We're meeting for breakfast at "The Place", 8:00am, it's on 101, just before the 101 / 8 split, as you're traveling down the grade past Mud Bay Rd, you'll go over a little bridge with steel sculptured cows on the left, take the next exit, turn right, then left, restaurant is on right, there's also a sign for the restaurant just before the exit.
This ride will have some technical spots, but nothing too difficult. Everybody pitches in if somebody is having any problems and I myself will be riding at a slow pace. Since I turned 50, my wife wants me to stop trying to ride like I'm 20, she doesn't have to tell me, my body's doing that already

Dm, since it takes hours to download i have a suggestion! What about downloading when you go to work? That way you don't have to worry about holding up your phone line if that is the case, and you don't have to watch it move a inch ever hour. LOL Just an idea!

Most definitly interested in some weekday outings, need a few days notice so I can let SWMBO know I won't be available to hold her pursre while she tries on clothes. This normally occures on Tues and Wed which are her days off. This week is screwed up by Dr. stuff, also we are going over to the farm for a few days the first week of April.
45/70 Gvt is also one of my favorites. Have a Trapdoor and a TC in that cal. My current favorite for hunting is an original Sharps in 50-70 my oldest son found for me. We'll obviously have to talk about this stuff.

45/70 Gvt is also one of my favorites. Have a Trapdoor and a TC in that cal. My current favorite for hunting is an original Sharps in 50-70 my oldest son found for me. We'll obviously have to talk about this stuff.
I'm only 5 years younger than you and probablt abused my body worse than you did. I will give you as much notice as I can of any weekday rides. Weather doesn't look all that great for the near future anyway.
I also have an original "Trapdoor" and a Contender Super 14 (I also have a 223 and a 22 Hornet barrels for it), plus a Marlin 1895SS and a Ruger #1. I havea Mauser 1871/84 being converted to 45/70 also. I reload for them all, even using Black Powder sometimes. Yeah, we will have to talk.

Maybe.......I found mine cuz the sprocket came lose and i tryed to mexi rig it (that didn't work) so i replaced the seal and O-Ring RE-TORQUED the sprocket nut tighter than speck and haven't had a problem since......BR>

I guess you did not hear me when I spoke of this a few weeks ago huh? I was telling folks before the last TT race down there. They need 75 people paying $25.00 a day for practice to break even. It is a shame.

I usually ride much more durning the winter, haven't even been to Tahuya in over a year. Guess I need to fix it before the Rock Candy Ride.

As for indoor flattrack YES as of now anyway, that is in jeopardy also! Well the current owners are getting out I hear! There is Oakwood down south but they haven't been running flattracks I did talk to the track groomer down there & he said they are talking about getting a series up & going again that'd be nice it's a dingy little arena but at least it's racing img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Glad to hear everyone had fun at Moses!!
My sister in law, brother and myself took my 10 yr old nephew to RMC to practice indoor racing on Saturday. I was very surprised at how well he did on his motorcycle. We left at 4, which didn't make him happy. He wanted to stay there, and ride because he liked it so much. By the time we left he was jumping the table top and acouple of the jumps, on his kx65. I was amazed at how good some of the little kids are. The was a tiny little guy riding a automatic motorcycle and he lapped everyone. He must of only been 5. Now i have to look at the schedule to see when the motorcycles are practicing again down there. Sucks to hear that they are closing down Wide Open. I didn't see any signs saying that.
I did talk to a guy down there, he was saying that they are opening a kids race track at the darigold (SP) track in Snohomish. I haven't heard anything about that, but it sure would be nice, since it's closer. Not sure if it is quad friendly either, i didn't ask the guy.

When I spoke with Eric, he told me they averaged 130 riders a day for the first year it was open, it was a real money maker for them. When Mikey Faye got fired for keepin the bosses wife warm, the place went into the toilet. They now average 15-20 paying riders per day, and they are going backwards at the tune of 5K per month.

Yep same nephew. He will be 11 in May. His mom is actually selling the badger. We have had alot of problems with that thing. So she just wants to get rid of it. Sounds like one of my cousins is going to buy it, actually the same cousin that bought my 250x and blew it up twice. My nephew still wants the badger, but I just might have to buy him something down the road. It was MX at RMC on Saturday. I must saw the Wide open lounge has great drinks and food. My nephew is gong to be excited they have the Mx practice going on again this weekend. I'm going to take him on the 25 it looks like

Well saturday was fun Bing and Rckyman came over we rode around for a bit them my Chain had to snap ane fock up my case and all that jazz. This is a case for a lil farmer tech where one employes the service of JB weld Lucky there was a spare raptor i could go out and keep on riding. Bing tried to put put up one of the hills and didnt realize how slick the clay is till it was too late. My bunghole was puckering from the other side of the canyon I know his was in his spot. Potentially catastrophic situation trying to wrestly a quad when the grounds so steep and slick you cant stand up. he got it turned around and slide back down..

The way i understood it from the guy at RMC, he said you have to pay $200.00 then you get a key to the gate and you can ride whenever. I tried looking it up online and i couldn't find a link for dairyland.

Yes, a membership is a must, that is how you get your key to the gate to get in.

Been home for roughly 45 minutes, took the Pirate cycle in for a bubble bathBR>
I know this is hard to believe, but the old school racer is WAY FASTER than the "formally known as Missle of Death". Holy chit box Batman. This friggin quad flat hauls the MAIL! No doubt in my mind, what so ever, lots more eggs in the basket.
I have two things to report. First is good news, I did not have any "electrical problems" as stated by the previous owner. So I have a new coil and stator that he paid forBONUS!!!
The bad news...I think the previous owner forgot to mention a bent shift fork. As soon as it goes into third gear, it just slips the clutch and the motor revs. If you putt along just off idle in third, the clutch will grab until you grab a handful. My theroy is the bent shift fork is appying pressure thru the shaft on the pressure plate and partially engaging the clutch. I'm currently waiting to hear back from the "head pirate" himself to get his input on this matter.
