honestly I think it's a waste of time... they slide over pretty much everything there is now...
But if you do... I'd like you to come back in a few months and give us an update on how it works out for ya...

Rocks would cut right thru those liners... not to mention you'd get hung up more with them...
good thought though....

Interesting thought. I doubt if the paint will stand up to rocks very well. Maybe something like Line-X or Rhino truck bed liner would hold better.

I sure wouldn't paint them. It will end up looking really bad a few months down the road when there are hundreds of bright aluminum scratches all over the bottom of your painted skid plates. Kind of like those black dirt bike wheels that are becoming popular now -- they look great in the showroom, then look horrible after they get roosted a few dozen times.
I don't think they will help the skids slide any better either.

I read this title and thought you were gonna paint the skid plates BRIGHT ORANGE, so it would rub off on the high rocks..haha ........try that

ordered a new set of ricochet skids. i am considering painting the bottom of the skids with marine grade DTM paint (direct to metal) to allow the skids to slide over mud and stumps better? Do you guys think this work or just a waste of time?
