Va is a big state, where are you. In the Northern part there is GW Natl Forest with a few riding areas. If your in the Tidewater area you're out of luck. If you're in SW go to Hatfield-McCoy Trail in WV.
There's not much riding in Va.

Hey. I live in Dinwiddie County. From you, you would get on 95 South to 85 South then get off on the 460 exit (west) and I'm about 10 miles up the road past the Wal Mart Distribution Center. I've got some trails at my house and my neighbor has 1600 acres with trails. He is kind of sketchy about letting people get out there because it is planted pines and doesn't want them to burn up by people smoking etc.. I've been all around the state riding. From VA Beach racing on the sand to GWNF Pedlar trail, rocky run trail, and to Hatfield McCoy WV. They are all great. You are close to Burchams. I know they have a list of areas to ride there. Ok I'm pretty busy right now due to the storms that hit. ( I work for Verizon) and this weekend I'm going to the River house up in Lancaster (Northern Neck) After that we can ride if you want! Sounds good. No the wife doesn't ride. She wants to get an ATV but I just bought another new tractor I needed to make some bigger jumps! I'm 25 and she's almost 26. I already have 2 kids * 3 yrs old boy and an 19 month old girl*. My son is next in line for a quad to tell you the truth. Once he learns to ride a bike I'll buy him a quad. I'm afraid that he will never learn to ride a bike if I just go out and buy him a quad. Does that make sense? Bringing your BF would work. Near the Blacksburg area the best riding is at the FREE Pinnnacle Creek area. It has a lot of every type of ridding ya could want. Plus good stores and places to camp. If ya need more info let me know!

mot much ridin around the Norfolk area. couple of private tracks out where i live in Suffolk. supposed to be a park opening out in Glouchester some time soon...may have fallen through though.
i usually end up riding in NC.

You are about 2 hours below me on I95, not sure you want to drive this far north.
I ride a couple of private MX tracks and a semi-public MX practice track in Tappahanock, VA that the owner charges $15 per day. I've ridden at Tomahawk MX track in WV (tomahawkmx.com), Buds Creek, and Mountaineer MX Park in WV. For me, the MX tracks in WV are less than 100 miles.
What kind of quad do you have and what kind of riding do you like? The MX practice track in Tappahanock is about half way between us on the east side of Richmond if you are interested.

well I only ride for fun, I wish I could race but I dont', I have a yamaha kodiak, I think I know the place u are talking about in Tapp, is it called VA Sports Park? if so I was gonna ride out there today to check it out, they are having any open practice from 10am to 7pm. do u know of any trailing ride places? I would drive out there. if there is some trail riding. and if there are races to watch. I love to watch Mx racing.. let me know. do u have any chat programs? I have yahoo, msn, aim, if you do maybe we could chat sometime. I can't seem to seen u a private message.

there is a place in surry, va. but you do have to be a member and I'm not sure if they are allowing any new members. here is the phone of the people that own the land. they own a shop in Hampton, va. 757-825-9269. if u decide to become a member and interested in riding please let me know. I am always looking for people to go riding with. its hard to find people to go riding with.

It seems I can't send PM messages dunno why, so have to post here. so how much land do you have to ride on? I don't smoke so I couldn't bother the pine trees.LOL. I purchased my 4 wheeler from the burchams and I ask Bucky (owner) where he rides and he did tell me in dinwiddie, but have to know the land owners. he did tell me about one place in chesterfield, but the guy stop letting people ride on his land. I do have one place to ride in Surry Va, (not slades). it another place but u have to become a member. but I am looking for more places to ride & people to ride with. if u are serious about letting me ride on ur land. let me know when I can ride and I am there.

ok I understand, I am 34.does your wife ride as well? that would be nice to have another female to ride with.. my boyfriend has a 4 wheeler as well, so he could come with me if you don't mind. I think that would make things alot easier for both of us.. but I do have to tell you that he doesn't ride as much as me, so I thought maybe the first time of meeting he could come with me and we could meet you & your wife.. just hope that she would have a problem with me riding with you if he can't come with me some of the times.. sorry to post this here but I dunno how to make the PM messages work.. soooooo... anyways just lemme know when we can come out there.. I really appreciate you letting me ride out there.. its so hard to find places and people to ride with. well talk to u soon.
