How did he find the problem? I hope he showed you the worn parts. Not that I don't trust dealerships, but I don't trust dealerships. Hope everything works out for you.

the dealer showed me the parts that were worn and had play in them before they did any work and gave me a couple of options and i chose to replace everything - i agree with you about trusting dealers but thats why i go out of my way to these guys thanks

My 1st guess would be your weights in the primary pulley have dried out and need grease.
Have you got water in your belt drive housing ever?

You have to service the primary pulley.
Download the grizz service manual here>LINK
Or take it in to your dealer and have it done if your not into working on your own quad.
