Did you find the area with the jumps. I was heading out when it started to rain on us. We headed further south and rode for about 30 mintues till it started raining. Give me a call when you have a chance. I Ride with my wife and Hirman (I met him on this board). We are planing a trip up north in the coming weeks. We are ride sport machines, I have an 250r, Hiram has a Raptor and my wife rides an ATC 125m.

Tours? You have to be kidding. There are hardly any legal riding places in South Florida, the only tour you'll be getting is of the Dade-county detention center.
If you don't already have an ATV and live in South Florida, forget about and buy a street bike unless you are willing to drive 3 - 5 hours minimum each way to Naples or Ocala on the weekends to ride.

rawd7, I would suggest just doing it yourself. The atv parts dealers down here are going to take you for a ride.
First they are going to overcharge you for the pipe ($300+) and act like they are giving you a great deal, then they are going to change you about $80 to install it and in the end you are going to have to rejet it yourself because the best they could do is guesstimate without taking it out or running it on a dyno.
The honest truth is that half the fun of owning a quad is working on it, and work you will because they require constant attention.

We ususally ride at the levy 136 and krome but it's getting boring so we've been going out to naples.

First of all welcome aboard.
Riding in Miami, you will soon find out that Miami isn't the best place to ride. You have a few places but none are really legal.
My suggestion, get a good trailer and plan on driving to Naples and Ocala alot.

I'm going to work like crazy to get my quad together for this weekend, I have a ton of new mods to install. If you know me you know that I usually have to have a new mod for every ride. I just hope it's not muddy. We need to go out to an MX track and have some real fun.

I usually ride off of Krome Ave. and 136 st out by the Levy, but this weekend will be instead going out west to Naples to ride the squares.

The levy is a 2 mile long dirt levy along a canal with trails all up and down it, but to ride on or next to the canal is property of Water & Waste Management and technically illegal even though lots of people ride there usually 20- 30 quads get together and ride and drag race there, there has been times the police or the waste management sends you home.

I'm up and running with just a few jetting changes needed so this Sunday I plan to ride out by the Levy so all are welcome, I usually depart from my house around 9:00 am and meet with two other friends at SW 136 st. on the east side of Krome and the Rail Road tracks right in front of the power substation.

Boy, what a work out from Sunday's riding/pushing (I need new tires) man that mud was some slippery stuff, wish I would of had a camara we might off had some good pics right now and with all the beer we drank all we needed to really make it a guys day out was a mud wrestling match with bikini model babes in the middle of that mud hole dmljohnson fell/sat in.

Your not to far from the Air Dania MX track. I'm pretty sure they have a web site. When I go back to Hollywood to visit my parents I always drag them over there. The track is awesome, better then any track we have out here in So. Cal. You should check it out. Good choice buying the Z400 too. Your going to love it.

yeah i found the area it was pretty cool . i was riding earlier today a lil up north on okechobee and krome by some fishing place. there were about 30 plus people. there were lots of sport bikes and some of those hunting 4x4 atv's.

well its basically a narrow road with lots of lil dips which are kinda fun when ur flying down the road. to the left and to the right of the road is mudd. which is fun if you dont mind getting dirty. i have not explored the whole area but the road is never ending. i was running low on gas so i had 2 turn around. but overall if you like speed(hehe)then you might like the place.

I ride at the levy and cops just pass by no problems there and people just rideing down Krome Ave. never seen anyone get stopped also my friend says the everglades is good for trails and mud but ive never gone riding so not sure if its good once i start driving in the summer im gonna try to go out one day to the squares ive heard its good

nah, what it is, is that some guys told me they were riding on a wednesday out there and the cops give them a warning ticket, they was racing their shee's out there, and what they said was the second one will be a ticket.....

guys we all went riding on Sunday reguardless of the rain, it held up pretty good on Sunday, although Hiram got stuck, i fell on my A@# in the dam mud, trying to pull him out, smokie raptor kept sucking in water like a dam pipe, had to stop and lift the bike and drain out water, out of the plug, but it was great, everytime we stop we had a few drinks, boy i was beat....heh Rob..you miss a great time man, looking forward to meet more of you guys on the next trip,

oh..when we was at the levy , the cops give us all warning and sent us down, behind the homestead race track to ride, we met other quads out there and the same cops, but they were cool with us, since we wasnt little kids that would run from them, although it sound like fun.....them guys was out there with 4x4's about 6-8 of them, one of the cops was just looking for an excuse to write one of us up, but we all played it cool, even he was a real a@# hole about it, we still kept our cool, the rest of the cops relized we are all adults and carreer ppl, just looking to ride after a weeks hard work, so they were real cool after wards, after all the trouble we were having i was telling myself maybe we shouldnt have ride today for real......but it turn out real good, havent clean my bike as of yet, but will do that today.......heh rob but you should of been there, you would of laugh your a@# off, when we made couple wrong turns, we had a couple following us, they got tired of us stopping, but every time we stopped i hang out with Randy and Frank, cause they had the beers....i think i did more drinking than riding that day, maybe cause of the weather.....and you would not believe i stopped drinking years ago....wow...but it was clean fun, no one got hurt....

Hi guys,
I was hoping you guys can help me out. I wanted to add some stuff to my Atv and i don't know of any places (dealers) around the miami area. Whats a good place i can take my Atv to, so they can add a pipe and reget etc...? I don't have the time right know to do my own modifications to my Atv.

Hey whats up. I also live in Miami Lakes. Have you tried riding at the bridge, The one that goes over I-75, they have some trails and the bridge is good to drag on. The bridge is the one Next to Barbara Goleman Senior High. Do you know of any other good places to ride at?

a high school. The place is mostly white sand and lots of piles of it "aprox 20ft" nice place to ride BUT again not legal wich in a way makes kinda funBR>

Any Riders in Ft.Lauderdale?
I use to Race back in New England. I raced at Motox 338 in Southwick, but prefer woods, trail riding.
I am looking for a quad here in Florida, but after reading about the lack of riding areas, I am getting second thoughts. I have been to Dania, but riding in a loop every week gets boring and I am not looking for competative riding.
Let me know about any area nearby. My Brother has a place in The Acreage in Royal Palm beach..any riding there?

hi iknow a place were you can ride, its kinda far from were u live its about a 30-40minute drive but it is worth it . you take the turnpike down to 8th st kroome ave, there is lots of trees and mud to ride in there since i live near thats were i ride. theres over 10,000 acres of trees and mud and rocks to ride there, u should trie it out.

http://www.l-cross.com/ this place is in okeechobee and they have a mudfest every third weekend.Its a good place to ride 4 wheelers only,no 3 or 2 wheels.Camp and spend the whole weekend for $30 a head .live bands at night too.We love it.
