Come on I know there has to be some of you out there. There is going to be a 4 hour team race held in Goldendale , Washington May1st at the Starvation Ridge Track. You can have 2-4 riders per team, and 2-4 quads per team, and there is an ironman class if you cant find a team mate. Anyways we need to get some more utilities racing, they also are having a series for the Utility class and so far they have only had a couple entries, so lets pick it up. For more info EMAIL ME and I will get you some more info. You can also view some pictures from the races if you want to check it out at ATV RACES

well I am just trying to help promote it, my dad races a Brute Force 650 in it! I race another class in the series, I am just trying to keep all the classes alive!

well we will keep trying , and as for the series there is a womens class and a Utility class, let me know and I can give you a list of the remaining scheduled events.

you dont have to have 4 team members, you can do it with 3 people or 2 people!

No way, all of our teams do the 4 hour race on with 2 guys, and yes some of the our Utility Teams, My dad has a TRX 450, A VFORCE, and a Brute Force 650, and he says that it is easier and takes less out of him to race the Utility, very easy to do with 2 people, 2-3 laps and switch and just keep doing that! It is not that hard. well hope to see some of you there

i hear where you are coming from, but it is not as bad as you think just like you ride for a half hour take a half hour break, then do it again. But it might not be for all people. I am just trying to help promote. Anyways of you decide to do it good luck, and if not hopefull we will see you catch a normal race sometime this year, they are approx. 1 hour long! Have fun

well at the last team race the team of a Brute Force 650, and a Polaris 400, this is a track where a lot of it is rider ability, I mean, I am sure you 500 goes fast enough to race, the rest is up to the rider!!

Well Hope to see some of you at the team race Next Sunday May 1st, the race is at the Starvation Ridge Track in Goldendale, and the race starts at 10 am. Anyone wanting more info post here and we will try and get you some info!

I agree w/ you quadduck It's ALOT different rolling a ute thru a race than a sportie I'm sure of it!!! I'm not sure which one I would last longer on really my ute or 300ex I think it'd probably be about the same maybe? BUT then again i haven't rode my ute for a aLONG time, in fact taking it trail riding today for the 1st time in a LONG time Plus age is a factor too LOL img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> ahhhh to be young & full of it again !!!

You might be right....

I don't see what utility bike you are riding? I have considered this race but my buds always bail on me too. This time I might have a team of 4 so see ya there.
Posted by: quadduck
Yeah but less than four on a ute is pretty brutal

You missed what I was saying, most of the utility riders can endure the speed but not the pace. I have allways rode with sport quads so I was use to trying to keep up. I was saying that not many have raced and unless you are use to racing, you might do okay for the beginning but slowly the race will wear out the riders.
I was just wanting to point out it is better to have 4 members in my opinion.

I agree it can be done with a large number of different size machines that will work. It only really matters when you get into more competitive classes.

What size machines are typically running in these utility races? I would assume it's dominated by the 700 cc machines (King Quad, Brute Force 700, Prairie/Twin Peaks) and maybe a few 650's (e.g BF 650). My little ole' stock 500cc could be outmatched.
