I have never ridden my ATV's there, but we used to go up there in my uncle's IH Scout. There were some hills we would walk in front of the Scout with rocks to throw under the tire in case it got away..come to think of it, that was probably pretty stupid and dangerous...

Has anyone ridden their ATV at Kelly Flats west of Fort Collins Colorado? I took my new Griz for a ride there last Sunday. That is one gnarly ride up the first couple of hills towards the south gate. "Heart-attack hill" was pretty nasty at the beginning, it was tough to find a line that wouldn't try to flip you backwards. I only went about 3-4 miles in because it was getting late in the day, definitely worth the trip though. Apparently Kelly Flats is one of the toughest Jeep trails in Colorado. I'll probably be going to Moab, Utah in a few weeks to do some wheelin' there.

That road is amusingly named 'Coronary bypass'
Been there a few times with the Jeep, never took the quads up that way.

I'm spending time on 2 wheels and teaching my son to ride 2 as well. IN a while, once he shows some proficiency, we will include 4 into the mix.
I insist he learns to ride and respect 2 wheels first. Just a hangup of mine, I think starting on 4 does not teach you to respect the machine as dangerous quite as well.
