You might want to check out the forest trails south of Gould. Good for a day or two of riding. The national forest access road goes south-west out of Gould and you can camp at many different remote campsites and check out the ghost town of Teller City and ride almost to the top of Baker Pass. There are many side roads and also good day hikes in an around the Never Summers Wilderness area.

A lot of people go to the Sand dunes around Walden. Its not to far west of Chambers Lake. Would be a good place for your Warrior and Banshe. Havent made it up there yet but understand you can also find some trails in the wooded area. Lots of trails up and down the canyon. ATVers camp at the Bald Mnt. trail just south of the Pot Belly Restarunt in Red Feather Lakes. Was there last week, some of the trail was pretty rocky. Have a good ride. Bill

This weekend I am planning to go to the Roosevelt Nat'l Forest West of Ft. Collins to do some camping and riding. I was looking at Chambers Lake as there is a campground and some 4x4/ATV trails there. Has anybody been to that place or able to recommend something better. I am looking for easy trail riding; no mud bogs or rock climbing type stuff. I've searched the forums but couldn't find anything helpful exception a mention of Red Feather Lakes. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Bill. Actually, Walden is my main stomping grounds and I was looking for something a little different. Trying to just take it easy and do some riding that is a little more scenic. I hurt my arm at Walden 2 weekends ago and the wife isn't too big on the dunes anyway. I think I'll go through the Red Feather Lakes area on my way to wherever I end up going and check it out..
I'll be at Saint Anthony, ID over Labor day... Big dunes.
