What??????? A couple is always more than 1, by definition (so the island education comes out). You can't have a couple of 1. But a couple is like a few, not a specific number other than more than 1. And Straddleline is only 5 minutes from Rock Candy, if you drive faster than island speed.

Gonna clean and the check the bowl on the Eddy carb, charge the battery, and change the oil and if it fires up and runs pretty, then I will probably take it to Oakwood with for sale $3500 obo, extra parts included.
Here is a list of what it has on it and extra:
434 Athena, with DRZ base gasket, Stainless valves, DRZ valve springs, port & polish, EBC Dirt Digger clutch, 2-Edelbrock carbs, White Brothers full exhaust, adjustable CDI
Elka tripple rates with rezzies(should be rebuilt soon), JD Performance +2 a-arms(should have bushings replaced soon), Elka double rate rear with remote rezzie, Durablue2+2 axle
Trail tech X-bars and adaptor, EZ-pull clutch, Honda thumb throttle, Alba nerfs, race trimmed plactics
18in Kenda MX rears, 20in razr fronts, could include well used american racers
Cheech PART it out on E-bay......... You'll get more for it hr>
I thought about that but if I break the bike down then I will want to put some of those good parts on Lu's Dvx and she said don't mess her bike up! So I think selling it as a whole ready to mx package is the best.

A couple is like a few? So a married couple is more than two? I always consider a couple as two.
And a few miles, or so, is like a farsee. You know, go two farsees (as far as you can see) and turn right.

I have seen married couples that weren't 2 a time or two. But then I remember the 60s and 70s........sometimes.

Every cop in the world has heard the "couple of beers" or "a few beers" from the guy who can hardly stand up. Their real response should be, "But officer, Of course I'm driving. I'm to drunk to walk."

A crusty old sailor once told me that in reference to beer, a couple is anywhere between 2 and 22.

Ok 20 over the limit, which is 60 mph, means 80 mph to cover 6 miles should have taken you just over 4 1/2 minutes. Yet you claim it took forever to get there. Shame on you for fibbin', whichever time you did.BR>

How can there be a elk hanging in your barn, when it hasn't even opened yet? Are you being a poacher? LOL I hope you have it in a cooler, and not out in this weather.

I attended the IAC's meeting in Olympia on OHV noise issue. Of course there was never a study done to prove there was a noise issue, but that is beside the point. Every one needs to go to the link in the following narrayive and input you feelings thru the survey. The core group behind this issue are the same people that got Thurston County to pass a 56db noise law on OHVs only. This level is impossible to meet and now they are pushing for the same thing state wide. So you input is vital.
To persons interested the "ORV Noise Solutions" project,
I am writing to provide the following information:
1. Introduction to the noise study
2. Workshop questionnaire now available on-line.
3. ORV Noise Solutions Workshop notes available soon.
-----------------------------
1. Introduction to the ORV Noise Solutions project. In 2005, the state Legislature formed an ORV Noise Management Task Force to investigate issues relating to ORV noise and access to public and private lands. In 2006, to follow-up on the Task Force's work, the Legislature conducted hearings that led to a directive instructing the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation (IAC) to provide recommendations for addressing "excessive noise from ORVs." Specifically, IAC was to review existing laws, provide recommendations on equipment for enforcement, model ordinances, education, and a grant program.
In response, an IAC staff committee selected an outside seven person advisory committee to help. The advisory committee includes persons representing the points of view of residents impacted by noise, ORV recreation, policy formation, law enforcement, and noise-acoustics. Most advisory committee members also actively participate in ORV recreation. Next, IAC circulated a request for proposals for a consultant to conduct public workshops, address associated tasks, and draft preliminary options-recommendations. The request was circulated three times before a highly qualified consultant was identified.
Once the consultants' (actually two firms, ESA-Adolfson Associates and Geomatrix Consultants, Inc.) work is complete, expected by mid-November, IAC will continue to work with the advisory committee and interested members of the public to finish the report for presentation to the Legislature when it meets in 2007.
The Adolfson-Geomatrix collaborative has outstanding credentials, including their past work, understanding of the issues, and impartiality. Together, the team is expert in a wide range of environmental noise impact assessment methods, public outreach techniques, and in developing policies and programs.
2. Questionnaire. The questionnaire used as the basis for the two "noise" workshops, Lacey (10/10/06) and Ellensburg (10/19/06), is providing IAC with much valuable information. In order to involve as many interested parties as possible, we are now making it available on-line. Just click this link (some may need to paste the link into their web browsers): http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=491542728878 We hope you will distribute the link to others interested in this project before it closes shortly after 5 pm on November 6. Most people complete the questionnaire in about 10 minutes or less
3. Workshop notes. I have just passed the draft notes from the Lacey "noise workshop" to IAC's web specialist who says the notes will be posted to the following link in the next day or so. Please save this link - we will use it to keep you updated as this project progresses: http://www.iac.wa.gov/Documents/IAC/Grants/NOVA/orv_noise_solutions.htm
If you would like further information on any of the above items please contact me,

If not, I'll resell them.
They are the red ones off the new black 450R.
Just getting them for looks, not performance.

