Or what other kind of riding is there?

Yeah, usually at Montesa now. There was another place that I used to go to also but alot of non riders would go there as well and cause trouble. That eventually lead to the police raiding and barrecading the place.

vtwiner there is all kind of riding at southern trails hillclimbs and dunes you could go all day and never go over
the same trail. We like to get a early start now that it's summer because of the heat. Check your pm.

Hello!....I just bought a KFX400 a couple months ago, and have been riding at Montessa every weekend......
I'd like to check out the area at the end of Southern, but could use some detailed directions (coming from Kirtland AFB)......
Also, are there any good trails around the Sante Fe or Pecos area?.......
Thanks in advance!.....

Well, I posted this thread last week and nobody replied which confirms my belief that I might be the only one in New Mexico who knows how to use a computer.

Hi Harv..
Theres not much in the way of dunes here in Espanola, mostly arroyos that lead up to some beautiful mountain trails that stretch as far as your gas will let you go. I just bought a v-force and am getting anxious to find out how this thing would do at montesa park"i think thats what it's called", in Albuquerque. Is that where you usually go riding?

Hey deck357...
I have never been to Raton myself, but I asked my wife who had been there several times and told me that it is about a 2 hour drive between Espanola and Raton. That seems a little far for me but if you ever find yourself in the Espanola area, look me up and we can go tear up some trails. Take care....

Thanks ridingforhiding...
I've been itching to go riding at Montesa and you say the end of Southern in Rio Rancho huh.. I'll have to check that one out. What kind of riding do you have there? I'll look you up when I go that way. Thanks.

Hi BogSpores...
As far as Santa Fe goes, there doesn't seem to be many riding areas worth the trip for you. I've never been to Pecos, but if you're willing to go about 30 miles north of Santa Fe there are lots of places. The place I ride the most is 31 mile road. Its an old logging road that stretches between Espanola and Abiquiu. It takes you through beautiful mountain ranges and has many side trails that go through streams and lead to old abandoned houses that were probably last used in the 1800's. 31 mile rd. would make a great atv camping trip or just a good afternoon ride. It seems to me that the farther north you go. the more places there are to ride. Red River has great riding opportunities and Near Sipapu ski area is another great place. If you ever find yourself up north and want a riding buddy, P.M. me and I'll be there!
Ps.. Guys.. lets keep each other informed of new riding areas ok?
