I might join you guys for a ride sometime if you set a date. Otherwise, please post driving directions to a good trail head and parking area. Sounds like fun! My dad lives in Wagoner and we have friends at Tenkiller, so we get up there sometimes.

Havent seen Oklahoma as a topic lately, so I decided to start one again. We ride in the San Bois Mountain range. It goes from Wilburton to Poteau. LOTS of excellent trails with creeks and rocks. If anyone is interested let me know. You dont have to have 4wd, but it absolutely helps and is a plus.

607607, I emailed you. Hunts1 how often do you ride? Thats a pretty long trip for you to come down isnt it? If you want to come let me know. We welcome anyone who wants to ride! We will take you up on coming over there to ride. I have been around Clarksville (I think) a couple of years ago, but have not been back. We go every weekend so let me know. David

Well..........here goes- They span from Wilburton to Poteau. There is a new hwy(82) that splits the mountain range. We call it either the "west" side or "east" side. We ride on the east usually. We are told that there are 14,000 acres on the east and 90,000 on the west. It is owned by Wauhauser(sp) out of Arkansas. Miles and miles of trails. Old cabins(still in use during hunting season), creeks, hills, mountains and anything else that comes along with trailriding.....except deep mud ! We go usually every weekend and some people showed interest, so we are trying to go this Sunday. Email me if you need more info or are interested. David

Rode a hill Sunday that 2 "rock crawler jeeps" couldnt climb. Dont know if it was due to steepness or snow or maybe both. This "hill" is huge. Several hundreds of yards long.

The guys I ride with just call it the "pipeline", but yes it does have "3" stages. Very steep and rocky.....what did you think of it?

Are you talking about the hill thats called 3 stage ?

Hey Okiedude:

Please tell me more about San Bois Mountain Range. I'm in Jenks and would love to hear more. I've been riding Appalachia Bay @ Keystone, but that's getting too familiar.

I heard a few years ago that Public Service Company, now American Electric Power, had right-of-ways in select locations that could be riden. They didn't advertise or encourage, but would not run you off if you were not doing stupid stuff. Has anyone heard of this?

Look at the pictures on my web. Many good places to ride close to Hot Springs.

Have you ever ridden on the South Canadian River. Look for some one with info about
the river up around OKC and west.

Thanks in advance

Hey Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas riders,

Shoot me some mail I have just bought a new 2003 Rancher and want to put it on some trails. I've been through the 2 Stroke stage and performance 2 wheel drive w 4 wheelers and been out of the mix a while. Just bought the Rancher a few months ago to play on. Been to little sahara but that is not the ideal place for these 4 wheel drives, they should be in the trees, on the Rocks or in the Mud. I live up in Blackwell but am willing to drive a ways to ride on some good trails. There is an area at Kaw lake that is pretty fun for a day or a couple hours but all my old 4 wheelin buds don't have wheels anymore or are still into the 2 stroke high speed mode. Not that their is anything wrong with that but I've taken a new direction. Still love the Dunes but my brothers now have buggies and I just go to cruise around and follow them on my 4x4.
Shoot me some mail and lets try to do something
email is in my profile
Thanks
Batman

we are going to be in oklahoma for a family reunion over labor day weekend and we would like to know where we can ride in the poteau area. Trails that are open to the public .. or close to lake wister state park.

Posted by: kisses1967

there are a lot of good mudding areas around longview texas, and I've seen many replys on here about some good spots around broken bow. I have yet to be to any of them. I read that you can get a map a land use permit and a trail map at any walmart or gas station in that area. I just wish I could find something up around Wister Lake.
