I had 20" razr's on my Blaster. They were a great tire for that bike. The razr is lighter and the tread is tighter, then the razr2. That would be faster sportier riding. If you would want to angle more for the mud/ slower riding look into a kenda klaw, or something along that lug type.

If you wernt from texas you'd know them are spur roads hr>
I still like calling them fingers

I think that a good tire should have a good gap between the lugs on the tires, lots of grip but slid easier. I doubt this helped but stick with Maxis
I'd have to recheck the websites, but, some tires aren't offered in a 22", I just want something that gets good traction and of course won't gum up between the lugs.

Back when I was thinking of getting new rubber, the M934 Razr 2, was first on my list. Like I said before, I've run the Holeshot XCT's for atleast 2 yrs and have served me well, but I do like to try new things and I love the look of the Razrs.

Don't know, but what I do know is, seems everytime I ride with Jenna, she has tire problems, dating way back to the South Prairie days, remember that one?
That was the first trail ride ever for her. She has not had a problem since then and she is on EVERY trail ride with the group and then some with just me.
Happa, I will show her this post and she may start pulling some of her "HUGS" back. That might make Happa a sad Rap. img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Haven't been to camp spillman yet so i'll probably go there. Cheech said its a better place than the pit, (less big rocks) for (little) kids to ride.

Intake - K&N
Exhaust - ?
Jet Kit - DynaJet
Different sproket - totally clueless

MB - I got a couple of questions for you. Why would you leave the stock sprocket on? How much would the jet kit benefit the Raptor 350? Just curious. Thanks.
WildTurkey151 - You can see what mods I've got. The quad did pretty well at Sand Lake. It's not to crazy there, so if you were going there you won't need to spend much money on extras.

You know I forgot all about you having a 350. And I know that Big D has an ol' warrior pretty much the same quad. I am guessing here but is the stock tooth on the front sprocket 15? I just want the ol 350 to move a little faster on the start. That is why I thought about the sprocket

Josh- the little rappy / warriors will pull good for what they are. If you could have watched Joel drop down into the tree shot at Florence on Brenda's stock Raptor 350, you would have been thinking the same thing as the rest of the group. (this just got bad, and it'll take all 10 of us two hours to dig it out.) TP held that thing to the wood, slipped the clutch a lil' bit, and I'll be damned, it made it out. I do not see any reason to gear the bike down. Spinning the engine harder is the end result. It pulls good as is. I trail rode the rappy, no problems in stock form. I just don't think that giving up top end is worth a little extra down low, plus the extra stress on the motor.
As far as jetting..... you opened up the exhaust for what reason? Sound or power? I'm guessing power because you put an air filter on it as well. Now you are flowing more air, with the same fuel delivery = lean. Check your plug. I will bet you a diet coke your plug is lean. Toss more fuel...aka...Jet it... you will have more power. Alot of air is good, if you can increase the fuel to compliment it. I personally recommend the Yamaha jet kit. The numbering on the jets is universal, and not exclusive like the Dyno jet product.
Just my 2 cents sir.

I cant remember whats on my warrior now. But i have sprokets all the way down to 12 for the front and from 38 to 44 in the back Seems to me that 13 42 was the money combo for hill climbin. After i built it i think i may have put a 14 or 15 on the front with 42 in back to utilize more of the bottom end. but hard tellin whats on it... K&N proflow and a good slip on pipe with a 147.5 or 150 main jet should do ya swell. I have a pro circuit T4 on one warrior and that is no where sound legal for anywhere. you need earplugs to ride.

Best power out of a stock build warrior can be had by installin a K&N proflo filter/adapterplate and tak a torch and cut the end off the muffler and jet to 147.5 ot 150 depending on your motors breathability. in stock form my warrior would spank 2 other warriors bought at the same time with similar mods except they bought pipes at the time Note it is not spark arrested nor noise compliant

