My son and I just got back from Iron River,we put anywhere from 50 to 120 miles a day on the wheelers, did the whole Valhalla loop, lots of scenery, trails are from sandy loose bermed corners,to hard pack and whooped out hills. Plenty of variety to keep you on your toes if you ride hard and fast. Just watch out for all the bear poop on the trails, it really sticks to your tires !!! We have stayed at Tri Lake Timbers campground the last couple of years,it is right on the trail, you can drive right from your camp site, rent a cabin,or even stay in town, the trail goes right by the edge of town, you can take off from your hotel parking lot.VERY ATV friendly area, all stores and gas stations are glad to see you and your business. Be sure to hit the Open 26,a side play area with large sand hills to climb (and get stuck on)plus race trails all over to run and test your machine. Mid week is best, almost no trail traffic, you can ride all day and barely see anyone, weekends can see anything from large tour groups of 4WD large ATVs to dirt bike kamakazi racers blowing around the corners at warp speed,so keep your eyes open on the sharp curves. The only problem this year was flies!! millions of large blue flies covering all your stuff, not the biting type, but they pester the heck out of you, shady areas and night time they are not out,but sunny areas are thick with them this year, don't know why, never saw them before !!! Other than that, rode myself sore, and my son loved every mile of it.

I went last fall to Iron River which is like 7miles east of Brule. We put on 150miles that weekend and never saw the same trail. It was a very good time and the one nice thing about WI is that they love ATV'ers at least in Iron River. If you ever want to go for a ride let me know, E-mail me at StitchZR2@hotmail.com.
Thanks
