I think 10:30 is spot on for a 11:00 start time. We are gonna caravan up the hill. It is better for all of us to show up at the same time.

Maybe, and this is a maybe, if Trevor hunts those FOURTY EIGHT EGGS, while DJ changes rubbers, 10:30 is very doable.

If someone was to offer up 24 hard boiled eggs ( cough cough) the possibilities of late arrival might be acceptable, but frowned upon

And it's a beautiful day to boot, can't get much better than this. Hope everyone has a great holiday with whomever they choose to spend it with.

Hey Karl, where the heck have you been? We've missed you around here.

Posted by: tencubed

Good morning PSAR

Hope you all have the best Easter ever. Ride safe and eat lots. Linda worked OT last night, hazard of being a nurse, so we are staying home.

Looking forward to the next ride I am able to attend.

I'm sure Hollywood can tell you things are busy at work these days, especially in her area. I've picked up a hot project to manage (part time...so they say) in addition to the normal assignment I have, then taking classes from the UW spreads me kinda thin at work and home. Classes are done at the end of June and the project should be on some sort of stable path by then. Mrs. Toyz has been at work just about every Saturday too... We just set a bowl out for 'da boy and let him out when we get home

I tinker in the garage occasionally.

Well, after 2 yrs, I'll finally have my stock headlights back on, ordered the back portion of one headlight that was busted due to a hmmmmm, rollover and a few other little goodies necessary to make it water tight and trail worthy. Hopefully it'll be ready for Easton, if not, I'll just stay in camp and cook for everybody.

Good afternoon PSAR. Glad to report that all is good at the coffee bar. All the geezers are able to sit up and take nourishment so that's a good thing.

Cleaning out the rear box on the quad, apparently when I laid it on it's side at Rock Candy a bunch of mud got in under the lid. Took some digging to get the mess cleaned up.

Is anyone going riding this next weekend? If no group outings are planned I may go to Rock Candy again.

Have a great day.

I think alot of it has to do with problems getting logged on. I know i'm having one hell of a time. I have to keep going to my history page, and by passing the home page to get online.

OFC

Had a '57 Ford that I raised the canopy on. Made the extention from 20 Ga. black steel and bent in a shelf and drawer area. Turned out nice and was very handy. Drawers at the front were hard to access from the back of the bed so I put in locking hatch covers from a boat supply house in those areas. The outside access worked well. The lift was, as I recall, just 12" and I should have made it 16 or 18". I removed the tailgate and back door of the canopy and made a new rear entry with two doors to allow full width, between the shelves and fenders, access to the bed. The black metal made it easy to paint to match the pickup.

I have a fiberglass canopy witha walkthru(crawl Thru) door in the back. Opens like the back of an exploader. Its just not tall enough to slide the craptor inside the same canopy on and F250 and it fits.guess the ranger is just a lil small. I was thinkin i could build sorta like a lil 2' pony wall around the rails of my truck and anchor them into the stake pockets. and just put some left over Hardiplank lap siding on it and paint it gray?then reinstall my tail gate.. but then i get to thinkin that front winder on my canopy is gauranteed to get broke and i would get shiotty gas mileage. so im torn. I really just need to breakdown and buy a lil trailer. but the dam thing wont fit at the townhouse

Im thinkin about Poppin the canopy off the pick up agin for the summer. Mud stays in the front of the truck anyway so i dunno why I have it on there? Rappy will come north with me next weekend.. Ohh i know why i have the canopy on.. Cuz my all my chit i travel with dont fit in the cab onder if i could give my canopy a lift?

You need an extend cab truck so you have room for the dry stuff in the cab and the bed open for your quad. Both my big truck (1984 F250) and the little truck (Ranger XLT 1999) have the extended cabs, the only way to fly.

I have a 98 Ranger extended Cab 4.0L 4x4 with 265/75r16 Toyo M55s on it. I have my ARE fiberglass Highrise canopy with walk thru Door right now aswell.. It Just dont have nough of a high rise.. hell i could drive the rangger in the canopy of my eldest bro's F350.. and he has the same canopy just larger scale

Hmmm. A canopy lift probably won't work well with the fiberglass canopy. I have basicly the same as yours on my S-10 and don't think a lift would come out looking like anything but a scab job. Any chance one of those fold up trailers would store in the back of your truck? Maybe you just need a bigger truck.

I guess i could fiberglass it and gelcoat it to match. but it would still be a monstrosity BR>I will just have to get a trailer one day that fits behind the lil truck and leave it somewhere dureing its off time

You are carrying way to much crap around, OFC. Our Ranger has the 4.0L, auto, 2X4 (I'm not driving if it's that bad) with a Posi rear with a 3.54 gear, air and cruise. Stupid thing get 18 to 24 mpg too.

Mine is a manual and gets about the same mileage if i keep my Foot out of it and Dont drive like a maniac. its the differnce between fillin up at 260 or 160.. I reckon my record fuel consumption in it was 3 gallons in 8 miles

We (myself, Cindy, son Nate and his fiance Katie) are planning on going to Tahuya this Saturday.
Not sure what time we would be arriving there since it is quite a drive for us. Maybe mid-morning.
This will be the last weekend Nate will be home until he heads back to Iraq.

Bing and others,

Val created a database for the Easton Campout just add your info. If anyone wants anything other than what she added then just pm me and I'll tell her what you want her to add.

She also said there wasn't any problem when she went in maybe the site was down for awhile or something.

