I have been to Finger Lakes a couple of times. I really like it there. They do not require a flag unless the rules changed lately. I asked the lady why and she said because the hills are so steep and top out so fast that a person on the other side wouldn't see you anyway. I didn't ride many trails ontop of the hills. Most went over the hills. Once I saw it, I knew what she was saying. Ride smart there but I'm telling you it will be fun.

I am going to Mark Twain Lake later this summer for a vacation, and want to know if there is a place to take the three wheeler out for a spin. I belive it is in missouri, a little northwest of saint louis. It would have to be fairly close, withing like 30 minutes or so.
Thanks

Yeah, St. Joes was my first thought, but it is further than I wanted to drive. I looked up finger lake state park and it looks like fun, and it is really close. will have to wait and see.
thanks

Mark Twain National Forest is in southern Missouri. The Mark Twain Lake area is in northeast Missouri. I am from Perry which is about 6 miles from the Dam area. I don't know of any public areas to ride at anywhere in the area closer than Finger Lakes State Park in Columbia which is about an hours drive from the lake. We all ride on private land.

There are some trails in Mark Twain. A buddy of mine goes down there quite a bit. He goes to Chadwick. It's around Springfield, MO somewhere. He said they have some pretty good trails set up. Check out the Missouri DNR site. They should have some info on it.

Howdy,
Finger Lakes State Park is the only place I can think of. It is just to the north of Columbia on HWY 63.It has been 10 or 12 years since I have riden there though, but back then they had some good trails and a track. From Mark Twain it would most likely be closer to 45 minutes to an hour, depending where you stay.
Hope I helped, Danno

I believe there is trails at the lake itself. I just read a article on it here awhile back. If not at the lake really close by. Call the lake and ask them. they should know.
