Is it old gas? Has it been sitting? Try spraying a little starting fluid in the carb.

If you have spark and fuel, and it wont start...look for low compression, or bad timing.

Is it flooded?

checking compression is easy. Get a nice kit, not a 20 or $25 cheapo tester. I bought mine from Sears for I think 50 bucks. Snap-On makes a nice one too. But be sure it's one that screws into the spark plug hole, like mentioned above.

well, to check for bad compresion, u need a compression tester that screws in where the spark plug goes.