The wife and I will be taking a run down to East Fort Rock OHV area the 17th of May thru the 22nd. If anybody is interested in going let me know. We have rented a house just south of Sunriver as it is cheaper to take the little truck and trailer to carry the quads and rent the house that drive the big truck with the camper and tow the big trailer.

looks like we need 9 spots thus far

I am going to call back the ranch and grab a 9th spot and give them my CC #.

If you need a spot,,,please sign-up or let me know if you cant access the PSAR database to do so,,,,and i will do it for you.

You only need to sign up,,,if you need a space for a camper or RV. (we can fit the tenters in anywhere)

I know exactly how you feel, about the fuel cost. I spent about $500 a month on fuel. Driving from Lake Stevens to Bellevue, I'm not getting the best of milage. I drive atleast 100 miles a day. My Tahoe is a 2001 and I'm about 200 miles short on rolling over to 100,000 miles

You can also think about getting a little commuter car for work.

Thanks for the invite and I would like to meet with you folks and be able to thank Nate in person. Since I have errands to run each Saturday morning I am unable to leave Seattle much before 7:00 AM. I don't know where Tahuya is so have no idea what the driving time would be. I'll try to find it on the net or someone here may be able to let me know.

EDIT:

OK, I found Tahuya on the ORV site. Looks like the earliest I would be able to get to that area would be close to 9:00 AM depending on the roads and traffic. If that would work with you folks I would enjoy the outing.

I wouldn't expect us to get there much before 10AM
Coming from Snohomish

That would work well for me, gives me a cushion of time for travel and getting lost a time or two. I did just talk to my son at the farm and they are having an electrical problem with one of the water pumps. I may have to go over there for a day or two this week. If I'm unable to make it I'll let you know. Thanks again for the invite.

For all the talking you do about making good money.....there's no reason why you couldn't afford a bigger truck and keep your small one as a commuter!!!! That or maybe you're drinking team has too big of a bowling problem?? Costing you too much???? What's up??

Hey just think I cut out my tuesday and thursday drinkin teams. they were real expensive. but didnt i say I need a bigger house before a bigger rig will fit with my smaller rig.. and in that case i could just get a trailer wich is one hell of allot cheaper than the bigger rig.. though the bigger pad is much more expensive. Its the age old dilema. I'll just take the canopy off and it all works out dandy. I have some sweet ramps loading is mucho easy

He had an engine complete, with wiring he was selling for $2500, sold for $2200. That makes me think you would spend about $2k for the services.

yowsa... hmm.. is it worth it to have a hill climber instead of a hill shooter?

Go to powroll.com and see if they still sell it. It was there kit. It would be around $500 more for splitting cases, mailing crank, boring and porting.

Oh, ouch. TP that is going to take a while to heal up. How long are you going to be off work with this? Hope it's not going to impact your family too severly. Always makes me kind of POed when the vet tells you in effect "If we don't get around to calling you just remind us".

I have about given up on the medical community in this country, been going to Mexico the past couple of years and have found the services to be excellent and much quicker than here.

Been an interesting day around here. Kid calls with a problem with a well pump, try to talk them thru that but it's an electrical issue and the pump is going to have to be pulled. May drive to the farm tomorrow to help with that. Hope we can save the pump. Next we found the rug by the shower was wet, leak in the supply line to the toilet, what fun but got it fixed. Corgi Dog found something quite odiforous to roll in. Major dog cleanup. Went shopping with the wife and some punk kid starts shoving she and I out of his way to get to something in the checkout line. Pushing and saying "move" over and over. By the time that was done the kids dad, the store manager, a couple of other folks and I had all voiced our opinions. The kid and his dad were invited to leave. I felt sorry for the manager as he kept saying how sorry he was and it wasen't his fault at all.

What the H is wrong with people that they won't teach their kids any manners? Rant OFF now. BR>
Hope you all have a great evening, wife has supper ready and it smells really good.

howdy psar!!!

spent the day working on the boat (thats what i call it),,,,, got the engine spinning like a top (125 lbs in each cylinder ). Funny thing,,,i pulled the carb, to clean it out,,,and noticed the gasket was backwards on the intake side,,,,blocking about 30% of my intake from my 32mm mikuni,,,,,so i should have a lot more topend this season. BR>
It runs like a champ,,,,gonna take er thru the ship canal this week for a test run....

Tomorrow.....we are having another surf/turf night,,,,and all are invited. Our WDFW friend limited on clams today and plans too tomorrow as well,,,,so the eatin should be good. Clams, crab, fish, oysters, cow, veggies on the bbq,,,,,it should be a hoot. Bring your favorite liquid and park carefully. PM if you need directions.

is it time for salmon la sac yet????

RAY! Make sure you double check that chest protector of hers, I think it did it's job, but may need to be replaced hr>

Yes I checked it out and it is CRACKED. I will be getting her a new one before Easton or she will just use mine.It also looks like she hurt her neck(Bruised all the way around) and her arm is really bothering her. She will have to go to the doctor again and have her arm checked out.

I will tell her to check the forum and tell you all what happened.

I straightened her stem again today. How many times can you straighten it before you replace it img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0"> ??

I will not replace her plastic, only the left rear fender is cracked.

Yes, the same one she broke in Easton. She hasn't said anything to me about her arm, but she has to her Mom. Verity told me last night that we need to go get it x-rayed before she rides again.