Jayna of course people DON'T know how to drive in the rain we live in WA state hahaha
Looks like winter is here now YUCK not ready for the rain yet!! Plus all the dang leaves everywhere!! WE have a "walnut" tree(not sure of hte correct name but it does grow walnuts that is bombing the house everyday again, does it every year about this time, they come off & drop on the roof!! Sounds like we are at war!! Then they are laying all over the yard to kick around, slip on, ect. I'll probably find a bunch in my pond too!! The poor pond is all covered w/ leaves now too, Good Night for the winter fishies img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I did get a grab bar, Finally. Got it off Ebay, but the doorknob shop took 3 weeks, 3 emails(no response) and 2 phone calls to finally get it to me. It's black to match the nerfs and bumper. Have to see how well it holds up.
Haven't had a chance to look at the laptop. I will get to it soon.

LMAO... Grab bar on a sport quad is the U shaped deal that sticks out behind the seat.. a Wheelie bar is a contraption for drag racing that has a wheel that bolts on to the back of the quad and sticks a few feet behind to prevent the dragsters from flipping over.

Hidi Ho PSAR, I haven't really been on here in a few weeks and I am not even going to try and ketchup. Went hunting last weekend and we are migrating to another domain and Exchange 2K3 at work. Stayed home this morning to wait for the new hut tub cover to be delivered. They were supposed to be here between 0800 and 1000. But I just called em and they are in Seattle so it doesn?t look like I will be working today, which just means I will have more to do tomorrow. Hope everybody is doing ok.

If your lucky it's noon-5pm. Sometimes I hear the reps on the other side of the room from me giving next week, all day commits. That would P.O. me as a customer for certain. Unfortunately, customer service is a dying or already dead concept, especially for most bigger outfits. Too bad that's what they choose to sacrifice in the name of the bottom line.

Here is my problem.. Time = money.. if you tell me your gonna be there at 9am. i have to take off work. and you show up late.. thats bullchit. and i should be entitled to bill them $40 an hour for my time to wait on them
Posted by: warriorqueen
I had the same problem happen to me. I can't remember what company it was but they told me that they would be there between noon and 5. They NEVER showed up. I was pissed as hell, because i had to take a full day off work to fit there schedule. I called into the company and asked to speak with the Manager. We went back and forth and I basically told him to put himself in my shoes, be the customer, how would you feel. Soooo they gave me the installation charge for free and if i can remember right, they gave me a month free of service. When they came out the next time, they were early.

I really don't have to be here they are just dropping off a cover, but for 490 smackers i want to be here and make sure it fits before they take off. Thier shop is in lynwood.

Preaching to the choir my friend. I am just a low level cog in the nasty monstrosity of the corporation. Can't even fight it from the inside. Tried and been impaled for it more than once. Apparently, that's above my pay grade.
But now you know why I am so adamant about supporting businesses with GOOD Customer Service and taking my dollars away from the BAD customer service ones. It's the loudest voice I have.

Actually, that will kinda suck because once they have a retail presence in the state you will have to pay taxes on purchases from the online store.

So the spa lid shows up about 1500, I put it on and it fits great, she is all wiped clean with a new lid I fill it full of water (it's a 500 Gallon Tub) turn on the juice, tub fires up. The heater is running and I hit the jets. The 2nd pump is air locked which i kinda figured would happen to I take a pair of channel locks and loosen the pipe air lock is free and everything is running great I go to tighten the pipe back down and bust the plastic plug off the pump. so I stand up to notice that when I hit the jets it blew all kinds of nasty floaties (filled the tub with nasty chit) Now I have to drain it wipe it down again. pull the pump get a new plug and do it all over again

