I heard the same thing. From what I understand, the owners of sportland in bloomington own some land somewhere around peoria and are making a riding place. At first it will only be open to private members that they invite only, but in the coming years they want to open it up to the public. The person I got this from is good friends with the sportland people and seemed to know what he was talking about. Will have to wait and see I guess....that is all I know.

I have not heard about this. I'll ask around and see what turns up. I had a ATV safety course help at Peoria Speedway and we rode behind there. Lots of trails. As far as I know it's state land but the instructor did'nt know for sure. Saw other riders also. We sure need a riding area.

I don't know if its legal or not. We didn't get in trouble while riding with the class. The instructor seemed ok with riding in this area. We parked at the right end of the speedway, just about to the woods.

I bought my Grizzly from Sportland, i'll ask them on Friday when i'm in town. We need a place to ride!

I asked them about the land and they denied it. But, maybe its a business venture and they are keeping mum.

The state has grants for people to start ohv parks and i've heard that sometimes the grant will pay for alot of acerage, so all we need is for sum1 to try it.
