Where are all of the Utility riders in upstate NY? Our group of about 20 riders has about 100 miles of private trail to ride on near Oneonta NY. Sorry, but our trails are only available to ride on if you have a guide. Our group has obtained special permission from landowners to ride on these trails and respect the landowners rules while on their land.
Just wondering if there are any local riders on these forums.

Hey Slot--- I live in the Beechwoods, near Callicoon, and was wondering where the trails in Monticello are. We have trails on this side of the county, but most are in North Branch and very had to get to w/o going on the county roads or going on private land. Thanx ALOT! Trail Blazer in Upper Beechwoods

Slot- sorry about the late reply, we went down to NJ for vacation. I ride an Artic Cat 250 2x4. I think that it's very unlikely that I can get to Monticello on a 4 wheeler--when I got back I took a long ride to see if there was a way to get to there, and it seems like there not a way is a way. Tomarrow I will take a day ride to see if i can get there. TrailBlazer in the Upper Beechwoods

Hey Slot, I live in Connecticut but I grew up in Fallsburg and my folks still live up there. I come down once or twice everyother month or so. I'll be down April 19 I think maybe we could hook up and ride for a few hours. I'm pretty new to riding, not sure if I can keep up with all that mud but I would love to give it a shot!!! Let me know if you will be around that weekend.
see ya Franco

Ron,
Are the trails in Corning open to bikes?
If so, I'm very interested in a day trip.
I'm in Rochester, so I'm looking at a 2 hour drive to Corning. Well worth it for an afternoon on the trails BR>
Let me know.
Thanks,
Doug

Hey Joel, I live in Binghamton, used to work in Oneonta years ago. I still get that way every now and again, would love to check out that area sometime. Let me know if you have anything running. Thanks.

Hey Ron,
I see you're in Corning....not bad at all. I'm in Almond, about 1 hour west of you on 17/86. I'm interested in discussing the possibility of obtaining riding privileges on your trails.
I also have some other friends locally who are looking to expand their riding territory as well....some of them own larger utility quads, while others have small atvs comparable to mine.
I'd understand if you want to keep your trails private....but if you're open to having other riders around, I'd be interested in hearing your ground rules and more than willing to sign any waivers freeing you from any liabilities.
Most of my friends are semi-agressive riders....that doesn't mean that my friends (including myself) take chances beyond the laws of physics and human abilities. We are all in our late 20's and early 30's (most of us have families) and we try to get together a handfull of times during the good months. This translates into us not wearing out our welcome and not eroding your trails. Basically, we try to have fun with our quads....sure, we want to see what they're capable of, but none of us have the "I'm unbreakable" attitude that most teens possess. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks much for your time and consideration.

Binghamton here too, and always looking for people to ride with and places to ride.

Hello Latisimo77,
I'm new to ATV's. Just put a downpayment on a 2007 Outlander 650 Max-XT in Camo. In transit. Can't wait. I'm in Walton. Does anyone know of "easy" trails for newbies??!! Not into the whole mud/water/rock climbing thing (yet!!). Just want to trail ride solo or with the "better half" until I get some experience.

Hey there Joelpolaris,
If you are looking for places to ride in the B'ton area, check out this link. It is run by "sonofcesare" who is in the Windsor area and puts on rides frequently.

Also, I live in Walton. My wife and I just got an '07 Can-Am Outlander 650 Max XT. We are new to the ATV world and are looking for some places to go. Nothing too wild, for now. Just out for a good leisurely trip.

I don't know what happened to it. I just figured since it was posted a long time ago, it was dropped. But, it is only 1/2 hour from me.

I would love to go to corning any info?

What happened to the information about riding around Oneonta. My family lives in Delhi and I know a few people who are looking for places to ride.
Posted by: jacmax69
PM if you would like, we might know each others families. I haven't been in Delhi for about 14 years but like I said my family is still there. My brother has a Cat 650 which he rides along the old train track just outside of town but it is only a couple miles and gets old. His friend also rides and they go along the power lines along Rt 28 but that gets old as well.
