To bad you guys you weren't going to Laurel IN.... on the 30th of SEPT. We got a few guys going. I would go back to Attica, but already been 3 times in the last 6 months. Good luck..have fun!

If you went a week later later I'd see you there...I'm going on the 30th. Are you staying the night up there? I'm wondering how nice he Bed & Breakfast places are within Attica.

I had a great time there on the 30th (Sept). I only dissappointed by the fact that quads we not allowed on the MX track. The most unique feature I liked was the small cliff-jumps (jumping down). One semi-challenging hill to climb was the one with a CAUTION sign at the top. There were many other that were also fun but for that one I had a small crowd watching (15~30 quads). I have a few (very few) pictures from that trip since we rarely stopped riding. Check them out at http://dvnt1.homeip.net I'll be modifying my site a lot over the next couple weeks and adding more pictures as well. DVNT1 '99 400EX

I think we r goin back on the 30th or the 1st. If we do go, there will only be 4 of us, me on my bayou 220, ryan on his 250x, adam on his warrior, and maybe rick on his blaster if hge gets it fixed. hope to see some of u there.

I might be going Sunday, if I dont have to work. If Im there I will be driving a black sonoma ith a ds on the trailer.

Yes I ride a ds650. Its pretty much stock except for steel braided hoses, renthal handle bars and razors on the back. You cant miss it, it has B1-BOMBER in red on the back fendes. I try to make my machine look a little bit different.

I called the Badlands at 11:30 10/5/00. NO quads or dirtbike will be aloud to ride this weekend. They are having some sort of jeep and truck bash. I think thats kind of discriminating. Theres plenty of room for everyone.

Awright, now you've getting me jazzed! We're meeting some family members from Illinois at Badlands this weekend (10/7 & 10/8), and it's the first time at Badlands for my wife and I. We're hauling our camper up there as well, and spending the weekend there.I've seen some pictures from a recent article that one of the ATV mag's did, but you guys have my throttle thumb twitching! Is anyone going this weekend (10/7 - 8)?

Posted by: RubiconBob

MarlboroMan007, I'll be on a red Rubicon, and my wife on a red/white Polaris TrailBoss. We'll be riding with her sister and husband, who have a Kodiak 2x4 and a Warrior, hauled by a red fullsize Blazer (or whatever they call them now!). I'm driving a F-350 4x4 Dually pickup (black & silver like Earnhardt's racer, with a big #3 on the back window) with a rack mounted on the bed for hauling the 2 ATV's. Their red SUV will have Illinois plates, adn mine will have Ohio plates. Don't know where we'll park, as it is my first time there. I'll try to look for you with the black Sonoma. Is that a DS650 that you ride?

Well, we did go this weekend, and we were allowed to ride, in spite of the Jeep Jamboree. We evened watched the 4x4's play in the mud, and hills, etc. Saw some great vehicles. Badlands is an awesome place to ride, with such a variety of terrain. Hell, we even noticed three distinct types of mud (watery, gumbo, and swap (stanky!)). We had to leave at five pm, because of the Jamboree, but at least we got to ride. Our in-laws prefer to play in the sand and gravel, like some of you, but my wife and I enjoyed the hills, mud, and trails. We will definitely be going back.

They were telling folks that called or checked the webpage that they were closed to ATV's, but they decided not to turn anyone away that showed up at the gate. You just had to agree to give the Jeeps and trucks the right-of-way, and you had to leave the park at 5pm, because they were having a catered dinner. There was easily between 100 - 200 ATV'ers and motorcycles there. Hey, BigBoy400ex, can you give me directions on how to get to Haspin Acres? It's a lot closer, and we would like to check it out...

Hey, thanks! I appreciate that, DCSP500!

Posted by: RubiconBob

I hear ya, but at least half of Badlands was trails and/or forest! There is no way to ride all of the trails in a single weekend, yet alone a day. Course, now I sound like I'm defending the place. Looking forward to getting to Haspin sometime soon....

any time. I like haspens a lot more then badlands. Its better suited to my sp500 and I love the woods. sand is ok but hard tires and bearings.

I think that they're having a 4X4 Jamboree that weekend (Oct.7&8). They don't let quads or bikes in when they have a truck event going on. Go to their website to check it out. www.badlandsoffroad.com Scott
