I don't have a Polaris but I would assume it is on the left side on top of the engine case somewhere. Unless it has a seperate oil tank.

My 700 engine was filled through the dipstick tube, using a funnel. Maybe yours is the same as that.

Ok I know this is a stupid question....I just bought a used 05 Polaris Sportsman 800 and after checking the engine oil, I noted it was low. I couldn't visually see where to fill oil, even after removing both plastic side covers. The owners manual was absolutely no help....there is no mention of where to locate the oil filler cap and no schematic! Can someone help this helpless newbie?! Thanks in advance.
