They blocked the trails running along the road and the gravel hill down to the road now has jersey barriers across it. I think they're trying to tell us something.

Not to say anything bad about the Air Force. But the way that they go about getting promoted is not right. YOu have to take a written test and it could have notthing to do what you do for a job. If you really want to learn more on computers Join the army and go airborne. The army has a whole lot more to offer you than the air force. That and you more than likely qualify for a bonus, so don't count the army out.

Yeah....well the marines also said there program for computers is huge...and uhm i kinda let out a chuckle...right when i walked out of the air force recruiters office they told me i should come over to theirs and such...and needing to pass time i walked in and heard there whole story...hehe but yeah i dunno my cousins husband is in the army and said join air force...so many different views of each branch its crazy...peace out

Air Force has a good computer program, but the Navy is the cutting edge of the sword. Also advancement in the Navy is a little more rapid. I had an air force instructor at the military police academy (in 1989) that had been in for 16 years and was and e-5. I was also an e-5 but i had only been in 4.5 years. I'm not sure if it's changed. On the other hand Air force doesn't go to sea for 6 months+ and that right there is a big +. And they all have the same college programs so don't let any recruiter BS you. What ever path you chose, make sure it's what you really want to do because it ain't easy little bro.

Hey Scott,
Like i said before, Talk to Dan Rush and tell him your friend Sean Clinton sent you there.
Probably won't get you much more, and gets me nothing, but lets them know somebody sent you there.
I've sent a lot of people there, and want them to get treated right.
Also, hold them to whatever they tell you as far as future discounts, etc.
That way if they don't, I can harass them about that. I have done it before.
Good Luck getting ma and pa to give in a help ya get a Preddy.........

All of those.. Silver ridge ranch is on the other side of the airfield from the powerline trails.. we also go to the other side of the freeway up in them hills
One time we went under the freeway. We went under the freeway through a huge culvert. Then rode through this town( dont remember the name). Then rode along the railroad tracks. Then rode he iron horse trail for a little bit off that we picked up some dirt road then hit some crazy atv trails. We were riding with some locals they knew where all the good places to ride were. I know we broke a few laws but we had fun.

OK, I'm staying up tonight to do some price researching, but would like your opinions, especially those that have or have had a Weekend Warrior trailer.
I'm looking at my cousins 2002 WW 26', front sleeper model.
In good shape, only thing it doesn't come with is a generator.
Looks between $14,000 - $15,000.
Does that sound like a good/bad/indifferent deal....................

Gotta put my 2 cents in on the vacation that I get. Im pretty lucky. I get 26 days of vacation a year and 13 days of sick leave. I can accumulate sick leave throughout my careeer but then they only credit you for 25% of it at retirement. So, lots of calling in sick towards the end.
Sure wish the better weather would hurry up and get her. I wanna go campin

You'll have your own site, park your truck and pitch your tent. Usually we reserve a block of 8-10 sites and unless you reserve one particular site for yourself, it's pretty much first come first serve

Back in my Air Force days, you took two seperate tests, one general test for Air Force related items and one test for you specfic job classification. Those two scores together plus your time in service gave you an accumulated score, that score was put up against others taking the tests and they would promote a certain number of candidates. Don't know exactly how they do it now, but it probably hasn't changed too much.

Hollywood's son is a Marine Recruiter on the east coast, he's been in for 15yrs, I could ask him the truth about what you're interested in. Just remember, Recruiters are salespeople and they have a monthly quota they must meet, they'll tell you whatever you want to hear.

I was an E-5 in my 4th year, NCOIC, Metals Processing Shop, in my 6th year I was eligible for E-6 testing but decided it was time for civilian life again. If I had it to do over again, I would have stayed in.

One thing I've learned about the Army from my son is that you sign a contract stating what your job will be and they stick to that. The Marines do with you what they want, it doesn't matter what they promise you. I'm not sure how it is with the Air Force.
30 years ago a buddy of mine joined the Air Force out of high school to "see the world" He scopred really good on his exam and ended up in Plattsburg NY for 4 years working on SHRAM missiles.
What ever you do, or what ever branch you decide to join, thank you.

Due to his JRROTC involvement in high school he went in as an E-3.

I guess the people living up there dont like quads

I need some Yahoo PSAR help. I log in,,,,and i am trying to start a database,,,,and i cant even access any of the member area,,,,even when i am logged in.
Who administers that account (2many, realtor)? ....
anyhow, i was trying to start a list of people going to easton,,,,arrival and departure time,,,potluck dish, so on
I left a message at the Ranch for our block of spots. I would like to get that database completed so we can let them know exactly what our needs are.
Wildturkey, best thing for you to do is pitch tent next to sopmeone and just pay the $5 added vehicle charge and save the $20 for the whole campsite,,,,,,unless you need more room,,,,,just a thought.

