Hi all,
I have about 1500' of gravel driveway that I use my 60" tusk plow on, and so far, it works fine. My question is relating to the skid plates. They're about 4 inches across and since I have gravel (not concrete or asphalt) the skid plates don't keep the blade from gouging down into the gravel and throwing it. I do have them set as low as possible. Are there wider / longer skidplates available somewhere or will I need to fabricate something wider myself...?
any ideas or tips are welcome
THANKS IN ADVANCE

Get some hardened steel and merely weld it to the bottom of your existing skid plates. I cut 2 pieces out of an old tongue--the piece that a trailer ball is bolted to. Very hard steel and lasted for 2 years with very little wear.
