I know what you mean, that knob is ugly and shade-tree mechanic looking.
I did see them selling new traxlock differentials with the driveshaft on ebay. Then you would just need to mount a rocker switch somewhere.

Has any one put one of these on there ATV and made a different way of enanging and disengaging it with out have the handle put throw the fender so it looks cleaner?
