Not happening in washington... Besides your quad dont get good gas mileage anyway. When im at home i get maybe 10MPG when in cap forrest i get about 15mpg when in the dunes... 10 - 20 depending on whats goin down.

Maybe one of you guys could help me. Used to be a Riflesmith by the name of Jerry Shannon that had a shop in Spannaway. He passed away a number of years ago, early 80's, and I have been unable to find out what happened to his shop and the tools. He had some brass forming dies that were unique to a couple of wildcat calibres that I modified and I need to have some brass made up or buy the dies to do it myself. Any ideas about his family or where his stuff may have gone? I know his wife moved to Anacortes but she also passed away. I have searched the area for relitives and such but with no success. If you have historic knowlage of the area and can give me any leads I would sure appriciate it.

Well sounds like good times were had @ Easton sorry we missed it, instead we stayed home & worked in the yard AGAIN!!!
It's starting to look pretty good man that little bit of rain yesterday & WOW did the grass grow hahaha so Ron mowed it again & did some more weedeatin' while I went shopping for flowers & plants

Just a little water to run the quads through! I've never had water over my seat. I would also be worried about my airbox, seeing as it's cut open!

I thought it was the way back! I was just following everybody else, then when I got to the bottom and TP says "nice view huh?", now lets go back up the hill with 3 ft of soft snow on it

The creek was the deepest I've ever seen it
The campout was outstanding, alot of sun, alittle sprinkle
Great food, great campfire

Had a good time in Easton, left about 4pm. Jenna and I went for a ride right before we laft and it turned into a mud bog event. Played in the mud and had a great time. Potluck was great, thanks Bing for the brats and kraught. Talk to you all later.
PS, no broken body or bike parts. It was a good time to be had by all.

I just want to let everyone know that I had a great time. The poor boys toy hauler I think was the highlight of the trip. It was good to finally put a face to everyones name. I had to tear down my quad to get all the dirt and mud that was packed and inhaled by the motor. Looking forward to going to Florence. I just hope that I can make it. We will have to make it to Easton again to do some more exploring around the mountains and across the highway. Does anyone have a picture of my mobile tent/toy hauler?

In Washington any trailer in the left lane is a no-no. To pass only if there are two lanes and never if more than two lanes in your direction. I got busted for it once towing my race boat down to an Oregon race.

Not happening in washington... Besides your quad dont get good gas mileage anyway. When im at home i get maybe 10MPG when in cap forrest i get about 15mpg when in the dunes... 10 - 20 depending on whats goin down.
OFC, Last year the state legislature passed a law that allows quads, as they are with no changes, to be on the streets if the county, city or agency the controls those roads authorizes it. Not legal for state or interstate highways, quads are only allowed to cross them at a 90° angle. So it can happen if you get enough people to apply pressure to the appropriate people.

DM Don't know just what you have going on, steel stud in aluminum, stainless stud, or whatever. You might want to think about taking that to a shop that has a machine that will take that out using a small arc. Can't remember what the machine is called but it's kind of like an arc welder in reverse. Removes the unwanted metal. Works really well on broken off Eazy-Outs and things like that. Don't ask me how I know. 10
I also have a dentist friend that took a really small screw out of a $800.00 model airplane engine. Took him a few hours but he did nice work.
Find someone to EDM it out. It is an electrolsis process the desolves the broke bolt or stud but doesn't touch the aluminum.

For those of you who asked about the Artichoke Chicken at Easton...I was riding and Jewelie put it all together to cook in RG's oven, many thanks for the assist while I was out playing. BR>
I generally don't measure when I cook, so bear with me, these are my best guesstimate.You may add more or less of the ingredients you like.
6-8 chicken breast cubed(more people to feed, add more chicken)
1 big can(or 2 small cans) quartered artichoke hearts in water-drained
6-8 artichoke hearts marinated in oil. drained
1 cup mayo
2 cups grated parmesan
Spray 9x13 baking dish with oil and spread cubed chicken on bottom layer.
Mix artichoke hearts(I usually break them up a bit so they spread out evenly), Mayo and Parmesan in a bowl and spread evenly over chicken.
Bake at 400 degrees until brown and bubbly. I am thinking 20 min+ but I have never timed it. When you start to smell it, check on it. If it needs to be left in the oven to stay warm a bit longer, it should be ok. Leftovers are tasty, too. ENJOY!
I cubed the chicken and mixed everything else before the camping trip so it's an easy prep dish.

DM Don't know just what you have going on, steel stud in aluminum, stainless stud, or whatever. You might want to think about taking that to a shop that has a machine that will take that out using a small arc. Can't remember what the machine is called but it's kind of like an arc welder in reverse. Removes the unwanted metal. Works really well on broken off Eazy-Outs and things like that. Don't ask me how I know. 10
I also have a dentist friend that took a really small screw out of a $800.00 model airplane engine. Took him a few hours but he did nice work.
Find someone to EDM it out. It is an electrolsis process the desolves the broke bolt or stud but doesn't touch the aluminum.
Yeah! What Bear said. Thats the one, EDM. Works great for these irrepairable problems.

Yeh, I miss all that stuff too. Freezing to death working cows in the winter, dust and hornets in the summer, horses that had a mind of their own (quads are better ), tons and tons of hay, truckloads of wheat, work from before sunrise till after dark. Oh how I miss all that. You gotta know retirement is a drag.

Hawks prarie is like the exit 111 area.. and you head south down to hway 101 wich is exit what 104 so about 7 miles.. then head west on 101 till it turns to 8 and stay west on 8.there is rock candy mountain road on a green sign. do the suicide bomb intothe left turn lane and shoot out there. park under the power lines.. or if you continue a lil further on 8 you will hit the ORV park

You need a flag. The Washington stickers are good in Oregon. I say the stock front tires will work fine, for your first trip. Just run them really hard.

I spoke with Gregg late this afternoon about a raise (I've been there almost two years now) He made an offer, I'll have to see what Extreme has to offer me. Have to figure in insurance and everything else.
The only way I can see staying at Cycle Barn is moving to a shipping job (weekends off) and getting a good chunk of change. I really do miss turning wrenches (and it's something I'm purdy good at too) I just wish I could wrench on quads Monday thru friday for the Barn.

Everett bone and joint. If I am not home tomorrow, night that will mean trouble. It is a hour and a half surgery. I should be home in time for dinner. MMMMMM oxycodone mmmmmmmmm

Hondablue removed the engine tonight, Need a flywheel puller so he can crack it open
any suggestions? I'll head to Paulsons tomorrow if they have one. (and yes, I already asked Sandbomber)
