im also from ct. and i agree 100% that this state sucks for riding atv's. there arent any state forest or mx tracks to go to for atv's in ct. the only places that are legal to ride are your own land or someone else's land if you have written permission. there is a great sand pit in plainville, the owner of it bought a polaris quad and gave it to the cops, so that they could go in and kick people out. lucky enough for me, the owner of this place is a friend of the family and gave me a letter to give to the cops saying i can ride there. as of now, im the only one that can legally ride there. people that are caught there get a large ticket to pay. we really need to do something in this state, i wish that someone would open up an mx track for quads, that would be a dream come true for alot of us that live here in connecticut. the closest mx parks to us are in New York and Massachusettes. this topic has come up a number of times, you can do a search to see other peoples reply's.
if you would like to contact me, my e-mail is now j_quads00@hotmail.com, its different than what it says it is in my profile so dont use that one.

CT is not quad friendly. I do most of my riding in Mass, but I continuosly hear of trails in Danbury,Bristol, and northern CT. I live in Waterbury. Please feel free to E-mail me if you find any trails. Good luck!

Mass has many places to ride,Otis and October mountain are nice, but I find Pittsfield State park to be my favorite(not as rocky). October mountain is very large but not as friendly for a sport bike, but I manage. Both require Mass. reg.($20 a year out of state). All three are off of route 8 from CT. Season starts march 31st(?) I believe. Well worth the reg. and trip. Newtown CT has a very nice sand pit but, local law enforcement are not very friendly.

I live in CT also.Newtown area.I dont own a quad yet but I will be definetly getting a rubicon or a rancher 4x4.When I get it im going to look into alot of riding out of state.MA,NY,VT any where I can find.I have to hook up with a group of adult riders.
I also belong to a hiking club that goes on hikes throughout the entire state. You should see the trails in some of these state and town parks!!!They are loaded with incredible trails. Its like a big tease to the people who have ATV's since they are not aloud in there.
I really would like to join responsible people who care about the land and want to ride responsibly, casual riding.Plese contact me so we could talk.Im not into going fast.More into checking out the scenery.
Lets keep this topic going. Shawn
