I've heard you can ride at the Indiana dunes. I haven't been there, YET.

The guy I talked to must have been full of it then cuz he said that's primary riding spot. He was 30+ so I figured he knew what he's talking about. Maybe there's a designated area in the dunes to ride?

I seem to be 3 hrs from anywhere. 3 Hrs north is Silver Lake, 3 HRS south is the Badlands. About the same east and west. Do you know of Anything closer to South Bend IN?

I went out to the Indiana Dunes and tried to ride, but the DNR caught me and said it was not legal.
Not sure where ligonier is, but i'll look into it. Thanks
And but the way, the Z is awsome.

That was over a year ago, but they told me there was no designated ATV rideing there.

I tell you what.. this post ticks me off for 2 reasons. One.. I lived in Warsaw till a month ago and was always looking for people to ride w/. Now I am in MN and can't find anyone up here to ride w/. Two... you have a Z!!!! That's just ain't right. I want one so bad, but can't justify trading in the '01 Warrior for one, and can't afford to buy one straight out.
Anyway... I can't be any help to you. I looked everywhere and can't find anything up there. I know there is a off-road group in Ligonier that may be able to help you out, and a MX track in N. Webster, which is hardly ever open but on the east side of the track you can climb a little hill and get in. No one cares, and I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble.
Best of luck.

I have also, always had the understanding that there was no legal riding at Indiana Dunes. Just at Silver Lake Dunes.

You're both right.
We've got so many idiots ripping up every two track piece of land between the Badlands and Silver Lake; but nobody seems to give a rip about simply clearing out the tree-infested LEGAL trails that are already established(uhhhh, MAYBE this would help just a little?)
Bottom line: our sport has more than it's share of people who 'love to ride' but don't give a rip about the riding politics that are ruining our sport.
