hells yes I'm really happy purdy consistant for a 6 year old on an old school wheeler!
He was 10 seconds per TT lap faster than the lil guy on a KX65, and he was on his fiddy. On his 80, his lap times went between 14.97 - 17.00 seconds. The new machine still throws him a curve ball on the TT track. His TT times on the 80 are in the 35 second time frame. (compared to 28-30 on the fiddy) That is okay, he will learn how to rip on it, just some more seat time.
Lil man rode his 60 pound arse off. I carried him into the house tonight a very proud daddy BR>

What do you mean the the Cert of Oriin is not filled out?

You need a Cert of Origin, Sales Receipt/Invoice and go to your local License office. The tabs are about $35 each and you will have to pay sales tax as well. If there is no record on the Kazuma from a previous registration(in the system from anyone in WA), they will require you to get an estimate of value for the quad. You will have to take them all to a motorcycle shop and pay for that.

I had to register 2 Kazuma bikes and 2 Chinese quads when we started to ride and that is what I had to do. They do not believe that you paid so little for a ORV, that is why you may need to get an estimate.

As far as spark arrestors, they are required on land, I do believe.
