<< Todd400,

We ride just 15 min. north in Enon. The owner has about 200-300 acres of trails for atv's and dirt bikes. He only charges $5.00 per unit all day. Any way, if you could give me any information and directions on how to get to Long Lake and any other recomendations you have I would appreciate it. If you are interested in riding in Enon, get back with me and I will give you the Info.

Todd400, could you send me info/directions on the Enon riding area? I live just south of Dayton and have never heard of it. Thanks.

timscherer, thanks for the directions! We ususlly ride at S-Tree or Livingston in Ky, or Wayne National Forest(Athens district). Have also ridden at Pike State Forest.(Latham,Oh) Haspin Acres, and Big Rock in Ky. I just last night heard of one near Oxford,Oh. and am trying to find out about it. It is supposed to be like the one in Enon, have to sign a waiver and all. I will let you know when and if I find it.

The best place within a couple hours or dayton/cincy is Wayne National Forest, near Logan Ohio. From northern Cincy (Sharonville) I can make it in about 2.5 hours, it's a 128 miles door to camp site.

Lots of trails to ride.. some 66,000 acres I believe. The place is huge. Camping is allowed and free if you go primative (which I always do)..

Camping at camp ohio or camp williams is rather cheap.. they have showers etc..

It's $25 for a YEAR pass, per person.

Todd.. what do you ride?

Brad

Hi All~

I live in Sidney, OH. We also ride at Haspin & Livingston, KY. We have a few local places around here to ride, nothing great - just farm fields, a homemade track and such. I ride a 2000 DS650 and the buddies rides 400ex, Raptors and we even have a few LT250R around. We should hook up sometime this summer.

Todd400 & TimScherer~
Sorry I haven't check this forum in awhile. I got the directions to Enon and plan on making a trip their sometime this summer. We all need to hook up sometime and ride Haspins. Anyways, Tim - Long's is easy to get to. But like Todd said, it's a local place for local people. Not much going on. They have a few creek crossings, a couple three little mx/jumps places, a few mud bogs, a drag strip and a lake to swim in if you feel the need. I think Amos raised the price to $10 and the city tore the bridge out so the only way across to the other side is via the creek. Todd was right about the noise level. If you have a 2 stroke w/ an aftermarket pipe or a big-bore 4 stroke with an aftermarket pipe, you should save your money and trip gas. Cause if he don't let you in from the start, he'll wait till you start it up and run it a while than ask you to leave. I got pretty tight with Amos last year. He had 2 old Polaris (91 2x4's) that had major issues. I take them back with me and charged him parts and very little cash for labor. Thinking I would help a feller out, and wouldn't you know it. He asked me to leave one day. Even though I've been their many times, and helped him out. O well, guess I won't be going their any more. We built a little track in sisters woods, only about 15 acres or so. So that's our local riding area now.

Thats funny, A co-worker just turned me on to Enon a few weeks ago, Im very impressed, Its a very nice placeAs far as Long Lake you would be disapointed I think at making the trip to Lima, Its a cool spot for the locals but you can cover everthing in about 20 -30 minutes, The last time I went the owner said he was having complaint problems from his niegbors over the loud 2 strokes? You can probably pm NewDSLover and get directions and the low down if it is still open. Its been so long since I went I do not remember the directions. Im going to try to go to Enon tomorrow if the rain holds off so I can ride a little this weekend, If you can make it look for my red Scrammy or a black 2000 ext cab 4x4 Chevy in the parking area and we can hook up

Posted by: Todd400

My wife and I will ride in Enon soon, I will let you know, and we can hook up then. We plan on making a lot of trips this year, Haspen, BigRock, WNF, etc., and I hope to race here locally as well. Hey Gergb

Where do you ride, I am interested in finding areas in south western ohio. If you know of any please let me know.

Diections to Enon from Kettering or South of Dayton:

I-675 North to st.rt.444 (go east)(turn right)

stay on rt.444 for approx. 6-8 miles

once you pass bridge that goes over I-70, look for a gravel drive to your left (2nd drive once past bridge)

gravel drive leads back to a red barn, you can see it from the road.

You must call the owner first before you ride, and if you have never been there before to sign paper work (insurance reasons)

owner name: Bud (937) - 603 - 0229 (cell phone)
