It's still to cold out for us "tent" campers, but I'd like to check this place out. How long does it take to get there from my neck of the woods? If it's possible to make it an all day trip I'd like to check it out.

Long way is 101 to I-5 in Oly, north on I-5 to Highway 18 in Federal Way, 18 to I-90 and across the pass to Easton.

Hey i saw some of your posts about riding in Eason. My buddy has property in Easton right next to this trail thats called Full Throttle. We tried to make it up it but it was sooo steep we didnt even make it 1/4 of the way up. Is this the place your gonna go?? The pics dont look that steep but its SUPER STEEP!!! Ive been riding over there many times.

WildTurkey151 - You can see what mods I've got. The quad did pretty well at Sand Lake. It's not to crazy there, so if you were going there you won't need to spend much money on extras.
Josh- the little rappy / warriors will pull good for what they are. If you could have watched Joel drop down into the tree shot at Florence on Brenda's stock Raptor 350, you would have been thinking the same thing as the rest of the group. (this just got bad, and it'll take all 10 of us two hours to dig it out.) TP held that thing to the wood, slipped the clutch a lil' bit, and I'll be damned, it made it out. I do not see any reason to gear the bike down. Spinning the engine harder is the end result. It pulls good as is. I trail rode the rappy, no problems in stock form. I just don't think that giving up top end is worth a little extra down low, plus the extra stress on the motor.
As far as jetting..... you opened up the exhaust for what reason? Sound or power? I'm guessing power because you put an air filter on it as well. Now you are flowing more air, with the same fuel delivery = lean. Check your plug. I will bet you a diet coke your plug is lean. Toss more fuel...aka...Jet it... you will have more power. Alot of air is good, if you can increase the fuel to compliment it. I personally recommend the Yamaha jet kit. The numbering on the jets is universal, and not exclusive like the Dyno jet product.

Easton is the goods. It is mainly gravel roads, and old haul roads. There is a few places, that a few quads have forgotten the rules. You don't have to tip over, but if a role reversal is what you like, Bills hill has been known to get that accomplished.
You can camp there, or you can be like Larry and come for the day. It is at mile post 70, off the 90 so it is pretty close.

Sounds like fun, maybe I'll retrieve the old camper pickup, 1970 Ford F250 with an old 9' camper, from the farm and make a weekend of it. Too bad SWMBO will be working. Do they allow camping out in the woods or do you have to stay in a campground? I really prefer the former.

There really isn't many place to go camp, mountain man style. The campground is great. One night at a fire with PSAR, and you will never want to camp any other way. It is some of the best times ever. I am sure I will not be riding for a while. I will go camp, without my quad, just to be with my "peeps".

Oh, don't get me wrong, I really enjoy camping with a group if that is what is happening. I enjoy a good campfire as much as the next person. I must warn all involved that I have, however, had folks come bang on the camper in the wee hours to tell me to quit snoring.
What is the usuall practice at these outings? Potluck? Bar-B-Que? Or each on their own. If its the pot luck I gotta start lookin for the proper ingediants and get them to ageing right away.

Well, we took Bobby to the airport tonight. Bobby got here Saturday and Nate got in on Sunday.
We had a great time with both of them here at the same time. It had been a while since that has happened.
Nate will be here until the 25th.

We normally have one potluck meal, it's been Supper or Breakfast, the rest of the meals, you're on your own. It's a great place to camp, bathrooms with showers, very tame riding area, unless you want to do some hillclimbs.

The reason we have it, is that the department tries to use it as an incentive for people to not abuse their sick leave.
They seem to like to pay us so we don't take our time off. We can't cash in any vacation time.
But we get 12 Holidays per year that we can schedule off, or get paid for.
That's kind of a no brainer, if their going to pay me, I'm not taking it off. Makes for a sweet Christmas bonus since they pay the end of November.
Unions are kind of a necessary evil IMO... I'm just very fortunate enough to be in a good one.
I know some that aren't so good, namely the one that covers my wifes job. ggggggggrrrrrrrrrrr
I know there are many folks out in the real world that are not as fortunate as others, and I don't think that is right.
It shouldn't cost you to take time off when sick or injured...........

Nope, no secret. My company has had an office in the hospital for 10 years...and now the hospital is moving us, and providing even less space for us...so I have to find new office space... BUMMER! It's new, brand new, and it's huge and it will be alllllll mine!!

Hey Bingy........(in my sweetest voice ever!).....could you call the ranch and put our cicrle on hold? I can never remember the site numbers and truth be told...aside from the call this morning, I've never interacted with anyone who runs the place. I just don't want to get the wrong one's reserved...that would be bad...forget peoples names..and screw up the reservation...I'd probably get lynched!
I sure miss our fire pit..........can't wait to see it again!

Ill be coming from, i think its called Elk Run (privite property) Theres trails that go to lake Katchess, Lake Cle Elum, Trails to an airfield, and the Power Line trails. What areas are u gonna ride?

All of those.. Silver ridge ranch is on the other side of the airfield from the powerline trails.. we also go to the other side of the freeway up in them hills