Good Grief what a chatty group! Been gone since last Friday and did the "Ketchup" (to quote a local chatty person) thing. Folks having birthdays, happy wishes to these, Jenna in the hospital, prayers and best wishes of course, dirty tee shirt stories, not gonna get involved with that but would say that small packets of baby wipes work wonders , warning from Bear about another grab by the opposition, needs prompt action with letters to elected officials, rides and rants, all worth knowing about.
Our visit to the farm was fun with a day spent making tamales, Daughter-in-law teaching new skills to the other cooks. Win/win situation from my point of view. They made chicken, pineapple and bean tamales. Three big steamers full. Ate a bunch and still lots in the freezers. We had a couple of big gatherings of family and friends, had to go buy twenty plates to have enough to go around, and ate way too much good stuff.
One of the tailgate cables on the S-10 broke while I was unloading my quad at the farm. Good thing the other one held so their was no damage other than the cable. I had had it inspected just a couple of months back per the recall Chev had issued. Shop here in Seattle said the cables were fine and they would not be replaced. Took it to a dealership in The Dalles and they replaced them. Rotten customer service, took it in at 0830 and it was to be out in an hour. Got it back at noon. By the time I got done complaining, which I started at 1000, they had offered me a free oil change and wash with detail. Told them it would be a cold day in ell when I would trust a shop so poorly run to do any more work on any of our rigs. There was a letter of apology in the mail when I got back to Seattle. They want me to stop at their dealership to "discuss this situation". Like that's gonna happen. End of Rant.
Bottom line on this is I did find out you do not have to settle for having the cables inspected as suggested. If you have one of the recalled pickups, and they said everything from '92 thru '04 were on the list, you can tell them you want the new stainless cables and they will put them in for you. Dealerships don't like doing it because they loose money on the change-out.
Bear: Did you fill the freezer yet? Ready for a ride during the week next week? Anyone else?

Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago on my '01 Sierra, except both went out on me as I was putting the 700 V-Force in the back. It flipped over on me and messed me up pretty bad. I now have a metal eye socket and a screwed up back from it. I was not fun. I had no knowledge of the recall.

You might want to do some searching on the web but I believe there was a class action lawsuit on this because of injuries and damage resulting from cable failures.

Good morning PSAR
Corgi dog is sick today. No visits for him this weekend. We spent the past week at the farm and I suspect he found something "special" to dine on. No fever and his eyes look good just has the squirts and kind of laying around. Even made a mess on the floor. First time in a long time for that.
This reminds me, how is Moose dog doing OFC?

Hope corgi gets to feelin better. as long as he is still eating and drinkin squirts aint that bad.
Moose is doing awsome. gaining weight and has ridiculous energy. hopefully he will move back to dog food. the whole having to make him meatloaf or a roast or a chicken or turkey or whatever and then mix it with rice and pumkin and squash and green beans and potatos and pasta is a pain in the butt. Pluss he has 23 more days of doxycylclen or however you spell it.

Good luck getting him back on plain old dog food. We fed the mutt that kind of a diet when we first got him. He was sick, underweight and had been very badly treated. Got used to the good food and was really upset when we went back to a maintenance type diet once he was at a good weight and healthy. Took about three months of mixing the two food together and slowly moving to the dry food the vet advised to get the transition done. Any quick moves messed with his digestive system. Takes awhile when they have been in bad shape.

I haven't had time to get sand tires on and pack, etc. so bagged SL. Angie and I will be heading up to Walker instead. Since she isn't an expert rider, I would imagine you will have no problem keeping up with our pace. Gonna stop for breakfast on the way up and pack a lunch since it will be nice weather.
You guys should go! Should be a good day for a good easy ride. img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> Anyone else?

Jayna, I'm thinking of riding next Sunday, the 29th. Wanna go?
Anyone else?
Walker? Darrington?
Taking my friend Rod (he went to Naches Trail with Larry and me) and his wife. Both fairly inexperienced trail riders.

Hondablue was on his way to Straddleline when he left the freeway to dump his blackwater tank............
He seems to have lost his transmission going up a hill.........bummer!
I understand he has been towed back to Lakewood where he works at a transmission shop, last I talked to him he had the tranny half out.....he still is planning on making it to straddleline this afternoon, for an overnight
Good Luck Josh!

any trails wide enough for the DS?
Posted by: LdyJay
I dunno, a few of the first bridges would be kinda tight, you might have to ride the border logs a bit. Unlike Rock candy there aren't any tall railings on the bridges. There were some big utes out there if I recall. I've only ridden up there once so there might be someone who knows the area that can give a better answer. Don't you know how to go 'round?

Yup, he sure do. And Bear has the pictures.

Dazeys would know if the DS can make the trails.
If I remember correctly, looking through my rain covered goggles, it should fit. Skllz was with us on his DS and we followed Dazeys everywhere.
We are talking of Walker, right?

Oh yeah sold the KGB today first person that looked at it at the track. Going to a 16yr old girl that wants to race Hannegan and Oakwood.
Looks like I have some money for Raptor ModsBR>
But on a bad note I am scheduled to have our 10 month old Weimeriener see a surgeon on monday cuz she has really bad hip dysplacia, and with $4K a hip and the chance she could need two, I'm telling Lu we will look into and listen to all the options but that is alot of money for a dog that would still have to live who knows how long and in pain and suffer.