Back from Idaho and we had a blast!! Not sure if you got acouple of updates from TP or not. His older brother had some problems with his quad so he was calling the quad god to get some ideas. Up to the last day his quad didn't run right. St A's is HUGE! The hills are big and change every day. I dropped a front tooth and got further up the hills. I only crashed twice, well if that's what you want to call them. First one i was going up a steep hill which wasn't that long and i was in 2nd pinned, i got about 2 feet from the top and my back tires sunk in the sand and i could feel the front end starting to lift, so i bailed and the quad flipped 2 times and came to a stop on in the middle of the hill. 2nd crash i was going down a little slope and i was standing up and i tried to swing the butt end of the quad around and the tires got stuck in the sand(just rained so sand was very thick) and it through me off. It landed on the handlebars, no damage just had to pop the plastic back in on acouple of spots. There was probably about 40 of us total that went.
Justin's quad made it up Choke cherry with his buddy Regan riding it, and a Z463 made it up also. I didn't even try.
We woke up Thursday morning to some snow!!!! Had about 3 inches. Packed are stuff and got out of town. Got home Friday at 5. We saw a ton of bikes on our way home. We went by the odessa exit on i-90 at about 1:30 and every 10th vehicle had a motorcycle. I know about 30 people that went to the desert 100 and they have told me that last year there was around 400 riders, this year there was 900 and something. I went there two years ago to watch and i couldn't believe all of the people that were there. I can just imagine what it looked like last year.
I did read one of your post dm saying that you had a blow out. Let me tell you am story about a family that came over to Idaho with us but left on a different day THANK GOD!!
They left friday night and drove to Spokane. You actually might know them since they race. The moms name is Milly(SP) the son is Jeff, and i can't remember the daughters name. Anyways they leave with another motorhome. They have a blow out on this side on the pass. Get it fixed, get on the other side of the pass, get another blowout, which shredded the rear of the motorohome, inside tire so had to take outside tire off. Motorhome isn't working that good so they can only go about 55-60. They stayed in spokane got up and head to Montana, By this time there was 5 different motorhomes with them so 7 total. They got to Montana aroudn 9 i guess and was looking for the rv campground to stay at. They passed it and started heading up a gravel road, up a mountain. It was snowing and windy. It snowed 2 feet in two hours. They tried to turn around but they got stuck in a ditch. I think there was 3 motorhomes with trailers stuck, They finally all got out. The next morning, they tried to get on the freeway and they plows haven't been by yet. Hundreds of trucks were on the sides on the roads waiting to get on the freeway, after waiting for 30 mins the plow finally came by, and they goot to camp aout 5 on Sunday! Everyone that drove over on Saturday said that was the best trip they have ever had. LOL
OVERALL: I had fun at St A's but i think I would rather go to the Oregon Sand dunes. There is actually hills there that i can climb, and are still a challenge sometimes. If you don't have a fast quad you aren't making it up alot of hills at St A's which i don't think is very fun. Plus it's a shorter drive. LOL We drove about 2000 miles, there and back. Dang my butt is tired!!!

Sounds like good times out at ST A's.. I would want it to be warmer than snow myself brrrr. so how many hours did it take ya'll to drive its only 816 miles. I could prolly do it in less than 11 hours. if you was a law abiding upstanding citizen its only 14 hours. I would have to stop and visit friends in superior for a break though

I appreciate the 2 cents. They're valuable to us newbies that's why I can't bet you.
I checked my plug just before the Rock Candy ride and it looked fine. It wasn't black or white, but a creamy color.

The weekends are saved for cloudy, rainy, windy days that include big puddles, mud and looking for trail crossings at Rock Candy.

Well if my bro would get a trail worthy quad i would gladly go out and clear the trails as i can ride to them pretty easy and work my way back to rock candy. I ride over to a buddys house in porter on occasion. Oh but i dont ride in the rain cuz i dont like to get dirty

Mike, Jakie and I will have to meet up with U next time. We are leaving for Hawaii sunday.
I will try attaching a pdf map, but right after Effandahl stagging area u will see goat ranch road (intersects) then on Ur right will be a turnout. We usually park there and right next to it is a big field with trails and jumps that is very KID friendly. Also if U follow the dirt road that comes out of the turnout (don't know the name) on the left side of the road is some roundy roundy berms and trails.
Belfair
Have fun let me know if in a few weeks U are going.

Yep, that's them. Very nice family, but they had a hell of a time getting over there. Not sure how they did coming home, they went a different way following Esa's parents.
How's TP's knee doing, Jeff said he was going to the Doctor? Oh yea i yelled at Esa for you too. I swear that kid doesn't listen. Where we camped the owner wanted us to go 5 mph, until you hit the dunes, Esa did about 70, racing anybody that he could.

