Swisher Dump as a plow?

You probably could move snow with it, as long as it isn't too deep. Can't angle the bucket, so heavy snow will just mound up in front and you'll end up having to lift, turn and dump a lot.

The snow blade can be angled, which pushes the snow to one side. Drop it and take off.

It's a metal snow blade, so it makes a pretty decent gravel scraper, too.

should be fine

I have tried using the bucket to move some snow around and it's a poor substitute for the plow at best. Snow build up in the bucket and you end up just pushing a path with the snow pushed to both sides. Once the snow is compacted in the bucket it can be a bear to clean out.

We have both the plow and bucket and would urge you to make the same choice.

I have to agree with tencubed. I have a small tractor that I use to stack the snow with and the bucket is always packed full. Typically I use the ATV to plow the snow back then use the tractor to stack so I don't need as much stock pile area.

I was just wondering if the dump bucket could serve as a plow for a small area. I know its narrower than a typical plow so it'll take longer.

We have a small gravel driveway so I would never be scraping down to the pavement anyway, and both cars are all wheel drive so I'm mostly concerned with just keeping the snow from building up.

Thanks.

Thanks for the advice, I may end up getting both in the end.