First off thank you Pugetsoundislander for going into the service to protect all us old folks you have never met. We all appriciate it for sure.
Your smart to look at all the services but I haven't heard you mention the Coast Guard. I have a young friend that is in that branch and from what he tells me it might be worth your while to check it out.
About the Army. My oldest son was in the tanks and served with honor. When his tour was up he joined the NG and was in that for a number of years. His major problem with the Army was how much trouble he had getting his collage money. It was always a problem getting them to honor their commitments. Something screwed up in the paperwork and they could never get it fixed.

My doc said its all still together, but needs teh specialist to look at it. That appointment has to wait till Tuesday afternoon. I wish it would be sooner. Oh and the meniscus is tore up.

There are jobs everywhere and you wanna get paid you better put in your time. Unenjoyment should only compensate to the alloted amount you have pyed in thru your working life. it shouldnt be run as a social pool. if you didnt pay you dont get the compensation and when you retire you should be entitled the funds you paid back. No one should be forced to pay into a compensation program that they will never see a dime of and people can milk the system and leech all your hard earned dollars. that goes for social security, or anything else. Disability is a differnt ballgame im not real sure on that

Not good my friend. A plateau fracture is what I had (still isn't right 25 years later) to my left knee. They bone grafted a piece of my pelvis in there and I carry 4 screws and 2 pins to this day. Airport security checks are fun. Even naked I would set the alarms off.

I get a whole 5 days a year that can be carried over one year for a total of ten days on the books, not as good as some but better than others hr>
I get 60 full pay sick days and 60 half pay sick days a year. People with 20+ years seniority get 180 full pay sick days per year and 180 half pay sick days per year. Crazy. I guess my union is worth something after all. Maybe. It's good for big issues like surgery and such, but if I get a cold and should stay home for a couple days to avoid infecting my entire office, no way. I have to stay out more than 5 days to have it not count against me. Then I have to use FMLA to protect myself from disciplinary action. It's a wierd system. They pretty much shoot themselves in the foot by forcing you to come to work sick or stay out longer than you really need to.
TP, that(as MB would say) blows goats you have to use vacation to(possibly) recover from surgery. Hopefully you might be able to avoid surgery all together. A fast relatively painless recovery would be good, too.

Spoke with the ranch. They have a group of quad riders there now, that have spent 3 days playing in the trails. Lower trails are patchy with snow, but pretty clean. The upper trails still have some snow.

RG, that is perfect. Verity and I are trying to go ride on Saturday. We will see how they are and let everyone know.

Im a good sport. no worries. you'll be hardpressed to offend OFC unless you tell me things like Welfare is good and we should fund it more, and tell me that we should up our budget for aid to illegal imigrants and what not. I could turn bright red and have smoke commin from my ears. otherwise im pretty mellow..
Welfare is good! (Single mom voice impression)
I agree. Especially for illegal immigrants that come here and then have babies so they can stay.

Well Jakie had his first unplanned get off at RMC today. Took it like a trooper, only saw one tear and it didn't hurt no more by the time he got back to the pits.
I do feel bad for the other kid though. Jake had just went around the corner and was going up the jump when his quad died. He says he thinks he hit the kill switch in the corner, like he has in the past, think I will duct tape that thing down.
Anyway I see him make it 3/4 the way up the jump and then roll right back down, just as another kid was rounding the corner and nailed him in the back. The other kid didn't dismount but ended up with a bent tie rod.
We went over to apologize and his dad was quite upset, I guess from what the mom says tomorrows race is for the championship and they don't know if they will be able to fix it. I did find out that the other girl that was there just has to show up and she wins the championship but still I felt bad that they had damage that needed fixin before they could race.
On a side note I was gonna offer to help the dad with whatever I could but when the guy is cursing f-bombs about the damage and walks away cursing without even talking things over then, I just let it be.

I am glad that I joined the Army. I made my E-5 in 3 yrs and promotable for E-6 in 4 and change.
The only thing that I would change would be coming into the service earlier and going Special Forces.

No pokey(requires loss of all your stripes), Article 15 (administrative punishment no court martial) lost the stripe because of being stupid, but they let me reenlist while an E-4 so it was more of a slap and "You have been here long enough to know better" kind of deal and a year later gave the stripe back. They didn't even take the shift supervisor position away. Then a war was on and trained people were valuable.