TP's doing okay. Found out the other day he'd been "hiding" the pain of his knee from me. I guess he didn't want me to take him the doctor....well, that didn't work, cause I did anyway. Doctor says he's injured his meniscus. Go for an MRI tomorrow to see how bad. Then doc will call back with the final diagnosis and prognosis! Could mean surgery.
He's in quite a lot of pain....and TP has a very HIGH tolerance for pain....so that means it really really hurts....as opposed to hurts just a little! lol
Thanx for yelling at Esa. It's just an all around bad situation. It sucks when someone else hurts you...even worse when how bad they hurt you means surgery and time off work. We are probably going to have to cancel our two big dune trips this year.
I'm sure we'll be able to take a couple of long weekends, just no all weekers! Depends on the surgery verdict! Oh well, a healed TP is better than a million vacations. There's always next year!

You could test ride during the week and then bring your wife out on the weekend and if my wife isn't working she will go too. Let me know when you would like to go to either or oth places.
Thanks for the offer Bear, sounds like the kind of areas that would work well. The basic learning sessions would be at the farm like I said but I think a wooded area would be a lot more fun. We have access to mountain pasture but the terrain is not rider friendly what with limbs and rocks and such. Very few roads. Linda works all weekends at the present time but this may change mid summer or so depending on how accute the nurse shortage stays. It will be a few weeks before we will even have a chance to ride at the farm and probably mid July before we will be bringing the little quad to this side of the hill due to prior commitments. Meantime I will have the 360 over here and am looking forward to being able to exercise it. You missed a good time Saturday, too bad you had quad problems.
Well, week days are no problem either. I'm retired, on disability and the wife works 24 on and 48 off, so she is free during the week a lot of the time too, but I ride without here a lot too. We ride Shelton, and Capitol Forest a lot, besides locally. We also ride in central Oregon alot. In fact we are leaving the 17th of May for a five day ride in the East Fort Rock OHV area, southeast of Bend. The offer is on the table for ever how long you need it to be. BTW, The wife only learned to ride since Nov. of 2004 when we bought out second machine and she wouldn't let me trade in the 250. If you want to ride sometime, just contact me. I usually ride at least once a week once the weather improves. I have opted to pass on the bad weather rides as I have time to ride during the week with good weather and fewer people out there on the trails.

That and now that I know we use maps that like to get wet in the rain I think I am going to go and get one of those map covers for Larry so he doesn't have to be so delicate with the map in the rain.
I didn't bring a compass because Jayna was bringing her GPS unit. I have a laminated map of Capitol Forest, but because I just knew it wasn't gonna rain, I left it at home. What we really need is a chainsaw, if anybody's interested in making the ride again at some point with the right equipment, let me know.I also had the idea of back tracking from the spot we split up at and riding the trail back, marking the road crossing, or atleast the spot where we couldn't find where the trail picked back up.
Just giving you a hard time. Its the least I can do. I could care less how long or where I ride. As long as I am riding. When I got the migrain towards the end is where my spirits started to dwindle. It was more along the lines of I need to take a nap. Hell, minus the migrain and my little mishap on the hill, I would have done it again today!

I would be very interested in some weekday and/or weekend rides. Linda is off Tues, Wed and Thurs and I take the dog to visit at the facility where she works Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning. I get home about 6:30 AM Saturday so have the rest of the day and the remainder of the week to play. Ain't retirement great?

Get well soon TP, I need someone to ho it up with hr>
Check last post. True though, I did not turn this thing on Thursday. I was very depressed, but spent the weekend being assured that it will be good. I saw my "baby" brother(27) over the weekend. He is a daddy and a home owner, and it was really good to be welcomed into his home, and see how he has changed. If you knew this guy when he was a teen, you would be amazed.

Next time we go as a group to Rock Candy there is going to be a packing list with number one on the list being a Chain Saw. I think we could get more riding in, instead of riding the logging roads.

Can anyone help me here i knwo some of you have toy haulers and have looked into them Thanks
Weekend Warrior is where I started my real searching. I have a fs2300 super lite. I think it is a great starter trailer, have had no problems with it. WW may be a little higher priced than a Thor, but resale seems to back it up.

So now when we go to the Dunes we won't have to Motel it any more and we will have our own place to hang if it turns nastyhr>
CONGRATS now your offical campers......hr>
Thanks Big D and Hap,
Now I just need to come up with a reasonable priced quiet little 1000 to 2000 watt gennie to take care of the 110 V needs. I also need to come up with a small flat panel TV that wall mounts and install a DVD player for the rainy day and night time entertainment needs then it will be home on the road
The camper is nothing special to look at inside or out but it's fairly clean and very solid. The guy was pretty liberal with the sealant around the doors and windows(read thick azzed beads) but at least he kept up on
the maintenance and so far thru yesterday and last nights rain I have found no leakshr>
My neighbor has an old Coleman 850. He wants $150 but will probably take $100.
My Honda 750 will power everything in my camper except the micro.
Rod, is it quiet and does it start easily and run well? if so I'm interested.
It starts right up and isn't too bad on the noise. Not as quiet as a Honda, but what is?
My Yamaha sure isn't, its way quieter.BR>

I agree 100%, but I don't think there's any other way around that one spot after we split up except to go around to Porter Creek. But then with a good sized chainsaw, you could probably build a new path around that carnage.

GOOD MORNING PSAR BR>
Well we made it home from Odessa last night about 10:30 had a good time!!
Here's my race report:
Ok well the weekend started off w/ waking up WAY TO EARLY Sun morning haha stayed in the bus @ the Hotel parking lot in Euprata(sp) on Sat. night, drank some brews & some shots of SOMETHING??
Sun. we pull into the parking lot/pits & HOLY JESUS i have never seen that many dirtbikes in one place Harleys YES(Sturgis Dirtbikes NO DJ & Ron stood in the sign up line for a good hour I'd say, Dj ended up w/ #469 they went as high as 8?? Probably higher YES that's how many racers there were lined up on the start line img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0"> Race horn & smoke blew about 11:20 & THEY WERE OFF waay tooooo cool watching all those bikes come up & over the hill right at ya, we didn't even see DJ at all, he said he was in the front on the start 5th-6th out so he was off & gone!! As we were sitting there watching the pack come down along pit row one rider went SAILING & his helmet went sailing W/O him as we watched him try to get up we caught another guy hit a rock & go end over end img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0"> It was HARSH, well as we were walking to see if the rider was OK it was ONE OF OUR GUYS img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0"> cuz there were 4 of our other guys helping him out well low & behold we get up there & who is it??????????..................................BOBBY img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0"> I have never seen anyone fly like that img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> he was knocked out & not moving but then he came too, he ate so much dirt ect. everyone was tyring to wipe his mouth out, eyes out ect VERY VERY VERY SCARY!!!!!!!!! The Ambulance FINALLY got out there & they got his helmet off, cut his chest protector off ect. they asked him his name, BD(which was yesterday) ect he was a little out of it GEE imagine that!! They put him on the backboard & took him into the Odessa Hospital, he ended up w/ a seperated right shoulder & screwed up left knee AGAIN!!!!!!!!! He came back bout' an hour & half later doped up & gimping!!!!
So after that I was just a mess wondering what happened if anything to DJ it sucks NOT being able to watch them race!!! Well around 2:10pm DJ rolled in img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> Fine as Frogs hair, sore hands & tired but he did GREAT he finished in 2hrs. 40 min. not bad for a 1st timer!!!! His Uncle Bobby was very proud of him, he said he only went down a couple times, so no damage to him or the bike!! He got a better time than Bobby & Justin last year!! He said it was the FUNNEST race he'd ever ran!!! Haha well after waiting for the rest of the guys to come in we loaded up & came home w/ our BROKEN MOTORHOME img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">
That poor thing took a BEATING, on the way there we had a passenger outside rear tire blow FARKING LOUD!!!!!!!! Did lots of dammage to the MH ripped the wheel well off, the side of the mh is all tore up & it blew a hole in the floor THANK GOD Trevor was NOT w/ us cuz he would of been sitting right there!!! All I know is I heard the BAM & loked up front to see chit flying everywhere(dirt, wood, foam ect) so Ron pulls it over & we go "OH PHUCK" we limped it into George & an old timer called Les Schwab & let them know we were coming (they were closing), made it there on some crap road about 20 MPH they didn't have a tire they are not making that kind anymore haha go figure so they call their store in Euprata our friends went & picked up a a tire & dleivered it to us got it back on & we were on the road $150 later!! Just seen yesterday as we were leaving that our right rear shock is BUSTED right off just haning there so there's one more thing to fix!! I'm just glad we DIDN'T have the trailer full of quads w/ us!!
So anyway that was our "big adventure" this weekend
All in all we had a great time, we got a little vid I'll try to post later as for a few pics too nothging to exciting since you can't watch the race!!

Wow, sounds like DJ listened to my advise, "look out for that 1 rock" LOL
Sounds like Bobby didn't The ole' boy needs to take it easy........he is a hard headed Sandvig huh? img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Well I am still running stock rubber on the back. The tires that I am eyeing are the Maxis I Razr's. They don't have as much tread as the holeshots that you have but looks like it would be a kick a$$ trail tire. I think that a good tire should have a good gap between the lugs on the tires, lots of grip but slid easier. I doubt this helped but stick with Maxis

I might be up for a camping trip to Easton. That would be a good check out trip for the new to us camper.
Right now I have it in my bosses big workshop and am going to clean up all the vents and front seam and re-seal the roof so hopefully I have it all done by the time you guys are ready to go to easton.

I remember the first time we ever went down that trail, Kenny, (my boss) was the first one to venture down, I was right behind him. That was probably 3 yrs ago with peeps like, Nickli, Dinger, NWQuadFreak, OutcastJoe, BigDaddy and a few others that I can't recall at this time. I do remember Tailgater (Berta) stayed in the SUV, it was too cold and wet for her.

Of course this all depends on how she feels and how her surgery goes, wether we make the trip or not.

Looks like peeps are planning on April 29 - 30. Many will probably be arriving Friday afternoon and departing Sunday afternoon. I think you would love Easton, all types of terrain and then there's the "Full Throttle Hill Climb", it's not a matter if you can make it to the top, (you can't see the top), it's how far up the hill you can go before crashing

If you remember the spot where we split up, that's where the trail ended that we were looking for, go back to that spot and run the trail in the opposite direction that we rode it, then mark where the trail comes out on the road, that's what I'd like to do.
I'm up for that. Looks like the rain is going to be here for a while so get your air box fixed and I'm ready.

Looks like peeps are planning on April 29 - 30. Many will probably be arriving Friday afternoon and departing Sunday afternoon. I think you would love Easton, all types of terrain and then there's the "Full Throttle Hill Climb", it's not a matter if you can make it to the top, (you can't see the top), it's how far up the hill you can go before crashing hr>
It's still to cold out for us "tent" campers, but I'd like to check this place out. How long does it take to get there from my neck of the woods? If it's possible to make it an all day trip I'd like to check it out.

THANK YOU on the offer to haul a quad or 2 heck I suppose if we get them hauled up there I can't complain we will have to see though!! Still one shock short on the MH LOL don't want to abuse it more than needs to be!!
NIce sig BING img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> poor Julie if it means what I think ahahha
I'll yank you a shock off the bronco,,,,Julie doesn't use them
LOL Okie Dokie img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> we will probably go see our mechanic & see what he has in stock he's good like that!!! Pretty sure he'll be able to hook us up cheaper than a shop or anywhere maybe we will skip racing this weekend & work on getting that fixed???? Don't know we'll see!!!! Guess HAPPY B'DAY to me is going to be buying shocks for the MH ahhh isn't life grand the ol' killer riding pants will have to wait!!
you guys reduild bikes all day long,,,,but you need a mechanic to replace a shock????
what the heck is DJ,,,,is he the mechanic your talkin about
$20 bucks and a trip to schucks,,,,,fixed
Well NO Dj is not the MH mechanic that's a scary thing LOL Ron doesn't have the TIME to work on the MH so we take it to our buddy plus it's a rear shock dn't know if that'll be $20?? We will have to do some pricing around!! He already has to rebuild the floor ect so we'll see if that EVER gets done!!
We will get it fixed I don't want eveyrone to have to haul our stuff
